I recently went to Chuck's to get my 9mm pistol cleaned. I normally clean it myself but since it was pretty dirty, I wanted to have it professionally cleaned. I called before had and asked if they cleaned pistols and the price. They did and the price was very reasonable. When I walked in, I was greeted and recognized by Chuck the owner. He recognized the brand from the case and my mentioning the brand. He was very pleasant and accommodating. While I enjoy cleaning my pistol, I'll probably let him do it again. One thing to say however when I read these other reviewers, there's stupid and there's dumb and I just don't see them putting up with either, so I can see where some of these reviewers are troubled. Whoever answers the phone (sounded on the younger side) is rude and demeaning. I called to inform them their FFL was out of date with a popular website, that I called the website and the site sent a FFL email to Chucks. The bastard responded that "if that had happened, the girl in the back (whatever misogyny that is) would've responded, buddy." I had been warned these were not good people but gave them a shot because the FFL rate was reasonable. Now, I'd rather pay $100 per firearm than grace this "business" with a single cent. read more

Owner is a bum and rude to people. Chuck sold me on a Holosun 510c dot sight. At the store I told him I was looking for a sight I could use with picatiny rail and also for my handgun so it needed to have a removable plate. Chuck quickly all's a big game on the 510c and it fit my needs. Well I get home and find it doesn't have a removable plate so I can only use with picatiny rail so I call him and he argues he never said it had a removable plate even though my wife gets on the speakerphone and says he did since she was there. FYI I later found out he sold me the 510c for $100 more than anywhere I can find in the internet. I'm a 3 tour Iraq/Afghanistan veteran Marine and trust me Chuck is an absolute scumbag. Price gouged and charged me $55 for a transfer fee. Also made me wait 5 days to pick up the gun when the law currently states that without a concealed weapons permit it is a 3 day waiting period excluding weekends and holidays (Even when I brought it up). Did NOT come off as helpful, friendly, or welcoming both Chuck and his wife. There are other dealers locally that actually care about building relationships with their customers, not these two. Pretty sure all of the good reviews to this place and made up and fake, just family or friends trying to make the place look good. If you own a business I would imagine you'd care about treating your clients well so they come back and use you. You guys clearly don't care about being profitable besides as I said in the beginning, price gouging unsuspecting customers is the only reason you're probably afloat. read more

I wanted to support this local business so I went in to purchase ammo. $40 for a box of 20 self defense 9mm ammo. Listen, even if it was inflated by 10-30%, I'd have no issue. My initial intent was to come here and support a local business in my community, being that I live in Jupiter. I purchased a 9 mm Ruger from here back in July for the sole purpose of a concealed carry. I am an avid gun Enthusiast with a Florida concealed weapons permit. Being that my Ruger only came with one clip I opted to order an additional with an extended nine round clip. I was told I would be contacted when it came in. After three weeks of not hearing anything I decided to stop in since I was only around the corner. I was given my nine round mag, however it ended up being defective so I had to bring it back. When I brought it back to Colleen (the wife) advised me that she would have to talk to her husband and he would have to contact me. I was a little taken back being that she's there running the store but did not know how to assist me, even afterI demonstrated to her that the mag was clearly defective. Again, I was told that I would be contacted but never received a call, so I decided to stop by the following week. I showed the owner the defective mag and demonstrated its capacity. So Chuck the owner ended up just ordering me additional seven round mag and told me he would call me when it comes in. I never received a phone call. It took from the end of July till the first week of October. During that time I stopped in there at least four times, And every time I was asked "did someone call you" ? finally on the last trip I was like "no that's exactly why am here". So it was clear Chuck never ordered it, and tried to give me a .380 mag lol. Finally he had to take a mag out of another ruger he had for sale on the shelf. I had paid $35 for the nine round clip, and that was the going price online but when I went and picked up my seven round mag Chuck only gave me two dollars back, and at the time that mag was also listed online at $22. When I asked about the price he was like "ohh we can't compete with the online prices" Cough um BS. I will never do business with this establishment again. They are rude, incompetent, and don't understand customer service. read more

