Many of the people I spoke to were really upset that we had to wait that long. Also in the event followers were talking about all the superficial materialistic gifts God gave them (Apple Watch, MacBook, car, $30k). Also we watched a video of the pastor driving a Ferrari. I was respectful and participated in ways I felt comfortable. Anyways when I refused to go to the front to get blessed, 3 of the churchgoers were forcing me to go up. Stating I will be going to hell if I died today. Very strange and gave me cult vibes. A lot of us just went for a turkey that we signed up for and did not even get that after sitting there for hours. In summary, I am a religious person and did not agree with their teachings. And I did not appreciate making us wait almost 6 hours for a $25 voucher. Their intention should have been clear.

I just came across the Facebook feed post that Westboro Baptist was going to be at our church the next day. It was nice to see all the people dressed as angels to stand next to the five protestors. The best part was when I saw one of our preachers come out and welcome them inside our church. It is a beautiful church and is handicapped accessible. I enjoy the 9:30 service, it's the contemporary one.
