I know fungus can be hard to get rid of so I wasn't upset with him for that but... I had an ingrown toenail and went to see him. He decided that the best course of action was to cut 1/4 of my nail off and cauterize. This has resulted in an open side to my nail that is not only unattractive but the fungus was able to go further down my toenail... ok, no big deal at my age and with my fungus. My daughter who 20ish with beautiful feet and nails went to see him because she got an infection at a nail salon when on vacation. I told her don't let him cut her nail off. She was there an hour and I was starting to get concerned so I called her. She said that he was going to cut her nail and cauterize... I told her to leave. She said she already allowed him to numb her toe... I told her "GET OUT!" She left with a numb toe. She put Neosporin on her toenail for three days and the infection was cleared up.

Sat down, 1 person ahead. 30 minutes total depending what your seen for. My mom was impressed and grateful that her toe, is not hurting her because doctor cut the nail and sanded it even as much as he could. So when she wears her shoe, the toe is not numbed anymore. I would recommend Dr Sommer. And I must say, everyone has experiences that can be bad or good. You may read reviews, show bad, cause thats what they experienced, while the ones who had good experiences will say, it was great. However, its like that everywhere. But truly. Give him a call, try it yourself. If you don't get the service as expected? I am sorry. You gaved it a try. If you did get that great service, please post away the experience you had. It helps others to decide.

He should have said our inserts for your son's feet are 800$. Today they couldn't see me because I have not payed my previous and only visit fee from about month ago. They were expecting me to pay over 500$ on the spot so My son can be seen by the doctor( after I explained to them I have to call the insurance to see why they haven't payed) This is absurd, never had experience like this with any other doctors office... I walk in this morning with my son and a coffee mug in my hands...the front desk lady says "take that to your car and than we can help you" so rude, no niceness at all .... That is the weirdest office in the world -The doctor, the front desk, the billing lady... unusually rude and plain weird. (The xray lady was nicer) Oh and one more thing; on the visit a month ago he couldn't find my son's reflexes so he recommended neurologist pediatrician and my son's pediatric doctor on his wellness check a week ago found it. I received a call back the following week with a profusely apologetic staff member for calling days later but they were out of the office for the Holiday. I totally get this. I was able to get an appointment for later that week. The office is a bit hard to find but I was given great instructions on the phone. The office was clean and homey. Dr. Mandula was so personable and very knowledgeable. I hope I don't have to make a follow up appointment but I was happy about my experience.

The pain continued and after cortisone injections, physical therapy and dry needling sessions I'm still in pain. I sought a 2nd opinion and the Surgeon identified was the issue is. I'm scheduled for a follow up surgery to repair what should have been done initially. I was consistently made to feel that my pain was manufactured by the PA Alyssa (who needs to practice a little empathy) and Staff and come to find out there is a confirmed issue that needs surgery. I regret choosing this practice. On a positive note the front desk Staff was pleasant, and the Nurse Brenda who was the only one who showed compassion.
