He took over an hour explaining every detail of the Periacetabular Osteotomy (PAO) (fellowship trained with Dr. Tim Schrader, Atlanta) surgery. Dr. Faust offered several options in his expert opinion and was transparent about the pros and cons of surgery. Even though I left his office in tears, I knew could trust Dr. Faust and his team for my bilateral PAOs. I returned to running a quarter marathon, a tough mudder in Europe and a triathlon without hip pain. I am grateful Dr. Faust is able to provide this specialty surgery in Louisiana. I have no regrets. The nurse was unapologetic and uncooperative. Now I am scrambling to find an orthopedist who can see me as soon as possible, so that I can get some relief. I will be sure to advise my primary care physician not to recommend this office. It is poorly run, and an uncaring group. I have tolerated this situation for years, but no longer. Not only were the Nurses and Staff so kind to my sister, but they were very kind to me as well and I appreciated that. My sister gets so very cold the nurses she had that day were great at keeping her wrapped in warm blankets. This may seem like a small thing but sometimes it is just the small things that can help make a procedure go better. The procedure itself only took less than an hour and so we were in and out. I think it took longer in recovery than it did to check in and have it done. In no way am I complaining, I think its great when things work that way. I think the General is laid out very well and the signage makes it easy to follow and get to where you need to be. There is a very nice coffee shop on the lower level, not too far from the waiting rooms.
