So how should I start this review? First I have to say this is not what this place use to be. I'm referring to the "enchanted place with the big guy with the red hat." Pro of this place I would say would be the decoration of the place. Now some might not like it because it does not remind you of what it use to be like when you were growing up. But for me I actually like the new decoration. My adult mind sees it better then my child mind when I use to frequent here every year when I was younger. I would even say the selection of the food was surprisingly good. But I would say that's probably where it stops there. Cons of this place is definitely the prices for everything. I mean how does 3 small tacos (and I do mean Small), 1 quesadilla, and one Kebob cost $60. And like some have said they don't even list prices for the items you order. Its like if you want it you got to hope you can afford it at the end. Also the quality of the food isn't even that great. The Funnel Cake we had was just too greasy; the powder sugar couldn't even help. I did bump up an extra star because I would say my kids did enjoy themselves. My oldest son really had fun getting on all the rides he can go on. But because I'm an adult now and see things as an adult these prices are out of hand now. read more

As a mom blogger, I of course have to try out any family-friendly activities in Miami. It took me a bit to get myself to try out Christmas Wonderland as its predecessor Santa's Enchanted Forrest was not the nicest place to be. But I heard lots of great things about the new Christmas Wonderland so I took my son on New Year's Eve. Decorations: Only in Dade has a fun Miami & Christmas themed display at the entrance of the park. These are cute photo ops such as the elves at an airboat ride in the Everglades or flamingos working at "La factoria" in Hialeah. Rides: most of the rides are included in the cover charge but most of them have height restrictions. Thankfully, my son just made the 42" mark allowing him to ride most of the rides. Food: besides the typical fattening fair food, there is a whole food truck area with tables. There's even a Chic-Fil-A food truck. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering a pizza by entrance that was terrible and the staff was rude. Extras: there's a globe that shows a short 3D movie. All in all, this is a fair. So as long as you don't expect anything fancy, you will have fun read more

Very much like Santa's Enchanted, the only difference is that it lacked more lights. We got there around 7pm and the traffic was horrible, and the parking was far from the entrance. Good thing they have a free shuttle in the parking lot that goes around scooping people up and taking closer to the entrance. Also saw a city bus that drops people off at the entrance. Saw many selfie stations, workshops for the kiddos and rides towards the back. Highly recommend if you have kiddos. Only downfall, the entrance is very disorganized and moved very slow due to back pack/purse checks, so come packing patience. FYI. They have a 3D Christmas dome which should have a disclaimer that states you could experience dizziness or motion sickness from viewing. read more

Ok time, heads up take the QR code to buy tickets in case line is long, fir us there wasn't a line. I could have avoided $8.70 convenience charge if I had kept walking past the QR code, they got me. Add $2.73 sales tax on adult tickets. Children pay $10 less. Eat before you go food is very expensive. Realistically I don't think profit is much, the light show is awesome and there are plenty of police stationed near, of course that is expensive also. So $50 probably is cheap considering, maybe I should have done five stars. read more

What a cute little spot for a night of family fun! The price was very economical compared to similar events in the area which is a plus when you want bring the entire family out. We got there early and was able to enjoy the unlimited rides. The food there was a bit pricey but I understand that everything is pricey these days... Had loads of fun. Beautiful decorations, a nice change from what we are used to seeing at the traditional older event. Pleasant atmosphere for all ages of the family from toddlers to the elderly. I'll definitely be back next year for some more Christmas time fun! read more

