7.3.24 (review written) 6.22.24 (visit) A large department store located in White Marsh Mall. The day I shopped there was a promotion to take 20% off the lowest sale ticketed price. I perused the juniors and petites. Juniors had cute apparel whereas petites seemed tailored more to older clientele. I did find a cute pair of floral pants in the petite's section and a polka dot dress and green short-sleeve shirt in juniors. I also checked women's intimate apparel to look at pjs and there was a handful of cute sets that were cheap as they were on sale. I was short on time as the hubs was waiting for me, otherwise, would have tried on a few and purchased. Maybe next time. Definitely a fun place to shop with affordable prices. read more

We went to Boscovs in the White Marsh Mall last Sunday at 6:40 pm. We started out at JC Penny's and walked all the way there. I am handicapped so we had to dit down every few steps. When we went in, the employee told us she was locking the door at 6 pm. When we tried to leave, two very rude employees told us we can't get out except thru the outside doors. It was very cold and my husband had to walk all the way to Penny's out in the parking lot. I was forced to sit on the outside bench for 30 minutes until my husband brought the car around. We will never go to Boscovs again. We realize they were anxious to go home, but the rudeness was uncalled for. read more

I have been employed at Boscov's for two years and can honestly say it's one of the best company's I have had the pleasure of working. They are truly family oriented and take generous care of their employees. I'm so fortunate to work at the White Marsh location where customers have become friends. It's a fantastic store with exceptional customer service. I may be biased but you would be hard pressed to find a company in 2025 with the service and kindness Boscov's offers. read more

Came to this store after visitng three other stores. I was on the hunt for comfortable, flat silver or black dressy sandals or dressy shoes without heels for an outdoor wedding. Was already in a bad mood that no one had what I wanted. I immediately searched the women section. I found maybe 2 possible choices. After a few minutes of searching, I settled on my choices to try on. There were only 2 people in the whole department working. So I waited by the line to ask for my size. Well my attitude came out when there was a miscommunication between, another customer and George. After cooling my nerves, I asked George for the shoes in my size. Je came out to advise that he one shoe in a 9.5. (my top choice) and the other one in a 10. In my head I was like there is no way I could fit a 9.5, well George advised the shoe runs large. As soon I tried on the one, I was immediately sold. George said he could ring me up. I humbly apologized to him for being short with him. He accepted my apology. I felt bad but he provided the upmost great customer service. I cannot wait till to wear them for the wedding, however I didn't find exactly what I wanted but I am pleased with the cost and comfort. read more

I have recently visited Boscov's in White Marsh and Westminster; a bit of a drive to both but I have been satisfied with both locations. Last winter I bought a black trench coat that I couldn't find any place else, including Amazon. I've since purchased shirts, pants, jackets and a windbreaker with which I am very pleased. In my opinion Boscov's has better prices than Macy's and better selection than K&G. read more

Ahh, the after holiday sales are great! Pj's at 75% off-mom bought 5 sets. The entire store was on sale from shoes(great service from gentleman working that area just didn't get his name), socks, coats, activewear and some Ravens & Orioles items. Spring clothes are already out & on sale today as well. So much to buy so little time! Store cleanliness 5/5 Available stock 4/5 (some sections only had very small or very large sizes). Staff -5/5 friendly, helpful and professional Fitting room 5/5 -clean, has bench to sit and try outfits on & bright lighting Extras-small carts available for use in store which was a plus when buying multiple items for my mom who couldn't carry all the items even with my assistance. read more

Had the BEST experience at Boscov's thanks to a very nice, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, cashier. Her name was Jean and she worked with the curtains. I could not find what I was looking for but Jean was a HUGE help and a great employee. It's refreshing to have someone really care about their job and customers. Jean is GREAT! There is nothing wrong with the store soo to speak, however, be careful with regard to their credit card. I had dealt with this store for many years, but recently paid my credit card bill off. This was the only time they said I was late paying my bill. I paid that bill thru e-pay. My payment arrived there 2 days later, but they didn't post the payment for 8 days. I have been in a constant argument for the last 3 months. I find all of it suspicious and unsettling. Be careful. read more

