There is a drop off line, so parents don't have to get out of the car to drop their kid off at school, which makes drop off super easy. There's a small playground outside that kids play on during the last 30 minutes of class. The co-op aspect is very manageable. Parents volunteer in the classroom about 5 times per year and are assigned one job. The jobs vary but they are not time consuming. For example, the laundry parent would wash a small load of towels once per week and hand them to the teachers in the drop off line. If I could give it 10 stars, I would!!

On our second day, our child sustained injuries (by a teacher) during a transition to outdoor play. According to the incident report and findings posted on Michigan's Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) website, a staff member lifted our child by one arm, resulting in a dislocated elbow. When the child fell, they were dragged by the ankle toward the door. This incident was formally documented and substantiated by state regulators. We also encountered issues with transparency and communication. Despite available space in the GSRP program, our application was ignored without explanation. At the same time, the center was actively promoting the program on social media and encouraging others to apply. Classroom ratios were another major concern. In the Infant 2 room, we personally observed up to seven children assigned to one teacher--well above the state-mandated 4:1 ratio. Although this was reported to the state, and temporarily addressed, the issue returned within weeks. We received multiple calls stating our child had a fever as high as 104°F. However, upon immediate arrival, we often found our child active and well. After bringing our own thermometer, we rarely confirmed a fever. This raised concerns about whether these calls were being used to reduce classroom numbers during staffing shortages. We also observed a pattern of retaliation after raising concerns. For example, our child received a write-up for questionable reasons. We witnessed management speaking harshly to both children and staff, at times causing staff members to become visibly upset. In one instance, our child was threatened by another student with violent language. Despite the center's stated zero-tolerance policy, the response was dismissive. We were left feeling that disciplinary standards were not applied consistently. Adding to our concern, we noticed that at least three of the five-star reviews on Google appear to have been written by current or former staff members. This raises questions about the accuracy of the center's overall rating and public image. We stayed longer than we should have, largely because of several wonderful teachers who truly cared about the children. Sadly, even those educators have begun to leave. The center does have potential, but meaningful change is needed--both at the local management level and within district leadership. We would like to return in the future, but only if that change occurs.

My son entered college with 22 college credits due to the advancement placement tests that he had taken. From a parent's perspective, the school is flexible and very understanding of unplanned events or oversights caused by being a busy, working parent. The pastors and teachers were all so kind, caring, and had a passion for helping people and students. Going here helped prepare me for high school, college and beyond and I still have such fond memories here. Many of my lifelong friends have been built through this school so I'm forever grateful. I would suggest anyone interested in a high quality Christian education check out Guardian. Understandably, their price point is high, but an education like this is truly an investment in your children's future.
