There's also plenty of room for the circuits in the aerobics room. (I do Claire's circuits - you do the same if you want to get trained hard!) There's loads of outdoor space. There's the Wolverhampton indoor football training facility, outdoor grass football pitches, outdoor astro football pitches, tennis courts, cycle track, running track and a field in the middle of that for everything else! There's probably a lot more that I'm forgetting, too! No swimming pool though. Plenty of places to park.

I went to Wolverhampton Swimming and Fitness Centre for Aqua fit…read moresession for 8pm.  During the class, my locker was broken into and my valuables were stolen which included my car keys, purse, bank cards, house keys, mobile phone and clothes.  The whole bag was taken from the above locker which someone smashed the plastic panel in between the lockers and pulled my bag out.  My car was stolen and my credit and debit cards were used at Tesco Express petrol station and Co-op nearby around 8.30pm   I found the customer service at the gym terrible. I thought they would have offered me a private room to sit, but I was standing in the reception with my swimsuit and towel wrapped around me, while public were walking past me. I went to look for my car in the heavy rain, and a couple of staff members helped but I knew it had been stolen.  The public were more supportive than the staff.  The manager was a young girl. I kept telling her to ring the police and she stood there with her phone and saying she can't get through to them and did not bother to proceed with the call. She did not even dial 999 only 101. My husband arrives and picked me up and we rang the police ourselves and got through straightaway.  The staff didn't seem that bothered which made me suspicious with their actions. The duty manager rang 101 but was on the phone for half an hour to them and said had no joy.  The 101-phone call lasts less than 5 minutes. They should be compensating me for my valuables and my car because it is your staffs and sites responsibility to provide a duty of care, security and safety.  Also, today 01/10/21 the police viewed the CCTV with staff and they found the culprits on CCTV.   But on 30/09/21 the female duty manager rang (approx. 6pm) and said that operational manager had viewed the CCTV and there was nothing on there.  How can the Operations manager not find anything on the CCTV, yet the duty manager could. Also, one of your staff has lets these criminals on site, how can this be? Surely, they would need membership or at least sign in. It is obvious that they have not done their job properly. I am totally disgusted in how everything was dealt with.

When putting together a Weekly Yelp on fun things to do in the city, I spotted Mohamade A's review of this place and bookmarked it for something new to do on a Sunday. After a mad Friday night and busy Saturday, I just wanted to get out of house and do something fun (but not too intensive). Mini golf seemed to be the perfect low energy, silly activity for me and Dan to enjoy. First thing to note, Star City can be accessed by bus but offers plentiful free parking if you plan on driving. I haven't been here in a few years and was surprised to see quite a few newer businesses here (including at least a couple of independents). Adventure Island is at the front of the building and easy to spot with it's clear signage. As we had to get to the supermarket before it closed (ROCK'N'ROLL), we opted to do 18 holes instead of the full course. There are two different courses to choose from and you can do one for £6.45, the full 36 for £10.95 or there are combo deals for bowling and lazer tag as well. We decided on the "Lost Hut Trail" and off we went! Thus proceeded 45 minutes of frustration, fun and giggles around the course. In retrospect, we wish we had done both or opted for the "Hidden Cove" course (which boasts a volcano in the middle), but we will be back to try this at some point. It's of note that the venue has a bar (for golf/beer times) and does a 2-4-1 offer on a Wednesday. It would make a fun place for a date or a birthday party. Yeah, it's not high brow entertainment... but if you want to challenge someone to a duel - there are worse ways than with a miniture putter and a brightly coloured plastic ball. Recommended.

Most of the reception staff are friendly but the life guards are totally power mad, some of the ways they speak to the young children is out of order. On a positive note the water is clean and very clear. It's just such a shame because it could be nice but as it stands visiting with my 7 year old daughter is never a pleasant experience and I am forced to send her off into the female changing rooms alone as she was mortified by how many penises she saw in the space of 1h.

The shower situation really gets me cross the showers are limited and people are going in them to have dare I say it there weekly wash they are in there for ages and ignore the fact there is a que were we are getting cold after swimming it needs staff to come in and move them along or let us use the men's while they are not being used.