I went to Boscov's around the holiday's after looking the sales paper. It was my first time since they reopened the store. They were advertising items they had on sale. So I decided to pay them a visit. When I got to the store mostly everything that was advertised as being on sale was in the middle of aisles. That made me happy that I didn't have to search the store to find what I was looking for. I picked up some great deals. Customer service was great. They also had a area where you can get your gift you purchased wrap free. That was great for those who didn't have time or didn't want to wrap there gifts. Overall my experience was excellent and I will be back in the near future. read more

Wow! I've never heard of Boscov's and I already love the store! Of course, it's all the way over at White Marsh Mall which I pass by like once or twice a year. It's like a cross between Kohl's (housewares) and J.C. Penney's (clothing). What makes Boscov's better than J.C. Penney's is that there are actually deep discounts. The store was clean and filled with quality clothing. It wasn't like those stores that are dead and have only 2 or 3 articles of clothing per rack. I'm all set for the summer! The sales associates were friendly and helpful. The only thing that this store is like Kohl's and Target is that you could easily spend $100 just for yourself. However, it'll be all worth it! I ordered a comforter online. Looked nothing like the picture. The customer service department didn't know how to cancel the order. Then when I asked another employee asking about another comforter on display no more than 10 feet away she blew me off and told me to ask someone else. My husband and I visited this Boscov's location tonight because I had seen a pair of sweatpants on Wednesday, that I wanted for Christmas. I wanted to get his advice on the fit of them, so we waited until tonight when we both had time off to visit the store. I tried on multiple items in different sizes, to find the right fit. I made sure to clear my dressing room and put the clothing that didn't work on the rack outside of the fitting rooms. While I was walking to the cash register to ring out, I was approached by an employee, and she said "Why didn't you tell us that the clothes didn't work out, why did you leave a whole bunch of clothes in the dressing room?!" (I'm saying this a lot more eloquently than she said it) I realized that she thought that another dressing room that was trashed with clothes when I went to try on my items was mine. I explained to her that I had cleared my dressing room and put all of the items that didn't work on the rack outside of the dressing room. She looked at me as though she didn't believe me, and then said very rudely "Oh, then I take it back." I couldn't believe interaction that I had with this sales associate. The entire situation was disappointing to say the least. I love this Boscov's location for their discounts on quality active wear, but this incident makes it hard for me feel comfortable shopping here. Update 12/18/17: I returned to the store yesterday morning to purchase a few more items, and I asked the associate for her name (with the intention to make mention of the incident to her manager). She snapped at me, denied accusing me of trashing the dressing room with clothing, and then told me that I would need to wait for her to get a price check on one of my items, even though I was purchasing two of the same item, one of which had a price tag. I received a call from corporate this morning, in response to my Yelp review, and they assured me that better training will be provided to help avoid situations like this in the future. read more

Garbage. The floor personnel don't run the registers. Past 4 registers that had NO ONE running them. Even made a joke with another customer that no one works here. Put my stuff down and ordering off of Amazon. read more

Terrible experience today in the shoe department. There were two women working the cash register in the shoe department and the one woman was so disrespectful to the other one. She was shouting her and would not stop and the entire shoe department was commenting about it. I did report this abusive woman to the store manager. read more

Great shopping on the first day after the Covid quarantine. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I saw a few Managers walking the store checking in with staff and clients. I wish there is Boscov's near me and anywhere. The Boscov's store locations are sparse. I like this store better than Marshall's.

