I began going to this church about 2 months ago. Pastor Carlos Cardenas was up on stage and the feeling was inexplicable. Great message every Sunday and I was really impressed with this church. Apparently; the lead pastor Omar Giritli was on sick leave and just returned. This man's delivery is uncouth and outdated. There is no message of hope and no reason to want to go back. Please bring Carlos back and the message of hope he was spreading. read more

Pastor Omar is teaching salvation through works. On April 6, 2025, Pastor Omar taught a sermon titled "The Last Judge Part 3: How to Hear God's Call". In this sermon he discussed being a bondservant and the old testament law for bondservants. He proceeded to preach about how we are bondservants of the Lord by seeking to accomplish the Lord's will and not our will. He mentioned seeking the Lord's will in single life, sexual life, marriage, work integrity, conflict, forgiveness and money. When he discussed money between minutes 32:00 - 34:00, he stated that we are to honor the Lord with our tithing (tithing means 10% of our earnings) and that full tithing is being a servant of the Lord, because His will called us to do that. Most importantly, Pastor Omar stated that Jesus Christ being our Lord and Savior, is something that is inseparable, therefore Jesus Christ cannot be our Savior if he isn't our Lord, emphasizing that He can only be our Lord if we seek to accomplish His will. In summary, Pastor Omar is preaching that if we don't tithe (give 10%), we are not seeking the Lord's will, meaning that Jesus Christ is not our Lord, therefore not being our Savior (Because he stated that both are inseparable). How is this biblical? As of late, Pastor Omar has been preaching on old testament verses to convince the congregation that full obedience in giving is the tithing of 10%, when in fact, the tithing applied only to the Israelites. The only statement that campus pastors at CF make in regards to that and the new covenant, is that Jesus "affirmed" the tithing, but Jesus only mentioned the tithing to the the Pharisees in Matthew 23:23, because the Jews (nonbelievers) were tithing and he mentioned how their tithing was meaningless. If Jesus wanted us to tithe and give 10%, He would have given us specific instructions as He did on other topics during the sermon on the mount. Under the new covenant, this is what Paul wrote: 2 Corinthians 9:6-9 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: "They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever." We are not against giving to the Church, because we know that CF uses the funds to expand the kingdom of God and to help those in need, but to preach full obedience of 10% and connect salvation to giving 10% is awful. Christ Fellowship often refers to teachings of Martin Luther, when it is convenient, but never mentions how Martin Luther did not agree with tithing and how he viewed the tithing as a civil tax, rather than an obligation. For reference, Also, Christ Fellowship mentions how Abraham also gave 10%, yes he did, but he did it because he chose to do it under no obligation. This is very discouraging as I've been coming to Christ Fellowship for many years and as of late, more and more CF sermons are mentioning tithing as full obedience and what's worse, Pastor Omar made a connection between full obedience and Jesus being our savior, which means WORKS. My family, my extended family, recent invites and others I've spoken to will be leaving Christ Fellowship. We are deep in our word and the teachings of "Lordship Salvation" do not align with the biblical teachings of God's grace through what Jesus Christ did on the cross and our faith entirely in Him, His death, His blood, His resurrection and our repentance and carrying of our cross to follow Him. We will pray for Christ Fellowship and we hope to return one day, when the teachings align completely with the word of God. read more

Amazing church all around, I've been coming to this churchwomen my wife now for about a year, and we truly enjoy it. The 1st things that caught my attention about this church was how easily my younger brother, who's 14 now was able to connect. He looks forward to Youth service on Friday nights and makes sure to do his best to find a ride when I can't take him. We enjoy the atmosphere, the people, how welcoming everyone is and most importantly, their focus around Jesus and the change HE makes in people's lives. They're a great communicate focused church who provide a numerous amount of services to those within and outside of the church, they look for ways to serve and have a heart for Christ, and it shows all around. From the beginning of service with worship, to the message that Pastor Rick, and other Pastors give, it's a a great experience to call this place our church. So we go to church and we're there for about an hour, my son wants his milk, I feed him his milk, he starts laughing, boom, next thing know, some lady ask us to leave because my son apparently is laughing to much. Like dude, he's 4 1/2 month old.... Want me to put a sock in his mouth or something? Anyways..... I left and won't be going back to Christ fellowship EVER! This is the best church ever. Dynamic pastors, great small groups, awesome service opportunities and wonderful fellowship. If we miss a week and have not informed our small group someone will be calling us. Specialty groups are available like Deaf Group, which welcomes any ASL users including ASL students. Celebrate Recovery for those who have issues to deal with. Middle School and High School groups and many more. Youth meet Friday evening for worship and small groups as well as fun activities. Worship is Saturday at 6pm and Sundays at 9am, 10:45am and 12:30pm. Palmetto Bay not convenient! We have other campuses as well for you to worship. For the kids from babies through 5th grade they have classes in a secure area. You cannot enter without a badge and must have the badge to pick your child up. They are taught at their age level. For those with infants less than 3 months there is a baby room at the back of the worship center where you can sit with your baby and still enjoy the service and know your infant will not be distracting others. Best campus. Traffic maybe difficult at times but the services are fire and people are very warm and welcoming. Not all campuses are as friendly as this one. Parking can be difficult if you run late so you want to make sure you get there somewhat early- 30 minutes or so is good. They give out fee coffee which is a nice bonus too. read more

Best church in Miami, hands down! Just this past Sunday they had hotdogs, chips and drinks for everyone. The sermons are fantastic! There's always a new speaker. There is child care available, Sunday school for kids, a youth program, college group, singles group, married groups... basically groups for all ages! There are so many services to choose from... 9:00am, 10:30am and 12:30pm on Sundays. They also have Saturday night service at 5:30pm and 7:00pm. They have locations all across south Florida. There is ALWAYS something fun happening at Christ Fellowship whether it's a neat event, reaching out to serve others or even on campus during the service. read more

This church does a terrible job supporting its senior citizen members who have kept it financially alive for decades. When they most need help, they get little to nothing. Pastor Rick in particular, apparently can't be bothered to visit a dying member in the hospital as other pastors/ministers/priests would. A phone call to castigate already traumatized family members he's never met for not keeping him informed is very, very bad form, when he could find out so easily himself with a personal visit to minister to the sick church member. The pastor that previously ran this church would never have acted so badly; over 20 years ago, that pastor even flew halfway across the country to visit with and minister to this member when he was hospitalized in Dallas after serious surgery. At least that pastor practiced what he preached. The current church is not what I would call a church at all. All they seem to care about is more donations, more buildings, more attendees, with lots of "bling" to keep more of them coming. When push comes to shove and some of their members, like senior citizens with declining abilities, really need the help of the masses of volunteers this church could muster with very little effort if they tried, they mostly ignore them. I strongly resent the callous way my parents have been abandoned by a place they supported so enthusiastically for almost 40 years. Churches elsewhere have ministries set up precisely to help care for the needs of their senior members, with transportation to/from anywhere they need to go at any time, regular home visits and phone calls by volunteers organized by the church, and regular activities scheduled on multiple days each week designed especially for them. This church provides none of that, and worse, doesn't seem to care. What few activities there are for seniors mostly have to be organized by seniors themselves, with only grudging support from the church. This is not what Jesus would do. It's showbiz masquerading as a Christian church. I pity those who are so easily taken in by it. read more
