A close friend of mine (who happened to be riding with me) recommended Dr Scott. I called his office and he squeezed me in the same day we were driving back from the mountains. He scheduled the MRI for me 10 minutes after my visit with him (conveniently located in his building), had the test read by a radiologist as well as reviewed it with a colleague hand expert the following afternoon. That evening he called me with the good (thankfully) news. I could not be more happy with his professionalism, kindness, and sense of urgency. I could not recommend this doctor more highly.....and, I can't think of any doctor who would go to these lengths in such a short amount of time!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Malafa on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Tarzana Office, Los Angeles. During the visit, he treated me well and informed me that I needed wrist surgery. He said he wanted to schedule the surgery approximately two weeks after my appointment and told me that Mirna would contact me either that day or the following day to arrange it. I never received that call. Two days later, on Friday, June 5, I called the office myself and was told that someone from the surgery scheduling department would call me back later that day. No one called. I called again on Monday, June 8, and explained that Dr. Malafa had told me Mirna would be contacting me to schedule surgery. I was informed that she was out of the office but would call me back later that day or the next morning. Once again, I received no call. On Tuesday, June 9, I called yet again in an effort to schedule my surgery. I was once more told that Mirna was out of the office and that Alva Lopez, the Surgery Department Manager, would call me back either by the end of the day or the following morning. If you're reading this, are you starting to see the pattern?? This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a medical office. It has now been a week, and I still do not even have a surgery appointment scheduled. While Dr. Malafa was professional during my visit, the office's lack of communication and follow-through has been completely unacceptable. I will be seeking a new doctor immediately. I felt validated, believed that I was in pain, and something wrong close to 3 years after surgery.. I left the office with hope that Dr. Rajaee could figure out what was going on. I told him I thought I needed surgery and a knee replacement.. He said, " you THINK you need a replacement". Several months later he said, " when you KNOW you need a replacement we will schedule surgery".. A few months later using a cane, I had my right knee replaced. A few years later the left knee was replaced. I am now 80 and I have complete movement in each knee, no pain and I am so glad we did the surgery when I was stronger and younger. This doctor did a lumbar fusion on me back in 2009 and I have spent the last 16 years dealing with the pain and fall out from his incompetence. The mistakes that he made required multiple corrective surgeries and has seriously impacted my quality of life. Every spine doctor I have seen after Sperling has stated that he botched the procedure. There was a slippage that was not corrected in the nine hour surgery. Therefore, I've suffered severe nerve compression and pain as a result. He was clearly not skilled or experienced enough to do this type of surgery and I paid a heavy price. When he couldn't handle the post op issues anymore, he referred me to another doctor to correct his mistakes. Very unprofessional doctor and office. I cannot emphasize enough how sorry I am that I used this person. I didn't get multiple opinions and ended with disabling symptoms that will last a lifetime. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly incompetent and rude. Don't make the mistake I made - do yourself a favor and go to someone else. I paid too big of a price trusting this person who didn't know what he was doing.

If this is how new patients are treated before they even walk through the door, I have serious concerns about the overall quality of care at this office. Craig seems to genuinely dislike working with people, which raises the question -- why is he answering phones at a medical practice? Front desk staff are the first point of contact and represent the entire practice. Craig's behavior is damaging to Dr. Brookinghalt's reputation.