They do not even deserve 1 star. I don't want anyone to go through what I just had to go through with the OWNER herself, and that's why I'm taking the time to write this review. They are incredibly RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and acted in a threatening and intimidating fashion while I was at their store today to pick up my CGA Tactical - CWL Certificate . Back story: In June I took the concealed weapons course at their store that is run by their son. I booked my spot the day before and was told to just show up and we could take care of everything when I showed up. The day of the class I showed up (drove from north Stuart) and was told I wasn't signed up for the class and it was full. After some back and forth they finally said I could sit in, but made it clear that they weren't happy about it. Once done they handed me my cert, but my name was printed wrong. Thankfully I caught the mistake, and asked for a new cert. This was now the SECOND cert they had to print because of their lack of attention to detail. I submitted my paperwork, and turns out they made an error PRINTING THE DATE! I followed up with the instructor (their son) who told me to come by on Monday 10/12/202. When I showed up, the store was CLOSED! Messaged the instructor again. Told us to come back today, 10/14/2020. When I showed up the store was still closed. It was 10:55am. The store sign says they open at 11am. By this time another customer had also pulled up and he told me they never open on time. When I told him this is the THIRD time they had to print my cert because of making mistakes, he told me he has had to take them to court in the past! By 11:10 the store was still closed. At this point, someone in a black Escalade pulls up next to my parked car. The woman who comes walking around the car I now recognize as the owner. She walks to my window and I lower it. She asks:" Are you the one here for the certificate?" And of course I respond 'yes' thinking she's going to run inside and quickly ratify their mistake PLUS making a customer wait. To my shock she goes OFF THE HANDLE yelling at me that I have no right to call and harass her SON (who GAVE US HIS NUMBER) and screaming and yelling that he (her son) is not the owner and if I have a problem I should call the store! I told her that not ONCE were we told we couldn't contact him. And btw, this was THEIR ERROR. Her response: 'So you don't make mistakes?' UM, WHAT?! Of course o do but I own up to them and they are a BUSINESS!!! At this poi t I grab my phone to start recording, so needless to say she starts behaving different and shuts her mouth, but she waves down a guy in a truck (turns out he works there) and he proceeds TO BLOCK ME IN FROM BEHIND. Now I'm blocked on my left and from behind, AND I have my two little girls with me who are beginning to get freaked out. The guy gets out of his car and walks over to the owner. She whispers she needs him to stick around and he says he's calling police. This was actually GREAT news because I WANTED the police to hear my side. They realized I wasn't going to be scared off. My husband calls me at this poi t to check that I'm ok, and this is right at the moment this guy says he's going to call the cops. My youngest daughter now is in full panic and is sobbing in the back. The guy turns to me and points his finger and says, 'she's crying because she's CRAZY and her mother is crazy!!' Thankfully my husband DID call 911. I get a phone call from Jupiter PD. I explain the situation and an officer showed up, followed by a second officer. Thankfully I was able to leave with my now corrected cert, but not after being yelled at, attempting to intimidate me, blocking me and my daughters in, threatening to call the cops on me and basically acting like a bunch of bullies. NEVER EVERRRE GOVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THESE PEOPLE. They act like Patriots and wear the shirts and wave the flags, but they are NOT a true representation of American patriots. read more

I've been trying to get information on some consignment items, several guns previously owned by my late father that I couldn't take with me. The shop seems nice enough, one gun was even bought there. But I feel like I'm being ignored because they know I'm not local. They say they see me in their system, but they don't have time to talk. Promised return calls never happen. I even manually checked my voicemail to make sure I didn't miss anything. After at least five calls, on weekdays because reportedly Saturdays are too busy, I've given up. All I asked for was a status update. I don't have time to spend hours chasing them down on the phone, and it would cost far more than the value of the guns to come do it in person. read more

Website quoted $25 for FFL transfer, even called to confirm, said $25 over the phone. Chucks brother Dave proceeded to charge $50 as he assumed I didn't know any better. He was a very arrogant and self centered guy. Payed it just to get out of there ASAP. Don't recommend going there for anything. Depending on what you look like and who's working (at least Dave) they will up charge you. He's a real POS to say the least. read more

I go into Chuck's all the time mostly looking at his used guns as I like old stuff. Never an issue and always fair with me. I've consigned guns in the past. His shop has new AR's, but he basically stocks Glocks and concealed weapons since that seems to be the trend these days. So a good spot in Jupiter to get the basics or do a transfer in or out. I see he does lots of Glock night sights and AR upgrades, but the they do not have a full gunsmith on site. I think the other reviewer should have given some slack on the P38 repair since that's completely out of his skillset. A couple of other things I've noticed is they do teach the concealed weapons class and have the class III license so they can handle NFA stuff. read more

I bought a new automatic from them a few days ago. The sales guy told me it was stainless steel. As we were wrapping up the deal, I pointed out to him that the factory box label indicates nickel. I pressed on the price a few times, and he did not reduce it. Later on, I checked the prices around. The price was fair for S/S, it's about $120 too much for nickel. These guys are everything you could want in a local family owned gun shop . There is a jag off review all butt hurt about their no CCW in store policy . His review said he never even went in . Well if he had he would have seen that since this place has tons of pistols you can help yourself to , maybe having a loaded magazine walk in off the street isn't safe . Maybe it's an insurance reason . All I knows this small yet robust family owned gun shop if really really great . Chuck , his son and everyone else on his staff was really knowledgeable and super helpful/ nice . They made fun of me for living in Los Angeles but I don't blame them .
