She did not listen to a word I said, left the room, and started laughing at me with the nurses outside. They speculated about my occupation, did not bother to ask me for any information besides who they could refer me back to, and laughed at the idea of a repetitive stress injury being sustained without even knowing what I do or how long I'd been working there. I had followed the directions given by my claims adjuster when i made that appointment, and was treated like an idiot. I sat in the room alone for another hour and a half trying not to cry. Absolutely awful place, no one there is there to help. Even the front desk and nurses dismissed my concerns. Do not waste your time.

As I spoke to her about my symptoms of what I felt that was either…read morea UTI or Kidney infection she decided that not only would she not treat my urinary tract infection or Kidney infection with the proper medication but that she would decide to treat my illness with a medication that I informed her I had an allergic reaction too and could not take. At that time I would have expected her to change the prescription to something that would treat my symptoms but she did not. And on top of that she decided that and over the counter medication that my insurance doesn't pay to fill should be taken for the sinus infection that I clearly have. So I wouldn't recommend taking any one at all into the "Urgent Care" portion because nobody listens to anything that is said and I had to turn around and go to "First Care". Who in turn rewrote the correct medication for my condition and asked me to never let any doctor office or medical providers to tell me how to diagnose me again. Because when you are filling medication that you pay for our of pocket then that needless useless medication adds up price wise. And also what if I would have taken the said medication that was first written then it could have went me into anafalactic shock. That's bad business always!

I watched 4-5 people that came in way after me get called back to be took care of way before me. I had to go to the front and ask if I was close to being called back and they couldn't believe I hadn't been called back. Organization is so so good in this place. I did get took care of well just not at the speed I feel a healthcare system should be working.

I am extremely frustrated with the care I have received at this branch…read more It is very concerning to me that this location would hire staff who do not appear to have a proper understanding of human anatomy. I say this because there is a nurse with shoulder-length blonde hair who, based on my experience, does not seem adequately trained. I receive weekly bladder instillations, and when I saw her a few months ago, she appeared very nervous and unsure of what she was doing. It seemed as though she had not been properly trained to perform her job. She had significant difficulty inserting the catheter and repeatedly placed it incorrectly, including inserting it into my vagina multiple times instead of the urethra. At one point, she also had her finger in my rectum while still attempting to locate the urethra. I had to stop her and ask what she was doing. She continued making the same mistakes and did not seem to understand that the urethra is located at the top and is a very small opening. After that experience, I told the front desk that I never wanted to see her again. Recently, a nurse from the Powell location transferred here, and I had been seeing her. She was great. However, on April 7th, she was not there, and I was again assigned to the same nurse I had previously requested not to see. Once again, she tried multiple times and could not properly insert even a size 10 catheter into my urethra, which is the size I personally bring with me, while the clinic typically uses a size 14 catheter. She had another staff member come in to help hold me open so she could try to access the urethra, but she still could not get the catheter in. She then asked Rachael Vann to come perform the procedure, but Rachael would not come assist. As a result, I made an hour drive there and an hour drive back for nothing, which was a complete waste of my time and gas. When I came out, the waiting room was completely full. I have also noticed that appointments at this location are rarely on time, and patients should plan to be there at least an hour due to consistent delays. The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff is very kind. Due to these ongoing issues, I have moved all of my appointments to the Powell location, where they are consistently on time and properly staffed. I also want to mention that Tennessee Urology has a policy requiring that if you have surgery, the person who brings you must stay in the waiting room the entire time and then remain with you for 24 hours afterward. I find this excessive. I have had a hysterectomy in the past and did not have that requirement. For a hydrodistention procedure, which involves saline being placed in the bladder to break up scar tissue, requiring someone to stay with you for 24 hours seems unreasonable. However, I was told this is required, and without it, surgery will not be performed. Overall, I believe this location needs to ensure staff are properly trained and competent in basic anatomy and procedures, as my experience was unacceptable.

I went to see NP Nicole Gibson Pursiful and she looked at a dry area in my nose that had been this…read moreway for a few years. She was very unconcerned and calling it by some name, Rhino.??? name. She Googled it and showed me and when she pulled up the image she said "well this doesn't look anything like you but this is what it is"!! Totally not my issue!! Luckily I took the advice of a friend and checked in to see a Doctor in Dermatologist and not an NP like Nicole. Immediately the Doctor said it was pre-cancer cells and took immediate action to care for me right then! Needless to say I'm not happy with Nicole Gipson (Pursiful)APRN. Also, I was supposed to have a full body check and when she entered the room ..AND when she exited...she never checked the rest of my skin but I bet I got charged for it. Why else would I be wearing paper? After my precancerous cell findings I called the Middlesboro office and left a message telling them of what all had happened. They have YET to even call me back and say a single word to me about missing such a crucial diagnosis that was literally right in front of their faces! You be the judge in who you trust in seeing.
