Once a country church, it is located near one of the busiest intersections in Harford County, but is down a hill and feels sylvan and safely protected. I had made several visits to this church some years ago. Chimes regularly ring out from the belfry. I have not visited the church recently, I'm told that it is in the process of a rector search. Yes, GFC is a somewhat non-traditional congregation where Christian lyrics rather than hymns are sung, sermons are available for sale on tape, and the crowd of attendants genuinely enjoys the service. The pastors speak to topics that are very applicable to young people and tend to be on thought-provoking, moving material. Grace features a younger crowd than most traditional places of worship and offers numerous bonding activities for folks of all ages. The church was recently (within the past few years) ungraded to have a beautiful tile altar. No more green carpet! Father Jerry always has great homilies and I always feel a sense of peace leaving mass.
