Let's…read morejust say that this place probably had all the people of Texarkana in the emergency room when we went, and they were some interesting people. The doctor we met was nice, but did nothing to clean out/irrigate my mom's very deep dog bite. He did correct my sub par medical patch up job (sorry, I was on a road trip trying to move my family and their angry dog so I didn't have the best first aid stuff with me), but he did zero to keep her wound from getting infected or make sure her wound was patched up. She didn't even get fresh band aids out of it. He then ordered two antibiotic shots for her, which should have been a 20-30 minute wait time, but 2 hours later, and after asking the very surly nurse two to three times about my mom's status, she finally got her shot, and then an hour later her discharge papers came through. Had I known we were going to get treated/ not treated behavior like this, I would have just had my mom wait until she got home the next day. You can definitely tell that patient satisfaction is not the top of their priority list. Now why did I give three stars and not less than that? You can tell this place is the only medical treatment place for a lot of people. Whole families brought their family members in for just regular check ups under the guise of an "illness". This tells you the horrible state of medical care in this country, that an emergency room is the only way you can get seen by a doctor for all problems. The fact this place was this packed on a weekday night says a lot about how cuts to medical care in our country are affecting small towns. The cramped waiting area from the amount of people here, seeing what families were coming in for just basic medical care, and how frustrated the staff was because of the amount of cases, is a reflection of how our medical care in this country is broken. Would I come back here? No, I would rather bleed out than put up with the lack of care you receive here. At least with my sad attempt at first aid, I would do it with a smile.

I was suffering from horrible flu like symptoms because of the infection spreading as well as my dental issues and swelling in my face. I was seen by a Doctor quickly and the care I received was excellent. It's an ER not a dentist office but I didn't know what else to do. The help they gave me made all the difference in the world. They all refuse to reveal pricing for procedures over the phone so you end up stranded and having to pay their gouged fees. They charged $600 for 4 stitches in a finger and they would have refused us if we couldn't pay it. These places are scum. Wait for an urgent care to open if possible or go to a real hospital where they at the very least will offer you a payment plan.

Well I found them on the VA website and I called them and they were very familiar with this process and graciously offered to help. Honestly when you are sick enough to need help the last thing you want is a paperwork nightmare just to get health care that the VA covers for 100% disabled veterans. I'm really glad I found them, I may have had a guardian angel helping me find them. Of course I had to fill out the basic patient info. After this I was able to give them my DOD id card and they took care of the rest getting me set up and they bill the VA directly. They even set me up with the paperwork to submit to the pharmacy with the authorization number. The VA is way too complex, it's problematic at times. They didn't delay me and I was already being seen to include a chest x ray while all that VA authorization nonsense was going on, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this as I didn't feel well and it was New Year's Eve day and I'm sure VA workers were on holiday mode already. The care I received was very attentive and efficient. The meds prescribed have been very helpful already. I would strongly recommend this clinic. Words don't serve veterans--people do. This facility clearly gets it. The nurse practitioner even gave me his cell phone number to message him directly due to the holidays if I needed any changes for anything. I believe HIPPA allows one to record asking if a your insurance covers your visit to a facility. If…read morethe answer is, yes, it would be a good idea to get out the phone when visiting this facility. Being surprised by a costly bill later is disconserting and one certainly won't get the courtesy of an explanation. It was wise to document date, time and verbal responses of many phone attempts. They will not respond no matter how many times you are told someone will call you back, and the many voice mails from transfers to yet another person go unanswered. Helpful when filing a complaint with the appropriate agency. Customer service is beyond unsatisfactory and the lack of professionalism cannot be overlooked. Not a best practice to alienate people in the community.

The day of the procedure, I was again told that $100 was all I was responsible for. Then I receive a statement showing I owe $2347.20. When I questioned it, I was told that was my copay for the devide. I should have been told that the copay for the device was seperate than the $100 copay. If I had known about this, I would have cancelled the procedure, because it was a trial and didn't help with my chronic pain. I was misled by the staff at the Surgical Center and now I am responsible for this.

My son has an illness that causes him to get dehydrated every 48 hours but also causes his…read morepotassium to get very low, which is dangerous. I took him in today to get help. We saw Dr. Henderson they took his blood, checked his vitals and found that he was dehydrated and needed potassium. My son also suffers from mental health issues and one of his issues is anxiety. He hasn't been able to take his medication because he's been throwing up. He started to go into a full blown panic attack. He said he needed to get out and get air. His panic attack was so bad he just wanted to leave. I told the doctor he was having a panic attack. She suggested giving him Benadryl. He told her Benadryl was gonna do anything for his condition at the moment to just please take the IV out so we could leave at that point there was nothing hooked up to the ID. The needle was just hanging from his arm. He said he needed to sign a paper that he was leaving against medical advice. He apologized and said he was fine signing that he just wanted to go home and take his anxiety medication and he would try to come back. He was extremely apologetic and felt really bad about leaving. Dr. Henderson was visibly upset about him leaving and was very rude. As we walked out of the doors, the police were waiting outside for us to tell us that the doctor had issued a criminal trespass against us. She did not have a reason and would not speak to us. My son was polite very nice the whole time he signed the paperwork with no problem, and was extremely apologetic. If you have any type of mental health issues, do not visit this place, Dr. Henderson traumatized my son in the middle of a panic attack by calling the police to do a criminal trespass. Go anywhere else in Texarkana, but do not go here. I have no criminal background I don't even have traffic or parking tickets. I have never been so disrespected in a moment of need in my life by facility in place to help you. Corporate will not get back to me in regards to this, and the facility will not give me a response as to why the police were called. Again, do not go to this place I highly suggest against it.
