Thankfully, a good friend of ours recommended City Reach; and after checking out the church over a couple of Sundays, we made our choice. We enjoyed and continue to be delighted by the friendliness of the church member community here. The parking team does a wonderful job each Sunday to make sure we find a parking spot, and they have a shuttle that brings us to the entrance. Drip coffee and hot tea are provided if you'd like to enjoy a hot beverage while worshipping and listening to the sermon. The worship teams are truly in the spirit and sing in the name of Jesus. The worship sets are powerful and we can feel the Holy Spirit moving within us, and we see how others around us have been impacted as well. The pastor is unapologetic in preaching what is written in the Bible. He doesn't add fluff but stays true to the Word. His expository style is appreciated as he highlights the main ideas while calling out key points. They also have a children's program, from infants through high school. Their new campus is beautiful and has several parking lots to choose from. There is also overflow parking available with a shuttle provided. City Reach Church isn't charismatic nor is it traditional (we've been to both kinds in the past), it's actually fun and we look forward to going each Sunday! The style here is unique, though it's not necessarily for everyone. If you're curious to learn what a relationship with Jesus looks like, are new in your walk with Jesus, or if you're looking for a new church home, we highly recommend giving City Reach a try!

I have recently found Christ again after many decades of indifference. I was never a non believer…read morebut rather a passive Christian. Due to the state of the world, I decided to start going to church and formally introduce my children to God. I can not express the love and happiness I feel when I enter that auditorium and hear the music and see the people all praying and singing in unison. My heart vibrates on a different level and I truly feel so close to God and Jesus. I have been attending Sunday sermon and I actually look forward to going to church again. I am a better person to myself and to others for the renewed love I have for God and people. This kind of love I never felt in my Catholic school and church. The message is dynamic and based off the bible, but easily applies to everyday life. My children have attended the kid's church and last week went into the adult section and they absolutely loved it and accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior without hesitation. What an amazing feeling I had as a parent to witness this. City Reach Church is HIGHLY recommended if you want to have a close relationship with God. What an amazing experience this far!!

A lovely ,Catholic lady in our extended family had been a parishoner ,with her husband, for many years. She was very active in this church ,a member of the Loaves and Fishes program and as past president of the St. Vincent de Paul society. Her husband was a deacon in this church. Together, they were major contributors to this church. All of this apparently meant nothing to the women who run the office for this church. In her ninety fourth year and declining days, unable to care for herself, one of her sons took her into his home to care for her. That home is a mere three miles from St. Williams. The lady wanted to receive Holy Communion and when her family called to arrange for that compassionate service, they were told that St. Williams parish couldn't do that because of a territorial issue. The family discussed this and decided to call back and try to speak with someone in a higher position. That woman's suggestion was to move her back to her home and then they would comply with their wishes. They also woiuld not schedule a memorial service after she had passed. As I previously stated, I am a lifelong practicing Catholic. My ancestors and I proudly worked to build four Catholic shurches in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We have had several priests in our lives and I have never heard of something so cold and heartless coming from a parish office. Again, I'm sorry to have to report on this but this review will stand until the office staff is terminated and the family receives an apology from the pastor

I decided to attend Ash Wednesday Services at St Williams Catholic Church in Round Rock, Tx. I…read morecurrently don't belong to a specific parish as I am searching for the right one for me. The church looked quite large from the outside and when I walked up to the side entrance, there was a sign as to how many people could be in the church at one time and it was around 1700. I was absolutely amazed when I entered the church. It was beautiful And huge.! I attended a midday liturgy of the word service along with the distribution of ashes as it worked out best time wise for me being at 3 PM. As it was, I still ended up in some rush-hour traffic on the way back to Leander, which was frustrating. The music, the soloist , the organist, the priest and his assistants were all easily heard. The acoustics must be very good.. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautifully painted background behind the altar. I'm placing a picture below. I really liked everything about this church except that it's a fair distance from my house and as I get older, I'm not sure I would be able to continue to travel on Sundays and Holy days . One last thing to mention is for lent. They are having fish fries every Friday from 5 to 7 PM. I believe so you don't have to be a member of the congregation to attend those fish fries and it really helps the parish with funding for special projects.

The leaders there have a heart for God, there are plenty of things to get involved with and most of our friends and their kids go there. We got connected with our ABF (Sunday School Class) and it helped us out tremendously. Our pastor, Mark Westerfield, is a true servant of God. He leads by example and speaks directly to you on your level. It is because of Central and the people in it that our marriage was saved, strengthened, and growing, and my walk with God is better than it has ever been.

It is a wonderful and loving congregation with a staff who loves the Lord and lives like it. The Word is preached most of the time by our humble founder and senior pastor Mark Westerfield. We have a tremendous and treasured support system as we raise our children to know and and serve God. Central made for a smooth transition for our family after our move. I arranged to meet a church member to get a feel for the place on a Sunday morning. The campus is massive--parking was a nightmare, the sermon hall felt like a stadium, and the hallways were a maze. The sermon itself? Same generic message I've heard countless times. I was craving something bold, raw, and real--something to shake me out of my rut. This wasn't it. The sheer size of the congregation--thousands of heads in front of me--made it impossible to feel seen or connected. I had some hope with the church member who showed me around. He was kind and I opened up about my struggles, but the follow-up was disappointing. I got a text from him six weeks later. Excited for a potential connection, I replied quickly. His response? Two days later. This pattern continued--me responding promptly, him taking days to reply. When he finally suggested coffee, I shared my availability right away. Three days later, he responded. By then, I was done. I told him politely to forget it. Suddenly, he was texting back instantly, insisting he wouldn't "let me go." It felt forced and too late. With their $15,000 to $20,000-a-year per student private school, pristine facilities, and massive attendance, it's clear Hill Country doesn't need me--or you. I came looking for authentic Christian community and left feeling invisible. After this, I've given up on finding a church. If you're seeking a personal, engaging faith community, this might not be the place.

We told the staff our budget and were given a reasonable offer we could afford. Our board members took time off on a week day to tour the space and requested a contract. In the mean time, we declined other options for meeting spaces elsewhere. Imagine our surprise when the director of operations emailed us to say he wouldn't approve our contract because of an alleged miscommunication in pricing. A miscommunication of, say, a couple hundred or even a thousand seems reasonable. No, this miscommunication meant instead of paying under 5K for the year, our group would have to pay 40K. Are y'all kidding me? ‍ For us to meet for 3 hours once a week? The way business is handled by the staff here does not make me interested in learning any more about this church's priorities. Clearly greed is their only priority.

Now, I wish I started sooner! My kids love seeing their friends every Sunday and attending Kid's Church with Mr. Seth. Visiting on the front deck before and after service has become our Sunday norm. For us, it's worth the 30 minute drive from Liberty Hill. Seeing Pastor Marty retire after his recovery from COVID was a shock but understandable. Pastor Steven really stepped up in 2020 and 2021 to fill in some big shoes and has been doing a great job to keep the vision alive and well. I can't avoid mentioning the Church's Christmas production, Follow the Star. It has become an annual tradition for our family. It's amazing to see a small congregation put on such a big event for the community. When I started volunteering, I really got to see the passion of the members at Good Shepherd. They pour in months of effort to make it happen. I highly recommend coming to worship in-person or online.

He teaches verse by verse. Bob is easy to understand how the Word applies to us and our lives. And, yes, he delivers the message in a very similar way and mannerisms as did Chuck Smith, the founder of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in the 1970's.
