My favorite products are the cover all stick, custom blend foundation (matches perfectly to your skin), colorful eyeshadow (you can make your own shadow kits), lip liners, lip patinas, and makeup brushes. I have been going to Chroma Makeup Studio for over 15 yrs. Lisa (owner) is professional and has always done a fantastic job on my brows. When I reach to buy all the new lipsticks, she politely insists that I only need one of them! Their makeup artists are great. Both of my daughters had their makeup done for "prom" many times and it was never overdone. Lisa hires great people who are more than "just ok". To this day, I still use a lash person who I met during her 5 yr stint at Chroma. There is absolutely nothing lacking about the way the business is run. But, first and foremost is the welcoming attitude and the great job that i've experienced during my 15 yrs of going to Chroma.Their new space is convenient and has easy parking. I'm so glad I found a convenient place to get my brows done! I'm one of those who goes for brows pretty sporadically but when I do go I want tweezing only and a nice clean up. I keep my brows a little thicker. I mean I'm no Brooke Shields but I hate when they make my brows too thin-and there is no worry of this at Chroma! Cameron did a great job and was even nice enough to squeeze me in just before closing! I have no bumps or redness, just a clean brow line. And while your at it, you might as well grab a cupcake at Sprinkles, right down the street. read more

My eyebrow guy is the owner of the place as well as the creator of his own line of make-up that they sell there. And he doesn't use wax, he plucks the whole damn thing but it didn't hurt at all. So I closed my eyes, leaned back in the chair and just totally gave myself over to him. I didn't open my eyes until it was done. Until he shaped my brows, colored them with his brow makeup and finished them off with his brow fixer. And when he stood back I finally opened my eyes and I looked in the mirror at a totally different person. It was so weird! I look more polished. I didn't think my brows were that bad before but apparently, as the brow expert had said, "You needed a lot of work." He plucked a lot and streamlined my brows and they look great. I bought his brow fixer (which I realize now I could have done without --- you could probably just even use mascara lightly) and his eyebrow make-up (which I really love, the color matches my brows perfectly). Also, you can just buy an eyebrow brush with stiff bristles from any beauty supply store. Men can think about going here too. The "brow experts" at Chroma know the fine line between groomed and borderline drag queen. So if a dude has extra bushy brows and just wants some shape, Chroma cuts, plucks a bit....and I don't think they use brow make-up...but if you want to look more polished it could be worth it. read more

Shout out to Barbara Yniguez at Chroma Makeup Studio for the best lash lift I've ever had. Barbara's attention to detail and cleanliness is simply the best. Barbara takes the time to understand her clients needs and really walks you through the process. The results were all that and then some. My lashes were perfectly lifted and felt amazing, not dry and brittle like I've experienced previously in other salons. I love Chroma Makeup Studios it is a beautiful studio with great artist. I've been going to Jacki Shepard for several years. She's an absolute professional and does an amazing job on my brows--such a great job that people actually complement them . . . which, sure, is a little weird, but there's something to be said for well-shaped brows. A few details: She only tweezes, doesn't do waxing, and accepts appointments via email. Brow plucking runs about $32 plus tip, but I swear she's the best. I went to Chroma Makeup Studio for the first time yesterday and it was unlike anywhere I have ever been before. Not only was the customer service amazing, the space was beautiful and I was given an amazing makeup tutorial by top makeup desiger Lisa Carino. She taught me how to put on eye concealer properly, made me a custom foundation perfect for my skin tone, and found me the perfect shade of red lipstick. Michael is amazing as well and did my guy friend's brows to perfection. They are both INCREDIBLE makeup artists, and it makes sense that Chroma has been in business in the Beverly Hills area for 25 years. I have been Lisa's client for years and she has done my makeup and brows and always perfectly. Always wonderful to my family, very accomodationg. Lisa knows what I like and never does too much, just enough to have a beautiful and natural makeup when I walk out. I love their makeup products, base, shadows etc. Lisa taught all my daughters how to properly and subtly apply makeup. My three daughters and I have also had Lisa do our makeup for special occasions and weddings and all four of us have loved her work. Whenever they are in town she is their first appointment. And now I am getting lash extensions from Lee and they are amazing. She is professional, sweet and does an excellent job. I have had lashes before but never like these. I use the volumizing ones and they look so natural, especially because I don't want the party long lash look and she has done them beautifully. Where do I start? I have been coming to Chroma since they first opened their doors, and my brows and lashes couldn't thank Lisa Casino. enough! I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and own practically every color and product they produce. Their custom kits are wonderful and help keep my vanity from getting unruly. They also help me keep colors together for quick and easy applications when I'm heading out in a hurry (the kits also make traveling with makeup way easier because everything is in a single kit). Having freckles, foundation has always been a challenge, but Lisa can blend a custom color for me while I wait that evens out my coloring but lets the freckles shine through. However, 95% of the time I'm visiting Chroma is for their services, and they are wonderful. My brows and lashes are flawless, and the few times I've had my makeup applied, there have been nothing but compliments (check out my profile photo from when Lisa did my makeup for a red carpet event). read more
