Went there today and was so disappointed. The pizza is very overpriced and nasty, about 25% of the games were broken and older kids are the only ones who seem that can play them, and the staff.... I was dreading my meal at Chuck E Cheese, I used every excuse in the book to try and get out of my visit. My thinking was a mediocre meal surrounded my loud kids and noisy video games. I was surprised and relieved! The price was pretty reasonable and the noise was fairly well confined to the game room area. My meal, is a word, was great. The pizza was about what I expected although the crust was rather good. The part that won me over (and I actually went back and ordered more) were the buffalo wings. These things were wonderful! There is no choice of sauce or boneless but trust me that it's a good thing. The house wings come in 10 or 25 count servings and disappeared about as fast as any wings I've ever had. The sauce wasn't too acidic like some of the sauces at Buffalo Wild Wings, nor was too sweat like many at Wing Stop, and the crust was not taking over like Hooters. I'm sure it would be weird if I went to Chuck E Cheese with some buddies solely to eat wings, but the awkward glares from parents and their kiddos are totally worth it! read more

We went there for a play date for our grandchildren---we were hungry so my wife and I ordered the overpriced ham and cheese "sub combo"--the girl (Briana) who took our order neither greeted us when we got to the order station nor thanked us for our business after we placed our order--most unfriendly and nonchalant person I ever met--after waiting and waiting and WAITING we finally got our sandwiches--the sub "combo" was a burned bun with about half a slice of cheese and a piece of ham about the size of my thumb along with about six soggy french fries--since I was hungry I reluctantly gagged down this "mess"-- Based on the extremely overpriced, poor quality food and the unfriendliness of the staff, Chuck e Cheese has seen the last of us--lots of other places in Lubbock where we can go to share good times with our grandkids--we did NOT have a good time at Chuck e Cheese read more

Very disappointed. I feel tho restaurant is taking advantage of families. Food was very expensive for the quality. The games were also expensive. Had to ask for another plate to visit the " all you can eat" salad bar. Saw several people replenishing with out clean plates. Never did see "the mouse". I don't know how a large family could afford this place. We definitely will not be back. It's been a month with no response from client relations. I have to agree with jesse g under the not recommended area of the webpage. After waiting almost 30 min the meal was underwhelming. I spent $12 on a pizza that was barely bigger than a pizza hut personal pan pizza (for gauging size). It was tasteless. It also does not help spending nearly $3 for a drink that seemed like the cup was barely bigger than a dixie cup. The cashier was very impersonal. Brought my kids here with my wife for our two year old daughters birthday party. Walked in with rainbow and unicorn cupcakes that my daughter was so excited to have. The lady at the desk very rudely said that we can't have any outside food or drinks. I would understand but the month before my 4 year old son had his birthday here with some friends and they allowed it then. After we had to explain to our daughter why she couldn't have the cupcakes she was so excited to have, my wife went to get a drink they forgot to give us with our order. The last behind the desk (same rude person) said that we could buy a cake from them for the birthday party. This is my second time here and I haven't had a good experience yet. Ray the GM runs the place like a pit boss. Long story, bear with me. I know it's silly, but interesting enough I thought I'd share. Today at chuck e cheese for my nephews birthday party... I play the same game I always play, the ball drop. This one had 3 "add a bonus ball" slots that were pretty easy to hit. Then one "drop bonus balls" slot which dropped the amount of balls you had accumulated. At one point I had 33 balls in bonus built up. To say I was winning is an understatement, I had figured out the flaw in the game. The manager on duty said he had never seen someone do what I was doing and they kept putting in more tickets. So after shift change the GM sends someone to reset the game, but it remembers my progress, then he says the game was malfunctioning and he would not honor the ticket payout. He then went on to deny it was possible to do what I was doing. If you look, 3 of 18 add to the bonus and 1 activator. Essentially, I had a GM of a business try and explain to me I couldn't physically do what I did, I replied "turn the machine back on and I'll do it again." Keep in mind that their best prize cost 7500 tickets (in their value $75) for a $10-15 prize. The GM was mad I exploited their game system ;). He refused any amicable resolution and challenged me to write corporate. I did, and pointed out that my 2 young children have birthdays coming up in the next few weeks and we will be taking them elsewhere. *please, I realize this is a child's game, it's the principle of the matter. Their entire business model is to extract as much money possible in the time you're there, just don't win too much.* (The first manager said "please take all these tickets up there and tell them you want it all in tootsie rolls") #chuckecheese read more

Our experience was awful. I think this location has down sized. The playing area is smaller than the seating area. Hardly anything to do anymore. Chuck came out walked to the front to get tickets. Went to the area they give out tickets, threw them in the air and walked to the back to change. Our little one was so excited to see him and he spent no time with the kids. We have had many Birthday parties at this place. Today was my Grand Daughter's Birthday. My grand daughter wanted to stand in the Ticket Blaster, but CEC refused because we weren't a "scheduled" birthday party. I told them that no one had been in it all morning and no one would know that my grand daughter wasn't a scheduled party. It wouldn't cost them a thing to let a 6 yr old stand in a booth for 3 minutes, but it would've made a huge difference to a little girl. For a kids restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to eat here. It is clean, well maintained, and they have a great salad bar if you are not a big pizza eater. Was very comfortable with my kids playing games. Obviously the management has put effort into making this place a nice family environment. A group of 14 went in to celebrate our 2 yr olds birthday at the Lubbock, TX location. It was 7:30pm and they close at 9pm, no other customers were there. We selected the big booth table combo by the games to accommodate all of us. We were told by the staff we could not sit there that we would need to sit at the booths against the wall. We explained we wanted to sit as a group. She proceeded to tell us they were shampooing the carpets the next morning and the 8 chairs were already on the table so we could not sit there. This message is first coming from my 5.2 year old "I became very scared of the skeleton game and felt it was not good! " this is from his mama, there was several games I felt were not appropriate for children. The worst one was the pirate game with skeletons. The place was very unclean and smelled like dirty feet. When we went to the bathroom there was feces smeared on the back toilet and it was very dirty! When we went to wash our hands there was no soap! They do not really offer anything else healthy but salad.It is very loud and distracting and kids mostly do not interact with eachother it is more about the video games!
