I went here as part of a group, and they seem to get a lot of school field trips, but they're well organized, and it's a big place, so even with a ton of kids at the place, you don't feel like you're crowded. They have really great people working here, who are more than happy to answer your questions and explain things to you. I had like, fifteen minutes alone with the candle-maker lady and my son, and she entertained all of his questions and was really cool to talk with. They have a lot of Dayton-related history around NCR, and flight, and nuclear energy, and old automobiles. I bet it's a blast to work there. My favorite part though, was the outdoors area. It's just a really well maintained facility with lots of big old trees, and shade, and you can really just kick back and relax and chill out.

The team members made the event happen with less than a half day's business notice. Wait, it gets more amazing. We show up on Monday am and realize that we should have booked the barn and not the house. Why, because we were now expecting twice the number of people. Debbie, Emily, and the other wonderful lady made that happen instantly. We are so appreciative of their help and support during a difficult time. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for helping make a very difficult thing - saying goodbye to our Mom - just a bit easier.

The instructors are knowledgeable and patient. The beginning class introduces you to the basics of many dances and uses a lot of music you hear on the radio so you can take your new moves out on the town after a few lessons! I've just moved up and now I'm working on refining my skills/moves in the dances of the month. Not only am I becoming a ballroom dancer, but I'm also making friends and memories along the way. I look forward to Monday night lessons and the social dancing afterwards as I'm guaranteed to share some laughter and fun (and a misstep or two) with a fantastic group of people!

The MVHPC, built in 1919, has gone through a huge renaissance the last few years...membership has…read moreskyrocketed...15X what it was just a few years ago. The club's members range from singles, couples/partners, young families, older families, empty nesters to retirees! It's a place for everyone! The Polo Club is something between a neighborhood pool and a country club. It's friendly and welcoming so no snooty attitudes allowed here. The club no longer has staff, it's member driven with volunteer and/or donation efforts throughout the year, in addition to club dues. The MVHPC has so much more to offer than just a pool membership....there are fun things like winter and summer platform tennis leagues, hiking trails, card nights, kids movie nights, pig roasts, derby day party, Christmas dance, karaoke....etc. In 2020, we added pop up parties with live local music on the terrace (BYOB) and it was a huge hit with members. We have been members since 2017 (wish we had joined sooner!)....I don't know what we did before we joined. We love it!
