I'm giving 3 stars because, while the hotel does have a private parking structure, they had NO spots available for us! They sent us to a public parking garage with a "voucher" that supposedly gives you a discount but the parking there ended up being over 17gbp for less than 12 hours if parking! Also, we were forced to book a "twin" room and were led to believe we'd be able to push our beds together, but this is not the case with their twin rooms...which really bummed us out bc it was our honeymoon! And we asked for extra cream and sugar for the coffees which they promptly provided, but the cream was discolored and clotted!

I'm not sure what happened to their room, or what their expectations were with regards to room size, but this is NOT a luxury b&b. For something like $50-60 a night, you get a clean, comfortable room with a private bathroom. Yes, the room is small. Yes, the stairs are narrow. Yes, the shower lacks some water pressure (although they seem to be working on it). But recognize that you are staying at a b&b and paying $50 a night. Not a luxury hotel at $150-200/night. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable. You can specify what breakfast food you like for the morning (eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, beans, etc) and a hot breakfast will be served to you between 8:30-9 am. I had no issues with checking in and the hosts were there to show me my room and make sure I was okay. Bed was comfortable. The toilet flushed after I violated it. All was well. 10/10 would recommend.

The rooms are a reasonable size and have en-suite bathrooms. The owners are friendly and welcoming and are very accommodating. Each day you get to decide what you would like for breakfast the following morning and put your order on a sheet left in the hall. They are very flexible and willing to swap out items. The first morning I opted for scrambled egg on toast and the second a full English with vegetarian sausage, they were both very tasty. There is also a good selection of yoghurts, fruit and cereals and they will bring you brown, white or a mixture of toast. Would definitely recommend

The location was great once you knew the little byways and alleys to take that made it a breeze to get into town or to the train station. The only downside was that the bed wasn't the greatest. It was too short for my husband (he's only 5'10) and was too soft for the two of us to share it comfortably (we tended to just roll towards the center). It wasn't a major problem for us since we were only there for one night, but a longer stay would have made it really uncomfortable. For a single traveler, though, it likely wouldn't have been an issue.

The only draw back is that it only has one tiny elevator which holds up to 5 people. So...if you can't take the stairs, just be patient. Also, there was live music 9:00 pm-11:00pm.It's really loud so if you are not a light owl you should request to be on the other side of the hotel.

They have cereal, breads, wafers, english breakfast, yogurt, nice coffee machine with different coffee types to choose from (plus hot chocolate), some juice selection, and a variety of tea. There's a lot of tourists staying in this hotel though so you better go to breakfast early to get a seat. The room doesn't have a refrigerator but you can ask for ice at the front desk. You can also request for a bath mat since the shower floor is a little slippery. You also need to bring conditioner if you use one since theirs was watered down and they didn't refill their lotion bottle too. For people with babies, a crib can be requested too. The room size was a bit small though. If you want to have your room cleaned, you have to tell the front desk.
