Im so dissapointed in Christian Farms Nursery. Over the summer we did alot of landscaping at our new home. We spent a good chunk of money on landscaping rocks, dirt, trees, bushes and compost. When we purchased our plants we were told if you purchase root stimulator and compost we will refund you if you plants die. Of course when we checked out and bought these two items no one specified what plants were NOT included in this warranty. Well wouldn't you know it the one type of bush we purchased was not part of the warranty!!! Refused to refund me or evevn give me a store credit. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE!!!! read more

I had an issue with a cone flower and was told by the owner, a woman, that I needed to dig it out and throw it away because it had a disease that was not curable. After doing a huge amount of reading and talking to many different people, I found contradictory information that it could actually be a mite instead of Asters yellow, and I confirmed it with three different plant experts. I thought she might want to know this before telling other people to throw them away, especially if it is something you have had a long time and it is sentimental to you. I called her back to tell her about the mites, and she told me the mites were the same thing as thrips, that cause Aster yellow. But it is not even a thrip that causes Aster yellow. It is a leafhopper. And mites are very treatable. She claimed to be such an expert on the matter and told me maybe she should get all of her advice from me from now on. She was extremely rude and kept interrupting me when I was just trying to explain it to her. I guess she thinks she knows it all and is not even open to the possibility that she could be wrong. I will never spend another dollar there, and I have spent a lot. And I will be sure to let all of my family and friends know too. She asked if that was all I had to say and then the phone went silent. I called back and asked for the owner. I was asked why I wanted to speak to the owner. She then did get on the phone and said she did not hang up on me, but it was obvious that she did. She also told me she regretted all of the time she had wasted talking to me about this. read more

I would agree with their lack of inventory knowledge. We ran I to the same scenereo. And they were a bunch of boneheads when it came to their knowledge about their own warranty. We wound up speaking with the manager who was extremely rude, and finally the manager in regards to the rude manager and she was a complete priss and was overly rude. Honey there are dozens of other places within an hour of here I will give my landscaping business to this year. read more

We had Christen Farm landscapers do all of the landscape around our new home including plantings, brick sidewalk, stairs and 3 retaining walls. Looked beautiful, at first. I noticed after the first rain that they had not directed the water from the downspout under the new sidewalk so the rain washed out the brand new brick sidewalk. I called Christen's and the lady, owner I believe, said right away it's not their fault. I explained I was asking to get someone to fix the issue asap and I would pay (likely few hundred dollars) to hire them. She would never call back. I just learned, their oversight and refusal to help caused 'hydrostatic pressure' under the downspout. My cost: $10,800 to fix the sidewalk and replace retaining walls. read more

We purchased 4 PJM Rhododendrons. We wanted something hardy for our area and for bugs cause our house is along the river. $50.00 each. That was June 14 2020, we planted all of them in new soil and all within a few feet apart for a beautiful eye catching look. One is dying, called spoke to Katie the secretary sent pictures, Then it gets UGLY...The OWNER got on the phone and told me it was my soil and a disease that only the one got?? I had already spoke to a former boss of mine at a garden center in PA. that said something totally different! I told her that and that's when she got VERY MEAN AND NASTY TO ME!!! She DIDN'T Want TO REPLACE MY SHRUB!! SHE SAID SHE'D DO IT FOR 1/2 PRICE???WHAT ABOUT YOUR GUARANTEE?We DON'T HAVE A YEAR GUARANTEE??? LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT, WE GIVE 2 YEAR?? I bought a used golf cart from Greg in late July. A few days ago something started rubbing the rim inside the lower left front wheel. I took it down Saturday morning. Greg looked at it on the trailer and knew exactly what it was. He said he could fix it in 20 minutes. He replaced the worn out left front bushing as well as the right front and didn't charge anything, even though it was past the end of the 30 day warranty. Good variety, but definitely need to work on knowledge of inventory and customer service. Called last week looking for a particular shrub (I need more for my landscape project). They said they didn't have any and to 'call back next week'. I called back this am, spoke to the same person as last week (Katie), who told me that they had them in stock. I drove straight there, and it took me 10 mins. to get there. Lo and behold, no Fine Line Buckthorns. I stead of a simple apology for being wrong and wasting my time, I got a lame excuse about how the landscapers must have taken what they had in stock (in the last 10 mins??). Also pretty pricey compared to others in this area. read more