I went on opening night and here is the full scoop on this place. This review is from someone who had been going to Santas at the Tropical Park location since she was seven, just keep this standard in mind. First, the traffic. Horrible, but expected. But it was honestly excessive. Bird Road was completely packed with cars, even at 9 when we showed up to this place. We ended up walking a mile and a half from where we parked our car to be able to get to the park and avoid the vehicular traffic. When you first walk in to the gates, there are people scanning your ticket but right before you get into separate queues, it is just a giant sea of people trying to squeeze into one entrance. It is SO unorganized. And not to mention the entrance was highly underwhelming. The crowds at this place was ridiculous but again, expected. This place is so much smaller than you think. Its smaller than the fair and definitely smaller than santas. They have about 20 rides, if that, and that is counting the kiddie ones. They have a LOT of vendors. The ticket is already expensive, and they prioritized the vendors rather than more decor, lights and experiences, to take more of your money. The food is extremely expensive. A candy apple: 10, a milkshake: 15, a decent sandwich or hotdog: 18. The decor in this place is all shiny and new, but in my opinion looked a little rushed. They put up backdrops for photo ops that sometimes didnt even make sense. And once you leave the entrance photo op area, christmas completely disappears and youre just in the fair again. One last thing to mention is the queue for the lines. They are too small so they project onto the common walking spaces. you constantly have to be dodging people passing by or people waiting in line to ride a ride. The space is soooooo crammed. Im surprised we even found a table to stop and eat some food at. All in all, the experience was just OK. It was somewhere that I dont think i would go back. Good try but put some lights on the trees, have the acts do later shows for the night crowd, make the food cheaper, have more lounging areas to sit after walking the whole park. As a visitor traveling from another city--specifically from the Orlando area--the first impression upon arriving at Miami Wonderland Christmas was deeply disappointing. Living surrounded by theme parks like Disney, we are used to an environment of organization, magic, joy, genuine smiles, and above all, kind and respectful treatment toward families. That comparison becomes unavoidable from the very first moment. To board the train that supposedly transports visitors to the fair, we encountered a complete lack of organization: a chaotic scene with pushing and people trying to get on without any line or control. This was an experience we honestly did not expect to find here. Once we finally arrived at the fair, the situation did not improve. At nearly every ride, we encountered rude employees with dismissive attitudes toward visitors, as if our presence were an inconvenience, completely ignoring the basic principle that customers deserve respect--especially after paying an excessively high entrance fee. As paying guests, we expected respectful and dignified treatment consistent with the price of admission. The most unpleasant moment occurred when one of the workers prevented my 10-year-old daughter from getting on a ride, claiming she did not meet the height requirement, even though the posted sign clearly stated that children could ride when accompanied by an adult, and I was entering with her. His refusal, tone, and manner led to an inevitable argument and left us feeling extremely uncomfortable, including feelings of discrimination. I will be posting photos so other parents can be cautious, as this individual's behavior was completely inappropriate for someone working with children. I also hope the event organizers--who are responsible for hiring staff--take appropriate action. The food experience was also disappointing. Although food is available throughout the fair, for example, the cotton candy--something my daughter loves--costs $10 and comes in an inflated package that appears large, but once opened, it turns out to be a very small amount for that price. It is definitely better to bring your own food. Leaving the event was another disaster. The train was no longer operating, and we were forced to walk the entire distance from the park exit to the parking area after an already exhausting day. In summary, this was a sad and frustrating experience, especially for an event that is supposed to create joy and family memories--not frustration and disappointment. How did those lyrics go again? "Walking in a Christmas (Winter) Wonderland!" Or something along those lines haha. I was eager to see what Christmas Wonderland was like in contrast to Santa's. And I will say the two are stingingly similar! You pay a flat rate to gain entrance and included in that flat rate is unlimited rides. This could be a steal if you're a thrill seeker, but if you're like me and go for food/drinks and for pictures then this could be a little more on the expensive side. Nonetheless I loved that the venue offered free transportation to and from parking to the venue. I also loved that it was super Christmas oriented and had a bunch of different photo ops with lighting! Definitely can plan to get cute and snag an IG worthy holiday photo. I also loved the faux snow. You can only imagine how excited us Miami natives got to have anything that even remotely emulates snow near. LOVED how they had a bar that served cocktails (though limited). I was particularly fond of the fact that the cocktails matched the Christmas theme (I.e. Coquito, Merry Margarita). I also loved the different thrill shows they had set up around the park! Super cool concept! There were a couple of things I feel would've helped in making the experience a 5 star one. One, better organization/structure with parking. There were people to guide us but I was super puzzled about some people gained closer access to certain spots over others. Also there were not really any signs for shuttles/buses though there were workers in proximity who could point you in the right direction. Also the layout of the park could've been more cohesive. Instead of having the photo ops congested into one spot in the front it would've been nice if they were more dispersed that way you wouldn't need to go to the rear of the park just to get to the rides/real food. I also would've liked if there were more of a variety of vendors or something that made this experience unique versus feeling like a Santa's Jr. I would think with a different name would come the same concept, but different execution. Maybe some jewelry/clothes vendors, live music performances, etc. All in all though I had an overall good experience and would recommend it to anyone needing a little "Christmas kick". read more

