We recently went to the Point of Rocks library to use the Memory Lab (which is a very nice service that the library offers) to use the equipment and digitize some videos. The librarians and the volunteer who helped us went above and beyond to make sure that everything worked well. We really appreciate everything that FCPL has to offer!!

Waited forever there until finally a bus pulled up. Phew I thought. Finally! However the driver of bus blew his horn a good 30 ft behind me , so far that I didn't even know it was me he was blowing at and he refused to pull the bus in until I moved my car! I've been to two events here in the last few months and I hope the owner extends this space beyond July as their website states. What started as a burned-down building in need of repair was turned into an amazing outdoor space that feels natural, intimate and inviting for small events. From comedy to poetry readings, yoga, to art - this space is really special and if you're in the Frederick area it's worth checking out. There's plenty of free or low-cost parking nearby and it's also around the corner from great restaurants and Carroll Creek so the location couldn't be better.

I think having the nicer mobile bathrooms that a lot of outdoor wedding venues use would add so much functionality to the space.

I understand development happens so seeing a lot of backyards of houses, development centers, and more modern town- it is what it is- but for a next experience I would like to find a ride that offers more scenic experience & a bit more variety in the ride I was also a bit disappointed with the kid's Santa's gift- the advertisement came off like the gift was a bell (reminiscent of Polar Express), but the kids were gifted some sticker create a train kit- it really wasn't a universal gift for all ages- both my kids weren't old enough to understand what it was, so basically I put the gift together-they said cool & moved on- it would have been nicer to have something more rewarding from Santa.

Francis Scott Key Mall is one of the former. Somehow this mall is thriving with some well established national brands and a surprise or two. This is a single level mall that I had the chance to visit twice over the past few months while travelling back and through the area. I took it as a point where I was either almost there or just outside of the busy areas. Anchor stores are what you think it would be with one of the surprises mixed in. This mall just happens to still have a Sears as an anchor store. But not only a Sears, a JCPenney. Two stores that have left malls in droves the past copy of years. It is just so odd to see. This is an easy mall to get through but also an easy mall to get lost in. I can see this a one stop shop for items for birthdays or the holidays. However, I don't see it being a destination shopping area for those from outside the area.

They have something for everyone in terms of the stores, restaurants, and various other things in this section. Frederick really does have a little bit of everything because there's so much space to build out here and with the addition of Firebirds and a few other places it just really shines and it's great for locals and those who don't mind traveling a few minutes to enjoy the place they were looking for. It's always clean here and there are rarely any crazy things happening. It's also great in the summer time if you want to walk around or enjoy the outdoors. There's always great service at the stores and restaurants here. Good value for what you get in terms of money and convenience. Things are decently priced given the current state of things. There's always room for improvement, but this space is on the right track.

The other side buts up to bustling East Patrick Street where some awesome businesses live. A great record shop, the bagel shop (think it's called bagels and cofee), the delicious Thai Place: Summita, Cafe Nola, Dancing Bear Toys and Gifts... I can just keep on going. There's a great little antique store right there. Anyways, it's one of those garage that you get a ticket when you enter and then you pay the ticket before you leave. The only improvement they could make would be to have more ticket paying stations. I think there's two on the ground floor and ... to my recollection, that's about it. It's cheap to park there, it's in the middle of everything, and I've never had a real issue finding a space. It's one of those garages where you just keep ramping up up up or down down down, which makes it not as confusing. Although, if you want to turn around and there are no spaces... that's a bit difficult. But this is kind of my go to garage if there is no street parking, or if I'm staying longer than 2 hours :) Which is often. Interesting fact: there are public restrooms in the garage.
