Not what we expected! The name, to us, implied a Brazilian steak house, and we were hungry. What we found was something completely different and absolutely amazing. Intimate, beautiful and serene is how I would describe this place on the inside there is outside seating but it was wet and cold. We didn't have reservations, but they did have a seating right then, so we took it It appears they did Sushi and specialty meats served by the smallest portion at a not so small price. It was expensive, but I will tell you, absolutely with every penny. We started with sushi and a carpachio roll both were amazing beef sushi, who knew?! I'd do that again in a heartbeat. I had the lamb, and normally lamb has a slight gamey flavor, it's unique. This lamb, I don't know what they did to it, but it was NOT at all gamey, it was perfect in every way. Succulent! Walked in without a reservation and we were told that every table has been taken and has been reserved. We were then given the menu perhaps to see if we can afford their prices. We were then given a table at the very back of the restaurant, perhaps the smoking area since it was open air. We ordered from the menu and was amazed by the food and taste of the steak. Phenomenal- if you're looking for an incredible gastronomic adventure, definitely stop here.

It's hard to impress an American when it comes to steakhouses. And as might be expected, I have some beef with this place. It's called Churrasco, so it's supposed to be Argentinean, but I think the concept is a little confused. The only thing Argentinean on the menu are the chimichurri, empanadas and maybe the chorizo, everything else follows the line more so of an American concept or something else altogether - grilled tuna steak, scallops, Caesar salad, US dry-aged beef and the sides: corn on the cob, baked potato etc. I just think they should stick to their concept. I don't know why you can't just do one thing really good. It's confusing. They don't even have some of the best Argentinean cuts!! Where's the skirt steak?? Flank? Ribs? So, I ordered the US ribeye (medium rare). And it came medium rare. +! It was however, a little dry, meaning it was probably less prime (less marbled). By itself (no sides), it was 50 CHF for only 250g!! For this price, I would at least expect one side to be included. The steak wasn't seasoned at all, and there wasn't any salt and pepper on our table. :-( And it wasn't super hot. At many steakhouses in America, it comes out smoking on a 500 degree platter. Oh well, Like I said... Hard to impress me, but it was OK. The scallops were cold and the avocado served with them was old, mushy; almost rancid. The carpaccio was a disaster. Hardly any olive oil was visible. The lemon was squeezed, seeds and all on the beef before it was brought out. Too much lemon. The point is to taste the raw beef, not mask it. Had to spit out about 5 lemon seeds. And it was way too thinly sliced. Upon entering, we were seated immediately thanks to our reservation, but on the way to our table, the maître d' stopped at the kitchen with us in tow to yell at the cook. Awkward and unprofessional. It took 15 minutes for them to come to take our drink order. They were friendly, but it's always a pain in the ass to try getting servers' attention to get a new beer or some more bread. Shouldn't they be watching for these things? Seating was tight, but it doesn't bother me so much. They played music! I love that. And it was alive with chatter. Loud! I love that too. Bottom line: Not impressed at all. read more

Never... Never in my life nobody kicked me out from the table in any country. I even haven't finished my drink, how the manager Alen taking away a plate with the desert told me that i have left 10 minutes be at the restaurant... As that for real??? What did I , was sitting for free. Look at my bill for one person... unbelievable!!! All that I enjoyed from food and drinks just everything went to the trash. Great dining experience. Server recommended Argentinian steak platter. Fresh mixed vegetable salad to start. Platter consisted of three perfectly cooked medallions accompanied by a rosemary potato side. Located in a wonderful part of Zurich. My dad had a steak, I can't remember which and I had a burger. It was quiet early in the evening and service was fast. Food was great. Their choices of sauces are quiet interesting as well. Had a terrible experience with the service and only mediocre experience with the food. Server was curt, slow and difficult to call over. An English mistake on the English menu caused me to order an extremely overpriced steak- I never would have ordered it if I had known. Even before I got the bill, my boyfriend and I commented on how the steak was only so-so. The table shook I had to use so much effort to cut it. My boyfriend's burger was simply uninspiring. Shocked by the bill when I received it, I asked the waiter to explain. When I told him the English was incorrect, he could have cared less and immediately expected payment. When I attempted to reason with him, he was absurdly condescending and expected I should know customary pricing for these types of steaks in Zurich despite it being my first day there. When we asked for a manager, he sent over his friend- another waiter. We again asked for the manager, and our waiter loudly talked about me in Swiss German right next to me and stared me down every time he walked past me. Manager was equally unwilling to accept any part in the communication error. I agreed I should have asked about the bizarre English and was willing to pay more than what I had originally expected, but I asked if there was any way I could get some kind of a reduction. Manager refused and wouldn't even give me a measly, symbolic 5 CHF off as a recognition of their portion of the responsibility. To top it all off, I had to deal with the constant smell of smoke escaping their smoke room during the entire meal. Terrible service aside, the food is way overpriced for the quality. read more

Service was good, food decent but not wow good. Very pricey I thought. A salad, a starter and a medium priced entree for one was $100 Swiss Francs with no alcohol. However I am learning that nothing is cheap in Zurich. Overall the experience was fine but I would probably not make a point to go here again. read more
