Last year in the late fall and we moved to east Rochester from west Rochester. I had to transfer my both kids to new school. This school was willing to take my daughter in and provided the scholarship application because they know my situation. My daughter won't be able to go school without their generous scholarship that helped me to get thru without any difficulty financial. I am thankful for this school to give my daughter a wonderful experience and the best one! She did not have any difficult time to adjust to new environment and made new friends quick! Add to the note, I have to emphasize that I love the way how they deal with pick up and drop off routine because it helps to keep everything neutral. Teachers would come to the vehicle and to get kids or put kids in without parents come out. That's way it keeps kids safe. Thank you for everything you guys have done for my family and especially for my daughter!!! I'd recommend anyone to send your kid to this school because they'll make sure your kid and your expectations and experiences to be wonderful!!! read more

Truly an incredible program from 2s on up. Flexible, nurturing, caring and loving environment that meets each child AT their level. All of the teachers aspire to help children grow socially, verbally and academically. Their family centered approach helps not only the child, but the families, as they navigate the early years prior to school. Their close working relationship with Pittsford schools ensures their oldest learners are ready for kindergarten, with evolving programs to meet the community's needs you couldn't ask for a more perfect preschool. My oldest STILL asks to visit, as a 2nd grader, my middle cried when the year was over and has a countdown to next year going. In selecting a preschool, we felt that it was a weighty decision because it would be our son's first school experience, and we wanted it to be a positive one. We are beyond pleased with the three years our son spent at Christ Clarion Community Preschool (and look forward to sending our daughter in another year). Our son participated in the 3 and 4 year old programs, as well as the Literacy and Science Enrichment classes. He enjoyed his time with the different teachers in each of these programs. The teacher pairs work well together. Though each unique, they created a warm, nurturing learning environment for our son. There is an emphasis on learning through play (but there is also structure during meeting/circle times), and the teachers model appropriate behavior and social interactions through playful exchanges, too. The teachers were available and quick to respond whenever a concern arose, and parent involvement is welcomed. Birthdays and holidays are celebrated, and there are other special days throughout the year--all great memory making opportunities for children! Since he would have been a very young 5 year old entering kindergarten, we decided (with input from the teachers) to give our son an extra "gift" year of preschool. We saw such social-emotional growth in that extra year and know he is ready for full day K this fall. We only wish we could have taken advantage of the new transitional K program now being offered! read more

Our child developed a nervous tic and regressed in toileting after attending this school. From our personal experience and observations, there was not a socially healthy environment created for our child at this school. We had many questions as to how a negative social undercurrent evolved as we believed it to be highly unlikely in the development of children this age. Other parents we spoke with had similar experiences. If I could do it over again I would not have sent my child there. read more