Would give it no stars if I could. They suck. They hire people (managers) that lie and deceive customers. Then they fire the people, and don't fix the mess they caused. Their customer service department doesn't return your calls and are less then helpful. Don't shop Boscov! Not worth the headache!! Just like all the other reviews, the customer service here is beyond terrible. Even the employees make jokes about it, and make nasty comments about each other in front of customers (as in, me). I have shopped here numerous times because of the deals but when you cannot locate a person or a register, there's nothing else to do but leave. The only exception is the furniture dept, because they make high commissions on their over priced furniture..... Maybe stores in other areas have nicer employees....but they're in desperate need of a whole staff makeover at White Marsh. Its messy, allllll the time....every department (except furniture) is ridiculous. If I am tripping over stuff on the floor, its a problem. All the reports online about the owner visiting each store on Fridays? If that's still a thing, then he should spend every day at the White Marsh, MD store. Pretend you're not the CEO and see what type of shopping experience you have. read more

This could have been a much, much better review, and I'm sorry that I have to bust it down to two stars - because the prices and deals here were awe-inspiring. But what is the point when the customer service stinks? My husband and I found a Pfaltzgraff dish pattern that we absolutely adored after months and months of searching, and not only was it a reasonable price, but it came with a bunch of freebies that we really couldn't have gotten anywhere else. So we decided that we were going to purchase, and hauled it on up to the nearest checkout. Now, if you've ever hauled around a 16-piece dinnerware set before (especially Pfaltzgraff, which isn't made of cheap material), you know it's HEAVY. So we're struggling to keep a hold of the box, plus the freebies that came with it - God knows we didn't want to drop the stuff. There's a line snaking around the corner and nowhere to put the box but in our arms - great. This wouldn't have been a big deal, except that the cashier was probably the slowest person on the face of the planet. We stood there for at LEAST 20 minutes while he helped one customer - so, then he gets to the next one and - whoops, there's a problem. Really??!!!?? My husband's arms are breaking from the weight of these dishes and you have to go run a price check? Don't you all have enough people to take care of this? Can we at least get up to a place where we can sit the box down? We decide to try and find another register, so we dragged the box and extras with us to the next place we see an employee and a customer. And that's when we get the "sorry, this register's closed" - only to have them turn around and serve someone ELSE when they thought we weren't looking. Well, that did it. We put the dishes right back where they came from and walked out - deals or no deals, that's just not cool. Claiming your register is closed and then turning around to serve someone else, right in front of our faces? Okay, no problem, you must not want our money for these dishes - or the beautiful triple-digit watch that we were going to buy. Sucks to be you. Great deals, nice merchandise, bad customer service. Unfortunate that the latter has caused us to avoid this store in future. read more

I was trying to find a bathing suit out of season and got the transfer round around from Boscov's. After being transferred 3 times, the call got disconnected and I was back to square one. No one seemed to know anything and just wanted to get off the phone instead of helping me find the department that would have bathing suits. read more

I went to return an item I got for Christmas. I needed to exchange a size that wasn't at this location but was available at another store in Towson. What came out of the managers mouth was beyond disrespectful. She says that's what people who steal say. STEAL! I'm at the register with a gift receipt and this is what she says!!! These companies really need to hire better quality people to handle customers in a service oriented industry. Horrible!!!! She should be fired! I have been a long time shopper at Boscov's in Westminster. Since I recently moved to the White Marsh area, I was thrilled when Boscov's opened at White Marsh Mall. However, it has been very disappointing. The customer service is horrible. I purchased a Magic Bullet a month ago and it took me over an hour for the cashier to figure out how to give me a discount. We had to go to the manager. When we got to the manager, another employee was extremely rude to me. So, I thought that I would give them a second chance. My daughter found a blouse on a manequin. The girl in the Junior department was pleasant as she took my name and number because there was not another blouse on the floor like it. The department head never called me. When I finally reach her she was rude and told me it would be impossible to purchase the blouse. Boscov's will not receive a third chance from me. read more

Boscov is a fantastic department store. My family shops here frequently. The service is almost always friendly and efficient. The best part of shopping here is that they offer a 15% military discount everyday on every item, for both the actual service member and their family members. All one has to do is go to the customer service desk and ask for the discount with proof (military ID) and they will give you a discount coupon to present to the cashier when you check out. read more