Christmas Wonderland? more like Christmas Shitland. This place absolutely sucks, tickets were overpriced and my friend was charged TWICE for three tickets. Barely any good rides and most of them weren't even suited for little children. The food was overpriced charging me 18$ for two small cups the size of my palm of off brand dip n dots And 22$ for a salty turkey leg. The parking staff was even worse because, one, they couldn't speak english even in the U.S. and gave an attitude when we asked for a wheelchair. No handicap service and the place was very small. Can't compare this place to Santa's Enchanted Forrest. The only thing that Christmas Wonderland is superior to Santa's is in the decorations and that's about it. But in literally EVERYTHING else ? Your ticket is only a one time visit which is MORE than the cost of what I paid for the season pass in Santa's for each family member! I came into this place, as a young teenager who just wanted to have fun and be with her family, I had kind of high hopes and expectations for this. I had come last year and enjoyed my time but this year was absolutely ridiculous, ridiculous enough for me to write a yelp review. Firstly I wanna say that adding miami themes to a Christmas themed park is not the way at all. I enjoyed it more when it stayed to the traditional Christmas spirit and decoration, it gave it more life and felt more genuine. Secondly, I had went to go buy a kabob with my boyfriend and before we can ask about the prices (because the prices are NOT shown anywhere) they put them onto the grill to forcibly make you pay since they already started cooking. In my head, I was okay with this at first because I didn't expect it to come out as much but the price for 2 kabobs with 3 pieces of churrasco was 40!!! BUCKS!! 40 bucks for a chewy, burnt piece of churrasco is absolutely absurd and no place should even accept this. I hope this place finds a middle ground and gets itself up again but the prices for food and for the small selection of rides and no Christmas spirit, it feels like a total waste of a theme park. Terrible administration, they closed the park because there were a lot of free tickets. My family came at 6pm I came at 8. My family was inside, I was outside. They told me that even if I bought my ticket, I could come another day, and my family would have to buy another 5 tickets to be with me, which they wouldn't. Now, what is the point of going another day if I didn't share the day with my family? A lot of children were crying; they said the firefighters told them to close the park. Which is clearly a lie. If you don't want to have a terrible experience, I recommend you not come to this park. I usually don't rate this badly, but after seeing all those children crying and me being outside while my family is inside, it deserves not 1/5 star but 0/5. I took my 11 years old Granddaughter on Sunday and we had an amazing time! Everything looked beautiful and well decorated. Incredible variety of food choices. The selection of rides were incredible and the staff on the rides were fantastic at making sure everyone was safe. Bathrooms were very clean! Free parking that was a plus! read more

Wonderful experience! Loved all the lights and photo ops. The workers were all kind and welcoming. Love the idea of no tickets and being able to ride unlimited. My daughter had a blast! We took family photos with Santa as well. I removed a star because of the parking situation is utter chaos ran by kids. I also wanted to mention the food prices were out of this world. $20 for one kabob is just insanity. Overall, id go again but just have dinner before arriving we could have gone to a high end restaurant with the amount we spent on food all together.
