I tried the Cubano sandwich and the Pulled Pork sandwich. Both sandwiches had tons of meat! The Cubano was tasty and had a nice touch of their homemade mustard. I wasn't sure what the chuckle sauce was, as I could not identify it. The pulled pork was extremely dry and not so tasty. I asked for BBQ sauce, but they only had Siracha. What a cool little hidden secret of Melbourne. Located inside the ex wasted space next to New Guirinia, the area has been transformed into a mod grass, light in jar oasis for those wanting a cheap eat and a cheeky beer at lunch. Go up to the caravan order and take a seat. On the day I went, I was the only one there, which works for me. I ordered the pulled pork roll, which arrived on a crispy bun. I'm not a massive fan of coleslaw, but I loved theirs, with a hint of chilli. Tasty tasty roll. This would be a great place for those looking for something a little Melbourne and different to the corporate lunch of sandwich/sushi ect. It's not a big area, so not great for groups, but I'll definitely be back, on a Friday so I can have a beer with lunch :) read more

This place is beautiful at night! It's especially great to bring your date here for a romantic evening in the city. I cannot believe that this little "pop-up" look-a-like restaurant has been around for 3 years and I've only discovered it now! I had the meatball wrap which tasted quite alright...then again I'm not very fond of wraps so I might be biased. The food selection here was quite limited when I came by as they've sold out plenty of their famous dishes. I would highly recommend getting the corns for the appetizers here though. They are amazing! I dare say it's even better than the ones I've tried at one of my favorite restaurants in town, Mamacita. You'll find the prices very reasonable too. The staff here is great! ok so that was seriously delicious!!! Had the cubano sandwich, ham and spicy pulled pork....! Crazy good! It was huge as well so treat portion! It is such a nice place in that little alley. Great decoration, style and vibe. Little caravan in the back. One of my best find in melbourne! A out pricey ($14 for the sandwich) but I was so good, it was definitely worth it!!! I can honestly say I've walked past this place a thousand times. Always thought Yeah I should go there but oh no I'm a lonely corporate type lady who needs to be cooler to get in. Or at least BYO friends. Well I finally did and boy oh boy am I glad that I did. Simple food and drinks menu that works really well. This is really just an added bonus to the hipster cool that Chuckle Park is. Visually stimulating this little place really does encapsulate the Melbourne laneway culture. Down side- smokers. This space is teeny tiny and your rubbing shoulders with your fellow drinkers. Sharing body space is ok, sharing second hand smoke not so cool kids. The pulled pork roll was pork-a-licous. Wow, this is a really cool bar. A great use of a tiny lane way off Lt Collins St. An eclectic mix of plants in jars, hung above the fake grass floor, but surprisingly, it all works. The bar/kitchen is set up in an old caravan. Even the statue of Madonna, over the bar, seems to fit in here. We had a yummy Fajita Roll for a snack. Worth a return visit. read more

A friend and I stumbled upon Chuckle Park on a recent rainy Friday arvo en route to another one of those Melbourne bars that are just around the corner. Though it's just off Little Collins Street, it feels as though you are nowhere near the city. As soon as you walk in, all the noise and foot traffic just disappears (and I was there at work-closing time for lots of CBD go-ers). The decor is astro-turf chic (reminiscent of Madame Brussels) and it definitely brightened up our otherwise rainy and dark Friday. The staff are super friendly (and cute!). We had a lovely time. The drinks menu is quite small, with only about 4 beers and a handful of wine choices. Also, to get to the toilets you have to brave the pathos of New Guernica upstairs (for these two reasons, I haven't given a higher review). Chuckle Park is, however, a great choice for a quite drink after work or before a big night out. read more

This is a great outdoor bar, a bit tucked away on Little Collins street. There are heat lamps so not to worry. The menu focuses on american classic sandwiches. No frills. I had the Cubano and the bread was fresh and soft and the meat plenty and tasty. There is also a snack menu and vegetarian options so not to worry. Ive noticed chuckle park a few times, but never ventured in, always off to somewhere else. It's actually quite good here in a bright colourful artificial yet still cool grassed area. Order from a little old caravan trailer thing, which is pretty cool. There's a variety of foods, most of which not only look excellent but are cheap. Negroni shots. Cocktail jugs also feature on the menu which is concise but good. Mountain Goat fancy pants beer, or orion 500 ml from japan all in cans are great. There's also a Moritz and meatball deal which is pretty swell. There's two logo's for chuckle park- One with a bear, and one with an ewok? Or Ewok/bear hybrid combination. I didn't really notice it until someone pointed it out to me. Lots of plants in jars hanging above between the building space. I came here looking for New Guernica, but was early. read more

Nifty space, good for a quick lunch or an after work drink. It typifies Melbourne laneway culture with kitsch and charm. The sandwiches come out quickly for lunch (a bonus), and are served on cute little cutting boards. The veggie tortilla isn't really much of a tortilla- but, it is yummy veggies on a roll (like the pulled pork) with quite a bit of sauce to boot. Glasses of wine are poured generously, but beer in tinnies are a wee bit expensive for what you get. But please don't let this dissuade you from a visit. The pimms in a jug can't be missed. Chuckle Park is a really great place for late afternoon drinks in the city and does some fairly tasty light meals. The decor is adorable and has a really lovely park feeling. I don't love the stools they use (see photos) they are very standard around Melbourne but my friends and I always think they get uncomfortable after about an hour. If they had comfy laid back chairs I would give this place four stars! read more

Chuckle Park is another classic Melbourne laneway venue. Set off the street you wouldn't be along if you've walked past and missed the entrance. It's a small, outdoor, quirky venue. You order (hipster type) food and drinks from the cheeky yet cute barman whose located inside a caravan. I've been here a few times and mostly enjoyed the food and the venue. The last time I was there it was to show off my cool venue find to a friend. We were in the mood for burgers. If eaten here before and enjoyed the food however this time both my friend and I were underwhelmed by the food and I was very aware of a lot of other customers smoking all around me while I ate. I found this very off putting and would give this place a miss in future simply for that reason. I'd recommend this venue for a drink only. But not if you don't like cigarette smoke in your face. read more

Wow! An atmosphere I haven't seen in Melbourne before and am findind it hard to find another place like it. Although their variety of beer and liquor aren't outstanding I have fallen in love with the spicy pulled pork and slaw burger. Especially good to have tasty veg options alongside the pulled pork rolls and what-have-you. The pulled pork bun was impressively flavored with enough chilli to make you want more beer. The corn on cob (elote) was reportedly delightful enough for second order. This place is easy to miss amid the hustle and bustle of Little Collins St , so you gotta know where you're going if you want to find this hidden spot. I always struggle to find somewhere to go in the city for an afternoon beer or snack (clearly, I'm not on Yelp enough), but Chuckle Park is always a good bet. My second "hang out" ever with my partner was here, so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. I'm pretty sure their meatball sandwich also holds a special place in my heart because it's delish! Also up there is their pulled pork sandwich. Chuckle Park is a great place to go for a beer and a bite to eat, but be warned that it's teeny tiny. There's only a few high top tables and most are only equipped for a few peeps. With that said, it's cosy and unique, oh and sort of outside (dress warm for those days when Melbs is 25 degrees one minute and 10 the next). I also feel it's important to inform you all that the bathroom is miles away - OK, it's upstairs but you need to take the elevator (great opportunity to chat awkwardly with other CP patrons) and bring the pee key along with you. So, if you're having fun with your mates and drinking loads of Moritz, don't wait until you gotta go real bad or you'll be sorry and you'll wish you had read this review long before now! read more
