In my opinion, the work done by this group entailed inexcusable performance as they hacked shrubbery and left piles of cut branches all over my beautiful property. I asked about the piles of mess and they indicated their plan to simply leave the piles. The surveyor argued with me and insulted me. I think I might have to believe in unicorns again. Fast, professional, AND affordable! I needed to get a land survey done because my neighbor's land seemed to be expanding while mine disappeared. I called around and, when I did actually receive a call back from another company, was given a $350 price quote (which is the standard for my size lot so it didn't raise my hackles or anything). They also told me that they didn't put in rebar (I'd asked for rebar markers to be put in, in case I put in a fence along the property line) but for another $100, they'd STAKE the boundaries... really? That wasn't included? That (and their less than professional looking proposal sheet) screamed red flag to me so I tried other companies. Since I had such difficulties in getting a residential land surveyor to put in rebar, I began calling contractors who specialized in bigger, more commercial projects. Most of them acted like I was a beggar trying to touch royalty. They don't handle small projects like that. Click. Then I stumbled across CHW. By this point I really didn't expect to receive a positive answer much less a welcoming one, when lo and behold the receptionist astounds me with a pleasant affirmative. I don't really remember the actual contents of my conversation or with whom because I believe I was still in a state of shock. But I do remember that the people I spoke with were both kind and professional. They needed to look up my property and would call me back. The response was quick and surprising. They gave me a price quote of $300 WITH rebar. And they could do it within the week!! Wow! When I received their proposal/contract, I felt even more confident that I found a solid company. Professional and explicit. They put in the rebar markers and staked my property so quickly and efficiently I was still waiting for them to start before I realized it was done.