For a little place, they've actually got quite a lot on here…read more The pool, it's small, but you don't need a huge one if you're just doing lengths (and the number of lengths you do always sounds more impressive with less effort, haha!) it has lessons, scuba and snorkelling sessions, adult only swims, women only swims, early birds, aquarobics and the ability for kids parties, with or without the big inflatable. The changing rooms have recently been redone, which is far better. In the main building, there is a reasonably sized sports hall, a reasonably kitted out gym, a toning suite, and a spin room. The gym kit is nicely varied, the only thing they really lack as with most small gyms is the heavier weights. The sports hall hosts classes such as circuits, pilates, yoga, martial arts etc etc. You can have a membership, or pay for one off entries and classes.

Wrexham Waterworld has a lot of facilities packed into a relatively small building…read more It has one main pool, a 'baby' pool, and a toddler/younger pool. The swimming area also consists of a viewers seating area, a slide, and a 'rapids' area. Swimming lessons are also available, as well as options such as 'ladies only' night. Waterworld also has a fully-equipped gym with changing rooms and showering facilities. The gym currently uses the TechnoGym products, and all are in great condition. The gym isn't huge, but caters for everybody, and all staff are helpful and friendly. There is also a studio where exercise classes take place. Classes are very varied, from yoga to dance, and all instructors are friendly and helpful. Something to suit all tastes. When not exercising, Waterworld also have a cafe just inside at the reception area. This is a great local facility, and if the changing rooms were a little more loved, updated, cleaner, and tidier, I would have no hesitation to give Waterworld 5 out of 5.

A badminton coach was also promised. After paying it turns out the tennis coach, badminton coach, the first PT, the second PT, the head of PT have all left within 2 weeks. That's 5 people- how is this normal? First session was form filling for 45 mins. Second the guy had a family emergency and we turned up for no reason. Third ( shockingly!) also had a fam emergency and we turned up at 730am for no reason to be turned back around. Third one was the worst- Aggressive woman PT Maya Makluka. She wasn't there when I came in. Went looking and found her strolling in a different part of the gym she asked me to go back and wait. She came down 10 mins later and brought a form out. First question she asked was 'is this a free session?!' I said we paid joining fee for this. I also told her we have already wasted a session filling out forms with the first PT. She said she hasn't spoken to this PT. I said but my form should still be here she said there are no systems and I need to get my form from (her ex colleague who's left!). She spoke extremely rudely and aggressively and was shockingly unprofessional I couldn't believe it was really happening. Finally SHE fumed off after this. Literally ran to the front desk before I could reach to complain- I then spoke to the general manager who said the pt has come in to her office in tears ( lol the fake clown) and been with them for years (2) so can't be wrong. She would get dean who works for her to call me. The general manager has apparently joined 6 months ago and has already had her mind made up. Awful customer service at reception, you pay so much money to be treated like , the gyms been refurbished but it's still horrible no AC, the lady locker rooms are disgusting!, My wife hates it!! Anyone is allowed in when they're not on a membership as certain staff members let their own people in for free causing disagreements and noise in the gym. They quality and reputation of DL has just disappeared, it now seems like an ordinary gym with extremely high prices. I have left DL shady lane after 10years because there is not point paying so much for a service that is bad. All good reviews are from staff members and there relatives they make it out like they're a good gym when they aren't - an insider actually told me this! Please reconsider, your working team represnting David Lloyds as they are not keeping up a good reputation. I could name individual staff members who I can see have been mentioned in other reviews aswell so it must not be nothing new as they must be constantly disrespectful and think they own David Lloyds themselves, they must be reminded they are here to serve the customers and don't actually have shares in the business no remorse is shown if anything at times I do think racial profiling but others get the same treatment. An oldish lady who was at reception desk today andra or something like that absolutely disrespectful no help just laughing. Gym has gone complete terrible, they've signed up way to many members and can't even provide a good enough service, some staff should consider resigning and whoever actually is in charge of the club should change the staff and improve its facilities.

This is a natural attraction for all kinds of wildlife. There's a visitor centre manned by friendly and knowledgeable staff who take pride in their work. There's a Ranger Service too which is always on hand to help with education. Get children involved early with the Plantsbrook Young Explorers club which meet every third Saturday of the month, it's for 7 - 11 year olds and membership is absolutely free. Of course this area is used by the usual dog-walkers, joggers, strollers and so on but my advice when you pay a visit is to get involved, ask the staff about stuff, you'll be surprised what you learn.
