During the early worship the music sounds amazing because the church band uses the theater's sound system. I really enjoy that the sermons are easy for me to understand and always supported by scripture. You will leave with so much joy in your heart. Highly recommended! They are located at the Performing Arts Theater in Downtown Covina. They rent the theater for their church services every Sunday morning.

She had 2 sons and a daughter on the way named Victoria due 4 days before my Serenity. I'm feeling good. Can't wait to experience my first day here as I sit here listening to this real pastor speak. Come check it it. I'll be here for the next 40 days as we get into "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. I already read this book 3 times but it's always great to reflect and take each day at a time studying daily chapters and seeing how the journey has changed and growing. Thank you God. God is good...all the time.

Over the past year and a half, I had multiple painful…read moresurgeries, including two for cancer. I did not appreciate how senior leadership made people feel guilty for "isolation." This happened right before summer when families are on vacation. Surgeries, as well as other health problems, are completely out of their hands. And while it hurt to be away from church, I watched online, and eventually came back to in-person, as well as attended Bible study. Unfortunately, the church was given a guilt trip regarding " isolation" and attendance during a Saturday night service. This was done at the top of a teaching, by the leadership, and was very manipulative, directed toward the broken. Almost like an "open rebuke", but without mentioning a specific name. My family had been there for 11 years and were mortified. We always viewed him as family and loved him dearly. I'm relieved that the Lord immediately found another church home. One and all is devoid of the love and grace that it once had. I always felt so safe there. If you are healthy, and all is well, this is the church for you, but if you're in a season of true suffering, and need meaningful pastoral care, I would look elsewhere, especially if you can't fill a seat for them and serve. Otherwise, you might be seen as a burden to their corporate business structures.

They either don't see or don't care that he continues to manipulate and abuse (like this). To be clear, I pay to send my kids to a Baptist school and I would have never kept my ex from being there to see our kids get baptized. He would & enjoyed telling me about it after the fact! He literally gets off on the argument & getting one over on me. It is hard to put into words when you are being gaslit and attacked for years. There is nothing I could ever do right & he used scripture to tell me to "submit my body" to him whenever he wanted or needed. I believe the leaders of this church have "machismo" issues and it is handed down to the men in their congregation. Pastor Tony married us, did not give marriage counseling when asked and now continues to support the abuser by allowing him to do whatever he wants, when he wants.
