The line for donuts was long but the folks in the bakery section worked their butts off to keep the line moving. Only issue was we ordered 8 donuts and a few other items ( cookies, fritters) but realized when we got home we only had 3 donuts, huge disappointment because they were the best donuts ever!! Everything else was delicious as well. They have fruits and veggies for sale in the other area of the store, tons of options and amazing prices( cherries $2lb, squash 1.69lb etc) they also have shelves full of different jams,jellies, apple butters, honey etc ! Staff were restocking and cleaning the entire time we were there so the place is clean as well. They were running out of some of the produce, mostly berries, by the time we left but with amazing prices like that it's certainly expected.

Occasional live music and lots of dog walkers also add to the local vibe. The Saturday market it usually busier than the Wednesday market, but some vendors only show on Wednesday and some only on Saturday. Everyone is real friendly and welcome questions.

There is soap with their soda flavors; not sure I'm sold on that. I was pleased that they had several cardboard carriers and you could build your own 4-, 6-, or 12-pack of sodas. I tried one of their flavors at an Asheville restaurant, which is only half an hour a way (this area feels farther out than that). Apparently flavors rotate. I'm not judging every flavor they have, but from what I experienced this was a quality place if you want the occasional sugary indulgence. It seemed they were talking with local fruit suppliers in the factory section while I was there, which speaks to the sort of fresh and local taste you can expect.

They told me about the current flavors and what was coming up next and it was a pretty fast in and out visit today because I was ready to get these cold sodas back to my rental house to have with my lunch. Here are a few things I wish were different. Of course I wish the price was a little lower but this is what you get when you are using all of this fruit and being so particular about your product. It isn't overpriced. I have been drinking these sodas for about 4 years now and I haven't really seen any new flavors in that time. However, it's hard to figure out, bast on the personal service we received. I was with a group of 5 ladies on vacation. One of the ladies was looking SPECIFICALLY for a hot apple turnover. When she got to the counter she was VERY RUDELY informed her they were out. When asked how long it would be for the next batch was made, she was rudely told 'I don't know. We have a to-go order before you. I don't know what they're doing on the other side in the bakery.' My friend even offered to go ask herself. The employee rudely answered 'they're just gonna tell you the same thing over there,' while leaning on the counter with her head in her hand. We all made it thru the line after my friend was forced to order something other than what she wanted (all the way from Florida) only to be rung up by someone wearing a shirt that read 'I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S ASS.' Was not at all a good ordering experience after waiting 25-30 mins in line for something we weren't able to purchase by employees who couldn't care less!
