Please make sure to thoroughly research this place before sending your child here. We enrolled our children at this center with high hopes, but our experience was deeply concerning and ultimately disappointing. On our second day, our child sustained injuries (by a teacher) during a transition to outdoor play. According to the incident report and findings posted on Michigan's Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) website, a staff member lifted our child by one arm, resulting in a dislocated elbow. When the child fell, they were dragged by the ankle toward the door. This incident was formally documented and substantiated by state regulators. We also encountered issues with transparency and communication. Despite available space in the GSRP program, our application was ignored without explanation. At the same time, the center was actively promoting the program on social media and encouraging others to apply. Classroom ratios were another major concern. In the Infant 2 room, we personally observed up to seven children assigned to one teacher--well above the state-mandated 4:1 ratio. Although this was reported to the state, and temporarily addressed, the issue returned within weeks. We received multiple calls stating our child had a fever as high as 104°F. However, upon immediate arrival, we often found our child active and well. After bringing our own thermometer, we rarely confirmed a fever. This raised concerns about whether these calls were being used to reduce classroom numbers during staffing shortages. We also observed a pattern of retaliation after raising concerns. For example, our child received a write-up for questionable reasons. We witnessed management speaking harshly to both children and staff, at times causing staff members to become visibly upset. In one instance, our child was threatened by another student with violent language. Despite the center's stated zero-tolerance policy, the response was dismissive. We were left feeling that disciplinary standards were not applied consistently. Adding to our concern, we noticed that at least three of the five-star reviews on Google appear to have been written by current or former staff members. This raises questions about the accuracy of the center's overall rating and public image. We stayed longer than we should have, largely because of several wonderful teachers who truly cared about the children. Sadly, even those educators have begun to leave. The center does have potential, but meaningful change is needed--both at the local management level and within district leadership. We would like to return in the future, but only if that change occurs. read more

Great center! My 2 year old son has been going there since September and loves it! I love how they have a video streaming app that you can use to check in on your kid(s) to see what they're doing in class! read more

This place is amazing. My wife and I checked out 4 different childcare centers in the area and as soon as we walked in, we knew this was the one. It's clean, the staff is extremely friendly and they have an app system in place that is updated any time your child eats, sleeps, does activities and is changed. They have cameras everywhere and you can check in on your child via live feed at anytime during the day. All of the teachers/workers take care of my kid as if she's their own. I don't know what i'd do without this place. read more

I was at hess hathaway park with my kids and Tutor Time's summer camp was also there for a field trip. I could not believe how the teacher was talking and yelling at the kids. I understand kids are kids, but this teacher was just flat out being mean, talking rude, yelling at the kids and just being plain obnoxious to them. As a parent, I was glad she wasn't in charge of my kids. My 9yr old daughter even came over to me and mentioned how mean that teacher was being. One little girl was crying, another kid came to tell the teacher the girl was crying....the teacher replied "oh well!" Unbelievable!!!! If your kids go to Tutor Time, I'd have a serious discussion with them about this summer camp program and listen to what they're saying....they might not be exaggerating on how they get treated!! read more

I went to Tutor Time as a child, and am now 20 years old. Now I understand that the staff has most likely changed but from what I have heard recently and the reviews I have read it sounds like little has changed. When I was here for day-care I was borderline traumatized. The staff was consistently very rude to me, and even banned me from seeing my older brother, who was also enrolled for day-care. I remember being upset one day, asking if I could go say hello to my brother and give him a hug to feel better, but rather than complying, the staff basically made fun of me for being "reliant" on my brother and refused to let me see him. From what I remember the facility was extremely dirty, and the woman who ran the day-care always seemed to talk about inappropriate things, such as past relationships. The children basically played computer games all day, and were allowed no outside time. The director cared little for the well-being of the children. I am now 20 years old and I advise parents from sending your children here. read more

When my son started here A women named Jenn was the director. Everything was great. The school was clean the staff was great. Now the is director Keri with a women named Melissa. Keri openly speaks about her divorce, boyfriend, and ex husband in front of the children and parents. My son has been sent home with injuries with no explanation unless I ask. My sons sandwich from his lunch was taken from him for 3 weeks. They finally came to me and stated he was not aloud to bring peanut butter. I let them know that it was soy butter as they requested when we enrolled. They had no explanation as to why they never called. My son had an accident at school. Instead of calling to let me know he was out of clothes in his cubby and to bring some. They put him in shorts that were so big if he did not hold them up they fell to the ground. My sons bottom half was exposed from 1pm to 5:30pm like this. The bathrooms are dirty. Trash cans over flowing with toilet paper and sanitary napkins. Most of the staff here have terrible hygein. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for child care. A couple other parents and myself are seeking something else and have taken steps in reporting this school. read more
