The Crystal Leisure Centre is known for its water features, Jacuzzi, pool, waterfall, current streams and SLIDES. But it also has a gym and tennis court. I know you don't care about that though, its all about the water slides and waterfalls. The only down side of this is that the place is quite small and it had kids running rampant all over the place, seriously annoying when I'm trying to get mad speed down the big twisty yellow slide.

The guided tour of the house was informal and informative, the rooms are in there original decor the only alterations that have been made are for health and safety reasons and you wouldnt notice if not shown. William Morris wallpaper and textiles William de Morgan tiles its an alladins cave of treasures. The gardens are well kept , and very pretty . There if a tiny tearoom where i had the best sandwich ,ever stilton and apple yum.The National Trust maintain this property but the family still keeps a flat in the house for their own use. Lovely walk around the grounds, lovely walled garden - enjoyed seeing what they were growing. Had a lovely play area. The manor was extraordinary, such beautiful rooms and decor. So lavish. The parkland is extensive and there's a good mixture of woodland and open parkland to explore. Waymarked paths keep you on track. There is a deer park. The walled garden is currently being reconstructed but is already looking great. There is a children's play park which is wheelchair friendly too. It's themed around farming which adds to the interest. Suited to children from toddlers though to about 8. The park is currently the site of a modern art installation exhibition with some interesting creations dotted around the site. Toilet facilities are clean and the cafe offers basic but good food in a mansion house setting (you eat within the building). A basic children's menu is available which is smaller portions of adult meals (save for a picnic box). There is a second hand book shop and seasonal sales of plants. Recommended for a good family day out.

It has been transformed over the years with lots of new accommodations the old bar has been done away with to make way for a new reception and cafe area. That area is lighter and brighter than it used to be, so a big plus there. Lilleshall is HQ for a number of sports and associated organisations, thing medical and sport science. There are a number of good quality facilities available, from the numerous football, rugby pitches, archer areas, basketball facilities, general sports hall areas, cricket, gymnastics, disability sports areas and so the list goes on, it's a very long list! They also provide spaces for conferences alongside the refurbished rooms which are available it's a good venue for corroborates to use. The ground staff are very helpful, even when they do not have what you want they are willing to make what you need, which is a nice and very appreciated touch! I've only gone four stars as I know there are better facilities out there but this is still a very good one the bit that lets it down is the poor phone reception at the venue, they have improved the wifi no end they just need to work on phone reception!!
