Since we hired the entire crew for our wedding day (photography, DJ, and videography), I wanted to review each of them and highlight what we loved! First, Katrina and Mark are quite the power couple in photography! They were creative, thoughtful, and detail oriented in their shots. My husband and I are not professional models, and so like most normal people, we can be awkward in front of the camera and don't know how to pose. Katrina was excellent at giving directions to make the pose look good but still feel natural as well as keeping us feeling comfortable and relaxed. Furthermore, my husband and I got married in Baltimore, Maryland so it was a destination wedding and a new location/venue for the team. Katrina and Mark went above and beyond our expectations and the day before our wedding went out and scouted beautiful places to capture photos on our wedding day. This helped things go smoothly the day of and helped put my mind at ease. Secondly, Love Is All You Need's DJ, Jake is the man you want playing at your wedding! Jake has high energy and is able to keep the party going all night long! He can read the room and seamlessly transition songs. In addition, Jake will help you through the wedding planning process. My husband and I felt lost at picking out music for our ceremony and reception, but Jake eased our minds and helped us pick out songs for all of our important moments and provide honest feedback based on his years of DJ experience. This was extremely helpful to have, and we greatly appreciate all of his guidance. Last but not least, Ryan on videography was fantastic! He worked flawlessly with Katrina and Mark, and they communicated openly and efficiently on the shots that they were getting. Their collaborative approach helped ensure that no shot was forgotten. Ryan also takes drone footage for videography and photography, which was so much fun to work with! Overall, the entire team consists of some of the most generous and kind individuals I have ever met. Not only are they all extremely professional, but also personable, which makes working with them an absolute pleasure and an honor. We set up our engagement photoshoot and while the weather was not super cooperative they were quick to come up with ideas to make the most of it. The engagement photos came out amazing. She was my saving grace and kept me calm cool and collective all day and the entire time leading up to the wedding. Yep, I selected her thanks to the yelp reviews and she was amazing as our wedding photographer…read more She was very flexible; prompt; personable and professional; and was very fairly priced for 8 hours. We were indecisive on things (where to shoot in between our ceremony and our reception) and she was patient with us and offered suggestions in the weeks leading up. She even scouted our locations before our wedding so she was familiar with them. We had a small unexpected snafu that altered our schedule by 15-20 minutes and she remained calmed and helped us keep on schedule. Her contract was also very clear. We even asked her to stay an extra hour longer (obviously offered to pay her for it) an extra hour the day of our event and she obliged. The turn-around times were very quick (in our case within 6 weeks!). The online setup to view and share your photos was intuitive and also easy to download all of the photos in a batch format. This isn't a fault of her but more of a tip for y'all: make sure to get plenty of pictures of your friends and family, not just posed pictures of you and your spouse and wedding party and family!

I was looking for someone to restore a favorite photograph taken on my honeymoon over 50 yrs ago, as it had faded badly -- to the point that this color photo appeared almost to be a black-and-white shot, and I could barely recognize the faces of me and my wife. I was not sure that it could be restored. After inspecting the photo, Mark carefully explained what he could -- and could not do -- regarding the desired restoration (the photo in question was itself a print made from the missing original long ago by another studio.) He detailed the process he would use, and the areas he would attempt to restore within the photo. I appreciated this time spent at the initial visit, so that I had realistic expectations when I left that appointment. When I picked-up the photo a short time later (less than 2 weeks), I was very pleased with the results that Mark was able to achieve -- he exceeded my expectations without a doubt! The colors were restored to their original hue, with much improved contrast, and the faded, facial details were present once again -- I could recognize our smiling faces! My wife and I are very pleased to have this restored photo once again on display, and wholeheartedly recommend Mark Madere and SpectraLight Photography for your photo restoration needs.

I truly hate having to leave a negative review, especially when it involves such a personal and…read moremeaningful day -- our wedding. But I feel it's important to share our experience so other couples can go into their planning process informed. We hired Platinum Photography with the expectation -- and contractual agreement -- that we would receive retouched digital images, a custom wooden USB, and a physical 8x10 album. Unfortunately, the process from start to finish was filled with delays, broken promises, and poor communication. What followed was a frustrating string of extended deadlines, vague updates, and inconsistent messaging. The USB was only ordered months after the wedding -- after we followed up repeatedly -- and the album was denied, then later reluctantly agreed to after I pushed back and quoted the actual contract. The editing was also incomplete, with clear inconsistencies in the photos we received, and promises made about corrections (such as under-eye editing) were not fulfilled until pointed out directly. At one point, I was even offered a partial refund on the condition that I remove my review and forfeit the remaining items -- an incredibly unprofessional request. I was also wrongly accused of breaching the contract for making light personal edits to a few photos, despite the contract allowing for personal use (albums, scrapbooks, gifts, etc.). It's not that the photographer was rude or mean -- they were always polite. But it felt like a constant bait-and-switch, with excuse after excuse and very little accountability. As a busy mom of two, I simply didn't have the time or energy to chase down what should have been handled with care and professionalism. After months of back and forth, the album and USB are finally in progress, but I would never recommend this experience to another bride. Your wedding memories deserve more than constant follow-up, shifting stories, and delayed promises. Do your research, get everything in writing, and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself.
