I was referred to this firm by a colleague of mine (a relative of his is a partner at the firm) for a criminal case involving my brother who's currently lying in Sandstone FCI prison in Minnesota. We went through three immoral lawyers that actually hurt my brother to help government prosecutors! I don't know if this was due to pressure or what, but regardless, the lawyers at this firm made it clear they would fulfill all our expectations and even offered to do some work to prove their loyalty from the beginning. My brother knows the legal issues of his case really well and we simply need that legal crutch from outside the prison to help give him that expert guidance and to refine the arguments my brother was trying to make. The lawyer team did all this and more. They also sympathized deeply with my brother's plight and it was clear from their actions (as well as other reviews I've read about them online) that they have a genuine concern for justice unlike most other lawyers who are just after the dollar. I do want to mention that much of the legal work was done remotely since they are based in Seattle and my brother is in Sandstone while I'm in Detroit. Late last year, I was thinking about investing in a private startup that was to be established in Seattle and, because the investment was small, the owner of the company wanted to avoid inserting my name on the company registration and just hold the shares for me under his own name. This involved a declaration of trust and some other legal procedures. I also wanted complete a due diligence report given by a legal expert. So I looked online and found Mr. Chung on Avvo.com. I hired him through Avvo after he answered some of my legal questions online and contacted me. I read some of the reviews of his firm (he's a partner) on Glassdoor and some other places so I decided to hire him. I'm definitely glad I did since he's gone out of his way to conduct a complete thorough examination of the company, both from a legal standpoint as well as others. The startup also planned to invest in some other countries (mainly China) so he got some other people on his team. After some initial negotiations and the investment I first made, I decided to become a part owner of the venture (according to the suggestions given by Mr. Chung and the rest of the team) and the enterprise has been fruitful thus far. We engaged with Edward Chung through our pre-paid legal program regarding an insurance dispute. We had experienced a flood and had relied on verbal approvals from our Claims Manager to proceed with work on our home. The insurance company packed out our entire house to replace the matching floors. Then delayed paying ServPro who would not return our belongings until the insurance paid for the pack out. We were without furniture and significant amounts of clothing for 4 months. When the insurance made their final payment towards the repairs, it was 40% of what was submitted and verbally approved. Mr Chung is not a fighter. He may know the law but he will talk a big game and will take your money without believing you can win. He likes to drag cases on and on. He withdrew from my case on a Thursday when I have court on Monday. He demands money threatens withdrawals and couldn't even provide an accurate billing history and was off by thousands. Not even sure if he has a billing department. Probably just does it himself on his kids computer. Don't believe him because he doesn't believe he will be able to win your case. read more
