I have been feeling like the enemy or the devil has been attacking me. And I've morning a lost from a relationship, my cars engine broke down on me, listening to family drama and I'm just like what did I do to deserve this. I am blessed enough to have friends to come and get me to take me to church, and I even walked back home after. Took me 3 and half hours to walk but I needed that. There was plenty of parking in the garage, come early especially since this Saturday they had this performance of the passion play. Great singing and performance by everyone. We took communion. I'm torn by the way I feel. I feel like there is an angel and a demon on my shoulders that tugging on my heart, mind and spirit. I want to do right. So god has it on my heart to lean on him while I am feeling so low. Not going to lie I miss my daughter so much.

But unfortunately, there is still the obnoxious man who feels the need to agree with everything the pastor says at the 11 am service on top of now multiple other people shouting in agreement whilst the pastor preaches. This is a no go for me (along with many other people I've spoken to) and for that reason we've all moved to watching service live at home. It's unfortunate, especially because no employees do anything to quiet people down. Sorry to break it to you but you're not having a one on one conversation with the pastor. He's preaching to 1100+ people. Please fix this Shepherd church team. I really want to go back to the days of walking into my beautiful church and hearing the pastor preach in person.

Long time ago I was a member for years, at the bottom, on the verge of living out of my car so I sought help from my church RP and specifically Mike Yearly who turned his back on several of us, several families...all members. When I went to see him, it felt as if evil from him was trying to drill a hole in me via his eyes. When several asked if we could pitch a tent just for a few days there Yearly said no and then asked how we would tithe. I kept my faith and God blessed me abundantly...found a church a short time later that welcomed me with open arms and even offered me a place to live. My situation now is completely abundant buying my own house, in fact several. After all those years I thought to try RP again hoping, praying the evil had left...it had not. They have greeters that act as if it's a job or a chore to greet, not an honest emotion to love people, love God's children. Rocky Peak has become a mega-church jr. with all the ritual distance from it's members especially those who income is not adequate. After many years asking God's help with loving regardless I tried going back for a bit to see what the Spirit had to teach me thinking/praying maybe perspectives had changed, but it still felt like it wasn't my Father's house and not a place where His beloved children could run and jump and play. In one of my revisits a couple outside afterward even said they were leaving RP becuae their faces got tired of smiling. Yearly quipped several times to me on the side way back then he couldn't wait until his contract with the church was up. A pastor loves his flock regardless of their status and finds joy in being with them..this is NOT Rocky Peak or it's lead pastor.

The people are friendly and welcoming. The congregation is small and diverse. Pastor John W. Polite III church sermons are clear, concise, direct and inspirational. The Worship is great. Also the mid week Bible studies are a great way to get to know the people and most of all to dig deeper in the Word of God. I highly recommend visiting this church.
