I don't understand all the bad reviews. I shop here weekly, I get most of my clothes for $1,as I shop the sale colored tags. Its well organized, clean and the people are friendly. Yes the furniture can be pricey, but still a lot cheaper than new and better brands will be higher. I am an avid thrifter, so I know how to shop and compare. read more

We'll, I'm going to buck the trend of negative reviews, being as I had a very good experience at this store. I needed a toaster oven. It was for a "project" and I didn't want to invest a lot of money in one. Being from out of town and while sitting in the car waiting on my wife as she shopped a couple of the local shops, I called a couple of the local thrift stores and inquired as to if they had any toaster ovens. The only one in Enterprise, AL, that had one was the Christian Mission Store, and the nice lady said they had several. So, on the way out of town we stopped by the store. They indeed probably had a half dozen or so of the ovens sitting on the shelf. I chose a digital one and it has worked out great for me!!! Digitals seem to hold a more precise and consistent temperature than analog ovens do. Anyhow, the people at the store (and on the phone!) were very courteous and helpful!!! They had lots of merchandise and the place was clean (unlike some other thrift stores that I've been in). If you're looking for a specific item and don't want to spend a lot for "new" give the Christian Mission Store in Enterprise a call, or better yet...drop by and browse the shelves!!! :) read more

This is a supposedly a " Christian " store. There to help is their mission ? I would like to know what percentage of profit goes to who and what services. Is it a for profit store getting a tax break by saying it's Christian ? I've also seen some shady characters following me as I tried to shop. The prices are ridiculously high the furniture even more so ( plus a hefty delivery charge ! ) Being Christian should work both ways - fair price for those of us trying to stretch our Soc.Sec. and families who can't afford the mall prices for their kids. I get a feeling of greed on the owners part looking at the price tags here. Great selection of everything but I've seen items priced MORE than a sale price on Walmart clothing- used at that. You don't leave with any kind of good feelings. Just vague feeling of maybe I shouldn't have gotten my items was it worth it ? And that leaves a sour taste in my mouth. So show me where and on what the profits go to and maybe I wouldn't feel so bad leaving the store feeling if it really did help the community- not just give the owners a tax break and line their pockets from overpriced used merchandise donated to them. read more

Zero stars. My husband and i were browsing, holding a few plates. A very rough looking older couple started following us. Looking over our shoulders. My husband turned around and the man snatched one of the plates we were carrying and yelled at us he just wanted to look at it. Don't feel safe there. Never going back. read more

I arrived in enterprise for flight school and was looking to buy a couch. I found a couch in the store that was just missing a piece. I was told by Randy that they usually get the other pieces later. I asked if he would call me and he said he wouldn't and that I would have to continuously call to just happen upon the other piece. I called multiple times until he told me that he would call. It's been 6 months and he has not called. I don't believe he was being 100% honest with me when he said they got other pieces. My wife and I have also had other bad experiences in the store I definitely would not recommend this store. I would actually give this place 0 stars if I could. It's bad enough to where I took the time to write a review for the first time to ensure no one else is swindled like I was. read more

The prices are high but look to be coming down a little. Avoid the place at lunch time since the "help" likes to hang out behind the receiving area and smoke cigarettes. Between the black lung risk of second hand smoke and the women in large SUVS with their initials monogrammed in the rear window driving while posting to Facebook running you down to get a nice handicapped spot at Annie's Cafe, the risks of shopping are high. At least the chiming of the bells at FBC remind you that God is watching and dropping an F-Bomb in front of charitable counseling service that pulls the heroin needles out of the arms of junkies and replaces them with mops and some semblance of a work ethic is not appropriate or even welcome. We got a great price on a piano and the deliver guys were nice. The little bald Latin man in the electronics area always asks to help you. It would be nice is somebody could distract the older man who looks like Burl Ives in a biker gang and lower the prices on some of the furniture and bicycles. On the plus side the store is much more organized than in the past but I have this sneaking suspicion that some of the items donated to the store don't make it to the floor.
