Toured Childtime in Penfield recently to find a place for our children. We were greeted by the…read moreDirector who was pleasant. Another woman was walking around with a clipboard. She wasn't very friendly and after observing awhile snapping at the Staff and actually rude to one. The way you treat staff also indicates how children are treated. The two school age classrooms Nursery and Pre-K were not really engaged in learning, It is important to play but also be learning as young minds develop quickly. There were a few older staff which was reassuring as nurturing is so important especially with babies. We continue to look, but this center needs some more experienced staff who are teachers and not just playing. We have a Pre-K child and want him to learn. My husband forgot something inside and when returned overheard the one woman commenting on our visit and didn't care if we came as we were to picky-Wow-I wouldn't recommend this place and my friends that have children there I will mention the unprofessionalism this blonde woman had.

Ms. Amanda, Ms. Ann, Ms. Danielle, and Ms. Lucy are amazing. The longer we have had our son there, we know that they love him like their own. My granddaughter attended this daycare and was dragged across the floor by one arm and slammed in a…read morechair. get this! my granddaughter was already seated in a chair waiting for breakfast. she was dragged from one chair across the room to another chair. My daughter mentioned the incident to the Director and even though it was on camera, nothing was done about it. Please please please trust your judgement as a parent, if your child becomes uneasy when dropping them off to a particular person. your child may not be able to speak but you know your child. Something is seriously wrong with this one particular employee. She should in no way ever be left to care for small defenseless children. to make matters worse- There were more than one employee in the room at the time of my granddaughter's incident which tells me it's accepted and common behavior.

Staff come and go IN PENFIELD as they are treated so poorly as we witnessed over and over agAIn. we know of a woman who recently quit-she said that Andrea and Kelley are bitches to work for and only are nice when they want something. The staff needs to be older and have more expereince. We signed up today, worked out for 30 minutes, then picked up our son to find out on our own once we checked his bag, that he was fed a bottle that was not his. He consumed someone else's breast milk and or formula. We're still waiting on their staff to resolve this issue. If you're a parent, I don't have to explain the concern, frustration and worry that comes along with this. Needless to say this was SO not what we expected from the YMCA. We will not be back. Be careful who you decide to leave your children with.

The Eastside Family YMCA has been a service which provides our family hours of entertainment. The…read morefacilities are clean and easily accessible. The staff is very helpful when we have questions about schedules and activities. We take advantage of the child drop off which allows us to workout and gives our kids something to do. They have daily drop off times which is helpful. We also enjoy the pool and hot tub, as well as the ability to go to any other YMCA in the area and use their facilities. It is a great value for our family of 5 and while we have only been members for a month, we look forward to our weekly visits and it has become part of our routine.
