Staff was really nice, and restaurant was pretty spacious, cute old fashion diner. The service was really quick. The salad bar wasn't really that great and the food itself was okay. But overall, there isn't too many restaurant options in Stockton since it's such a small town. read more

Hometown diner food. I had a better-than-average burger, a special for the day, a rooster burger. It came with cheese, bacon and a fried egg. White onion, tomato and lettuce were on the side. Would not recommend, seemed respectable but got inside and it smells dirty reminiscent of playdough. We sat down and apparently the local business dont support each other she made us take our coffee we got from this cute coffee shop to the car. Didn't make it past getting water before we left. They should work on better hospitality. read more

We wanted to grab some quick breakfast at this location before we went back home. Upon arrival, the establishment appeared to be busy however there were tables unoccupied with dirt plates on them. I stood there for about 5 minutes until a heavy set female wearing pink shorts approached me and asked how big my party was . I told her 5 since that's how many people were standing with me. She told me she would find out how long the wait was. I stood there with my party for about 7 minutes and was getting frustrated. While waiting the heavy set female was going back and forth from the kitchen and tables while ignoring us. I finally asked another female, skinny build if we needed to sit ourselves to which she said yes. I was confused as to why the other female didn't mention this. The skinny build offered us a booth and asked if it was okay to which I said yes. We sat down and waited about 5 minutes until the skinny built lady took our drink order. 10-13 minutes went by and we finally got our drinks but still hadn't ordered food. My kids were starving and I was getting impatient. As we stood up, the female was coming out with our drinks which was approximately 15 minutes after we had asked for our drinks. I kindly told her we were leaving . It must also be noted that there was another table close to us that waited about 10 minutes and a waitress never asked for their drinks so they also left. Horrible service and will look elsewhere to dine next time I come to Stockton.!!!! read more

While in Stockton on a fishing trip, this is the place to go for breakfast. Great omelets, rye toast, and they brought me some cottage cheese. Only down side is no fruit. read more

There's absolutely no reason why anyone could rate this place lower than a five. This restaurant offers superb home cooking. The service was so friendly I actually felt like a regular here. My family were here for the Memorial Day weekend and stopped by on our way out of here. The portions were substantial and the desert was good too. We had the French Dip. It has good amount of meat and the hoagie was perfectly buttered and grilled and the Aus jus is on point. We also had the Chicken Fried Beef (the batter!!!!! ) with brown gravy on the side and I asked for my fries to come with their chili and cheese. Now I'm not sure if they make their own chili but it's definitely worth a try! All their fried items are PERFECTLY fried. They got that art DOWN (yes, frying is an art). I highly recommend you try their sweet tea. I haven't been anywhere in MO where they know what they're doing until I came here. Perfectly sweet and the tea is strong. Just how I like it.
