Amazing store and staff was friendly and helpful. I was surprised at the selection of comics, games, and collectibles.

I almost docked a star because Yelp listed their location as the old one so we got here in twice the time we thought we would, but i'm just super happy with their selection here. They had a LOT of model kits and comics, aswell as lots of Goji goodies and anime stuff. The whole right side of the store has most of the figures, so it was pretty easy navigating and looking around. The staff were pretty nice, as far as I could tell. The prices weren't half bad either, definitely better than the ones at Tate's back in SoFlo - sorry, Tate's. I snagged me a King Piccolo for 80 bucks, and Tao Pai Pai was essentially MSRP!! the other figures, even their rarer Mario S.H. Figuarts were pretty fair prices, with them being 10-20 bucks more expensive than online. Also, that mural in the front is damn cool. read more

I was looking for new comic book stores to go to and found this on the Apple Maps. Not only do they have a HUGE selection, it's also close to my house! It's inventory is overwhelming upon your first entry compared to other stores. Ranging from back issues, new issues, image, marvel, DC, used books, toys, figurines, manga, crafting supplies, figures to build yourself, and more! Anyways, I try to come in Wednesdays to get new issues or just browse in general. Well organized store and it even has parking in the back! Everyone is also very helpful! read more

I am a comic reader rather than collector, so I buy a lot of trade paperbacks and Omnibuses. I have never seen such a HUGE selection of those in one place as at Chuck's Comics. read more

This is the BEST comic book shop in Baltimore! Chuck has devoted his life to understanding the business of comics, anime, and anything with superheroes and the rarity of it! This shop has been around for 30 strong years and everyone is extremely nice and friendly. If he doesn't have it, he'll get it imported from Japan if he can. This guy is a truly dedicated and genuine man. He even fixed some of my props for me. read more

We ordered a book for our son. It arrived and was way too violent so we returned it the next day. It was returned in the same packaging and was in pristine condition. On his website he offers a full refund. However he refunded 80% and didn't return shipping either. We buy comics and epic collections every single week. We thought we would try out this local store but between his rude emails and the refusing to honor a refund, we give this place one star. We had planned to just order a different comic from the same store but now we won't. It was so easy for him to just make it right. We don't know why he's being so difficult. read more

Good selection of back issues and tons of toys/statues/Funko pops to choose from. You can find some good stuff here if you go digging through their selection because the space is pretty large inside. Especially awesome during Free Comic Book Day, it's a whole event here. I really only give it 3 stars because staff has been grouchy/curt with me on a few occasions in there. Also the flipping of the Pops from other stores kind of rubs me the wrong way. read more

My favorite comic book store in MD! When you first walk into Chuck's Comics your greeted by a employee (I like to be acknowledged when I go into a store) and asked if there was anything you need help finding after that your not badgered over and over your free to roam the store and what a store it is. They have the largest supply of modern to golden age back issues I have ever seen, (not tons of gold but I normally don't see a lot of gold in places other then conventions) all of them in order in the center of the store. One entire wall is dedicated to graphic novels while the other side of the store is just filled to the brim with toys funko pops and gaming stuff. There is room in the back with tables set up for warhammer and games like that and tables down for card and board games. Also another great thing its CLEAN and organized. This is my weekly stop so I can't recommend them enough. read more

This is a spectacular gem for an area as dreary as Baltimore suburbia. The building itself is located on what would have become the mainstreet of Essex, and is situated near a museum and monument. The facade is usually decorated, and is extremely charming. It always gives me a fuzzy feeling to look at the displays in the window. As for the inventory, it's fantastic. There are a variety of genres and media formats available, and, yes, there are comics. I appreciate how eccentric some of the items are, which included an album from Evelyn Evelyn (something I thought not possible). The staff is very pleasant, but they will become rightfully upset if you plan to loiter (which has become/is an issue). I fell victim to this as a kid, mostly because the store is seriously friggin' cool. read more

Its where my box is at. Best comic book store around. Huge store with lots of things for the average and the novice nerd. The comics are well taken care of, some stores new comics are kept on the metal rack with the chance of bends in the books, not here because the wooden back is the way it should be. The owner and staff are great and knowledgable and fantastic. This store helped me and my wife get into comics, the owner talked to us for 20 minutes and was so helpful and made me and my wife feel like we weren't just a sale, definitely made me a customer for life. Have been to every comic store within 10 miles and not one can beat Chucks. read more

This place is great. The selection is amazing and its more than just a comic book store. It also doubles as a game store with its great variety of different miniature and board games. It also boats gaming areas in the back and the staff run tournaments and such to keep people coming back. read more
