The congregation loves to be active in the community and has many community events throughout the year, including but not limited to, Monster Bash, Peach Festival, Strawberry Festival, Caroling during Christmas, and Sour Beef dinners . Zion UCC is very focused on missions (as the UCC tends to be mission oriented). It really makes you feel great that you can help others in so many different ways. Pastor Courtney is very relatable and is always striving to reach out to the congregation in new and inspiring ways during the services. She's also very welcoming of constructive feedback. Her sermons touch on the scripture AND relates to modern day living/ struggles, even current events. She really makes you think and inspires at the same time! Music tends to be on the more traditional side, but there are occasions where more modern music is sung/ played. There's a nice blend of tradition and modern worship. Personally, being on the more spiritual side, I feel right at home! I would recommend Zion UCC to everyone of all ages, no matter who or where you are on life's journey!

Calvary Chapel in Delta Pa is a wonderful church. I have been going…read more for 10 yrs. or more now and love it. Pastor Doug teaches word by word from the bible. When you are not a book person, this really helps you to understand the bible. The people at Calvary are down to earth, and easy to talk to. They have many different events throughout the year for adults and children including childcare for every Sunday service. Calvary Chapel has a program called the Delta Pregnancy program. This program helps all women in their walk with God while they are questioning their pregnancy. What truly makes a good church is the Pastor. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Pastor Doug. He truly cares about his church family. I am so grateful that Pastor Doug baptized my granddaughter when she turned 9. He made sure she understood what her baptism meant. My grand daughter true likes Pastor Doug. His 5 children were all home schooled and he married each one of them. I feel Pastor Doug and his wife are truly Blessed.

The building takes it's inspiration from Gothic cathedrals with large pointed arches and arched glass windows. The stained glass windows in the apse are colorful and detailed. It has a large nave that seems to go on for yards. The wooden pews are solid as the faith as the people who built this church. The church is a wonderful location for organ and vocal music. The acoustics and sound system are very impressive in this building. The cantor's deep baritone voice carried perfectly and the choice of music was well suited for a somber event.

Didn't get too many odd looks when I stayed in the pews while people shuffled up for communion, though I think in two years I only saw one other Asian there and he looked adopted. The flock is primarily a mix of young white families and older white couples. You notice these details in between all the standing and sitting and kneeling and shaking hands with your neighbors. I preferred sitting behind the pillars out of politeness. Very spacious church, though definitely chilly. Seriously love the architecture and stained glass windows, it's the kind of venue little girls might dream about using in the far future.

On Sunday I visited this church for the first time. Praise and worship was okay, however the pastor…read morewas really good. He was very in tune with the audience and connected to everyone. He let his spirit lead him in the direction of the sermon which I enjoyed a lot. It was easy to understand and I could relate to the topic which was expectations. Service lasted for 2 hours. 1 hour being praise and worship, 30 mins sermon and last 30 mins altar call and offering.
