No interest in my health. Teddeo actually hurt my health…read more Dr. Matilda Teddeo actually took actions to intentionally damage my cardiovascular system. After I forwarded a lipid (cholesterol) blood test requested by my primary doctor to Dr. Taddeo so she could adjust my statin prescription, she refused to increase the strength of my statin, nor reduce its strength based on the blood work unless I came into her Bronxville, NY office in person so she would receive her fee for my office visit. I had already provided her full fees for 3 prior office visits during the year 2025 with my most recent visit on Sept 2025. In October 2025 she received my lipid blood work but refused to discuss my lipid dose requirement with me by phone and then voided my lipid prescription and several months of prescription renewals from the Fleetwood Pharmacy. Her actions may have put my life in danger since I had to scramble to find an alternate doctor to provide me with my statin and for some time I had no statins to take. I am age 71 and the statin prescription helps me fight the following illnesses: high cholesterol, two leaky heart valves, one coronary heart artery partial blockage and partial blockages in both my carotid arteries. We decided to do a very expensive chelating test that included collecting urine for 24 hrs. While I was doing the collection I had a question because I didn't have one of the components listed on the directions. I called her office to ask for clarification. I explained the directions called for something I didn't have and without missing a beat, she said, "I don't have time to talk to you." and hung up. She never called back, never followed up, never apologized for her gruffness and I wasted money I didn't have to waste. She clearly demonstrated her lack of respect, competence, consideration, and professionalism in the process. I sought out Dr. Egginton due to having a severe gut health problem. She conducted an intake which I paid her for, and then recommended a diagnostic test as the next step in treatment that she would order and which would be mailed to me. Dr. Egginton also instructed me to immediately stop taking the herbal supplements that I was using to partially alleviate my gut symptoms. She stated that she wanted my gut clear for both the diagnostic test and for the treatment she was going to begin after my test results came back. Stopping the herbal supplements made me extremely uncomfortable but I followed her instructions and had asked her to order the test immediately. She had permission to use my credit card on file to pay for any associated testing fees. 3 weeks later Dr. Egginton had still not ordered my test! And she failed to follow through with ordering it despite me both emailing her to remind her about it and despite me speaking with her office assistant about the issue! Absolutely incompetent, inconsiderate, and unbelievable! I threatened to report her to CT Department of Public Health's Practitioner Investigation Unit and she promptly returned my money.