The store is clean and chock-full of merchandise. My husband had a pair of jeans that he previously bought that did not fit and we were able to return the jeans with ease. I thought it was slightly unbecoming but comic that our cashier was swearing at the register that was computing slowly. We decided to look at mattresses. It was going well until another associate disregarded my personal space and almost plowed me out of his way without an excuse me or a second take. read more

During the Christmas holiday I was on crutches post-surgery and I had a really weird incident with an employee. It was my first time out in weeks after the surgery and I needed to buy a gift for someone I couldn't find online. This place isn't particularly handicapped friendly and I was hurting, so I had to take a seat on the corner of one of those display things where they lay out a folded shirt or some jeans or whatever. There really aren't any chairs sitting around, after all. This employee rushes up to me and reaches under my butt and says "SIR YOU'RE SITTING ON THE MERCHANDISE." She pulls a shirt from underneath where I sitting. I had no idea what was going on, but I felt like I was violated because you know, HAVING SOMEONE ALMOST TOUCH YOUR BUTT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I didn't know how to react to it so my wife (who didn't see the incident) came by and asked this employee about it and she said she asked me three times to get off the shirts and I didn't. She even know I was on crutches and felt justified that I was damaging the products consumers would be looking at and purchasing. You better believe I called the manager an hour later. Not sure what happened afterwards but it definitely sounded like the manager was ticked that it happened. I know this is going to be a bold statement, but here goes: this is the most uncomfortable I've ever felt shopping in a store. I'm never shopping there again but for some inexplicable reason I keep getting gift cards to this place from family. I mean, what do I do with them? I don't want to go here. They just collect dust on a countertop. I'll just say this. I have a close relative paralyzed from the waist down. If something like this happened to her while we were in the store I would make the incident viral on every social networking site available to me. You don't treat people with a handicap this way. This is the store's second attempt in this mall over the years and if it closes again it wouldn't be surprising to me. It's an unethical cesspool of crowded aisles, terrible perfume smells, and terrible people. read more

Had a terrible experience on 6/19/19. Had to take my daughter and 12 year old granddaughter shopping for proper clothes to wear to the funeral of my son-in-law, (their husband and father). Found what we needed quickly but hard to find open register. Went to the only one open and waited behind an elderly woman who was opening an account with a clerk who could not have been slower. A line was forming behind us. We were trying to be patient but it was the end of a long hard several days and it became obvious that we were running out of time and steam. The old lady was oblivious and the clerk decided to slow down to teach us a lesson. When it finally became our turn, this clerk was extremely rude. She did not know the reason we were there. But enjoyed delaying us acting rudely to us. I suggested this store to my family because I shop at Boscov's in Media PA all the time and like it. We had a horrible experience at the Men's Wearhouse in the Avenue and decided to go across the street to Boscov's to find some men's attire for a formal wedding coming up. Gary in the men's department was extremely professional and helpful. He heard an earful from us about the MW across the street and didn't try to get over on us at all. He did measurements and found exactly what we needed, all at a discounted price. He went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was easy and enjoyable and as cost effective as possible. I purchased a mattress and box spring at this store in December of 2014. After 1 year the mattress has a big sink hole in the middle I bought an expensive set not some cheap crap I went in to the store and was given a copy of my sales check along with the customer service number and was told I could have a new mattress with in 30-45 days no charge to me. This process started on 1/31/2016 I was told boscovs no longer takes care of the warranty of therapeutic mattress and that I would have to contact them direct I did this on Feb 1st still waiting for a response from Ken M with therapeutic and they want to up sell and charge me 150. for delivery and no you cant pick up. I called Boscovs to complain and beg for their help they sold this bed to me and told me about the warranty which at the time they took care of. They need to step up and do something to resolve this issue. I cant sleep on this crap bed. Not a happy camper I will never shop boscovs again and am in the process of canceling my credit card. read more
