My husband instantly felt comfortable and we both have grown so much since coming here!! It's not just for "cowboys". City folks and bikers attend as well. Its very much about coming as you are, no need to dress up. Some do, some don't, its your choice. The pastor and associate pastor are both very evangelistic and preach from the bible. It's definitely a bring your bible church. And every sermon will include lots of humor- both pastors can't help but make you smile. There's a fine line between preaching what the word says, but saying it with love to all mankind and they nail it. There will always be those who chose to be offended but if you read any sermon preached on paper by these guys you'd see that they aren't just preaching "at you" but at themselves and that we "hate the sin, not the sinner". No need to sugar coat things, just listen, learn and grow. Many beautiful testimonies have been shared by the pastors and congregation, we all have a story to share for what Jesus has done and can do in our lives. And if you don't have one- come here and they will be sure to help!

A lovely ,Catholic lady in our extended family had been a parishoner ,with her husband, for many years. She was very active in this church ,a member of the Loaves and Fishes program and as past president of the St. Vincent de Paul society. Her husband was a deacon in this church. Together, they were major contributors to this church. All of this apparently meant nothing to the women who run the office for this church. In her ninety fourth year and declining days, unable to care for herself, one of her sons took her into his home to care for her. That home is a mere three miles from St. Williams. The lady wanted to receive Holy Communion and when her family called to arrange for that compassionate service, they were told that St. Williams parish couldn't do that because of a territorial issue. The family discussed this and decided to call back and try to speak with someone in a higher position. That woman's suggestion was to move her back to her home and then they would comply with their wishes. They also woiuld not schedule a memorial service after she had passed. As I previously stated, I am a lifelong practicing Catholic. My ancestors and I proudly worked to build four Catholic shurches in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We have had several priests in our lives and I have never heard of something so cold and heartless coming from a parish office. Again, I'm sorry to have to report on this but this review will stand until the office staff is terminated and the family receives an apology from the pastor

I decided to attend Ash Wednesday Services at St Williams Catholic Church in Round Rock, Tx. I…read morecurrently don't belong to a specific parish as I am searching for the right one for me. The church looked quite large from the outside and when I walked up to the side entrance, there was a sign as to how many people could be in the church at one time and it was around 1700. I was absolutely amazed when I entered the church. It was beautiful And huge.! I attended a midday liturgy of the word service along with the distribution of ashes as it worked out best time wise for me being at 3 PM. As it was, I still ended up in some rush-hour traffic on the way back to Leander, which was frustrating. The music, the soloist , the organist, the priest and his assistants were all easily heard. The acoustics must be very good.. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautifully painted background behind the altar. I'm placing a picture below. I really liked everything about this church except that it's a fair distance from my house and as I get older, I'm not sure I would be able to continue to travel on Sundays and Holy days . One last thing to mention is for lent. They are having fish fries every Friday from 5 to 7 PM. I believe so you don't have to be a member of the congregation to attend those fish fries and it really helps the parish with funding for special projects.

Alright, so I visited this church on Sunday for the first time. May I preface this with I'm 30…read moreyears old, single, and visited on the 4th of July (where it probably wasn't a typical Sunday for them). The church was INCREDIBLY friendly. A wonderful Stephen Minister, Barbara, found me early-on and introduced me to numerous members and and the two pastors of the church. She took me to her Sunday School class, and sat next to me in Church. She informed me of some of the basics of the church, explained some of the history behind the decor in the church, and much more. The church is very large - in size and congregation. There are two ministers - Val and Rosie - who are both very vibrant people. Why this church may not be for me: The congregation is primarily made up of 50+ and young families. There really is not a young professionals population. And, since connecting with others in my same life-stage is important to me, I probably won't end up here permanently. If, however, you are a parent to grade-school aged kids, or 50+ married/divorced and looking to meet similar people, this might be the place for you. It might also be for you if you're interested in local ministries, global ministries, children's ministries, a great choir (or so I hear, they were off for the summer), or a church with plenty of opportunities to get involved and meet others. I do plan to go back for blessing of the pets, this Wednesday at 6:30 P.M.

I don't drive, but thankfully I live close and have a list of folks who I can call for rides. Yes we do have a wonderful choir. Singing everyday is good for you. Immediately after I joined the choir, I felt like part of the group. I enjoy that Covenant is a hands on church. We do work in the community. Our Pastor Val is wonderful. Her sermons are very relevant to our lives. I look forward to going to church every week. Th website has pod casts if you're interested. There are folks of all ages and lots and lots going on all the time. I love it.

He is actually an excellent choir director and worship leader, but he does not tolerate any positive suggestions from anyone. Having been kicked out of the choir was quite a blow. As I have been in choirs from elementary school-college, as well as church choirs, it was my conclusion that the worship "minister" was solely about himself - where he had eaten, where he had been, and "it's my way or the highway." Friends also told us that they did not feel welcomed at all, and they went elsewhere. We appreciated the Sr. Minister, but some of the Sunday School leaders were quite "off base." There was no independent thinking amongst the ministerial staff. They automatically agreed with one another. I would not recommend this place of worship to anyone.

The real problems on using the church parking lot are; 1) the parking lot gets so full parishioners CANNOT get out safe into the parking spaces 2) the entrance and exits are BLOCKED 3) the lot attendants are mostly IGNORANT, RUDE, NO IDEA because the parking lot is a HUGE mess 4) most IMPORTANTLY they block the Sunrise Road which becomes a BIG safety concern/issue. The parish church MUST have a dialogue with the outlying food community in controlling a safe, correct, and limi the cars safe parking lot capacity. The church members of St John Vianney are open and are willing to help and accommodate everyone safely. This parking lot nonsense are causing a lot of inconvenience, anger, safety and lack of control. Those who has authority, do it RIGHT. May the Lord blesses all. Thank you.

In my many years as a Catholic, this is by far the most diverse religious community that I have ever worshiped with. At every service, there are people from India, Africa, Vietnam, Hispanic people and white people. There are lots of families with children of all ages. There is a Pastor with many years of experience and an associate priest as well as several deacons who assist the priests at services. If you are someone who wants to be involved in a religion, I would simply recommend that you attend a service either on Saturday at 5: pm or one of the many Sunday services

We love this church so much that moving further away is simply out of the question. Our children have attended religious ed. since they were tiny and the RE classes and Life Teen are amazing. There are literally so many ministries it's hard to keep track of them all. STM would have a 5 star rating if not for all the silly 1 star reviews having nothing to do with the church and everything to do with traffic on 620. Do these same people rate UT as 1 star when I35 is backed up for football games? How about the Round Rock Express due traffic congestion before and after games? Also, let's be real, 620 is a mess regardless of mass times at STM. I've been bumper to bumper on 620 when nothing is going on at the church. Lastly, let's remember, this church is serving the needs of the community and the traffic during mass times means 100's of people are attending each mass because it is a safe, welcoming, and loving church. Why be mad? People are gathering to worship. I feel truly blessed to see the number of people at each mass. It's heartwarming to know that so many find the message of peace, love and forgiveness here. So my suggestion is if you're stuck or slowed down in traffic on 620 before a mass....come on in! You will be welcomed and you just may come to understand why it is that so many feel the wade thru the traffic is so worth it! Blessing.
