Turned their backa on us when beg to come back to church and family group. Because an autistic child could not wear the face bandage. Literally took a vote to not allow us to attend because od mandate. An immune compromised family with 3 co morbilities was told to fend for themselves. Yet as soon as the masks mandates were removed we were told we were alowed back. Real Christianity that follows the bible its not

This church acts and conducts itself as the body of Christ should, by being real with each other, sharing others' burdens, and not trying to be flashier than they are. St Thomas More is a small southend Catholic parish that hosts a fish fry every Friday through lent…read more Church volunteers hand cut and fry a delicious white fish sandwich served on white or rye bread. A one piece sandwich for $8 and a 2 piece for a few dollars more. They also have rolled osyters, pizza, baked fish on rice and multiple sides including french fries, onion rings, hush puppies, mac and cheese, cole slaw. They have a cake wheel and sell can beer. It is very family friendly atmosphere located on 3rd Street in the cafeteria. Plenty of church parking. You walk down the ramp into the cafeteria where the fish fry is held. Excellent food and s 50 + year tradition of hosting lenten fish fries.

Signage is great, you come down into a well lit basement where you get in one line to pay, one line to give your order to the folks in the kitchen area and one to pick up. My only gripe is that I came specifically for the oysters and from the minute we walked into the room there was drama surrounding it. Either the oysters were so popular they sold as fast as they were making them or someone wasnt cooking enough or fast enough. I'm glad I didn't opt to wait because there was a lady in front of me in line who only got her order as I was done eating. Anyway, I got the Small fish sandwich on rye (which was actually a huge piece of fish, I cant imagine what the large looked like). Then my friends and I got a bunch of other stuff to share, such as the mac and cheese, fries, onion rings and pizza. Had that pizza been square cut instead of triangle, it would have immediately brought me back to elementary school, it was your typical school lunch pizza, which to me is great, I should have bought my own piece! The other sides were good, average but good. Pricing is amazing, you can eat very well for around $10-$12 dollars and the people watching is epic, so thats a bonus.
