over the years have bought many guns and other items and at a fair price both new & used .. but in the last few years the fairness and honesty has slowly gone away .sad huh ! . My last time for going to buy there was met with above msrp price and excuses about a wanted gun that they ordered that they failed calling ( called them 7 times over five weeks ) that i ended up getting for over 20 % less at Pro Bass in Macon ( even got a military discount on top of that after the nice guy saw my ID ! ) .... before that a 'new' (sic;pun) shotgun that had shop worn dents & dings at full price that was after i got it home was found to have screwed with the 'fix' to the safety by gouging the receiver making it even worst . (did NOT happen at the factory ! ) (was able to fix it the correct way have two other same types --( they had to have known about it ) common problem and a very easy fix by any one with even a .... a low IQ) ... best to shop around and check other places . gone are the past fun to buy from places huh ( pro bass & the 'Sport center' in Perry would are two still nice honest spots .... * Both Pro bass and the Sport center had SEALED from the factory box's that were opened in front of me ! NOT the 'demo's out out the show case that have been played with and racked many time 'dry' !!! * .. will still look at their ammo ( good stock ) and some fair prices too ... read more

Last week I had planned to purchase 1 to 2 firearms while I was in town. My son is the weapons expert, so he was looking at Chuck's supply while my daughter-in-Law came to pick me up on Robins AFB. On our way to Chuck's, my son called and said he'd left there & to pick him up at a nearby location since the male at the gun counter was extremely rude to him. The man actually told my son that it didn't look like he had any money to buy a gun so he needed to leave the store. I was furious when I heard this! I will NEVER set foot in this place again! Understand, first of all, I have my own string, they still wanted $35.00,,,then I called 'Bass Pro" and they quoted me $15.00..... It's Black Friday ,weekend ,, and Bass Pro, only told me to wait a couple days for the sales to be over,that way they could do it the same day. I can do that. read more

I have been buying guns at Chuck's Gun and Pawn for about 25-30 years. On one occasion, I bought a Remington .45 semi-automatic pistol for about $800 and after I had it a couple days and found features that I didn't like and took it back to Chuck's unfired and in the box (new). They offered me $300 as a trade-in. Most recently, I bought a Kimber 9mm for $800. The weapon would not fire. I took it back to Chuck's Gun and Pawn and they offered to send it back to Kimber. I asked if I could trade it in for another gun and they told me "no." Eventually I got my money back, but the brothers that own Chuck's acted very ugly. I am done with Chuck's. As long as you are giving Chuck's money, everything is okay. If you have a problem, it gets ugly quick! I went down to Clyde Armory in Warner Robins and the staff was awesome and every gun was $50 cheaper. This is a second location for Clyde Armory, the main store is in Athens. read more
