After thorough research and estimates from multiple companies (5) we decided on Godwin. Chris was thorough and patient in answering our myriad of questions about our BEAST of a roof - 12/12 pitch - basically a 3 story chalet. Chris has a team that has been together for years and it shows - they just got to work and got the work done. Henny - the on-site supervisor was incredible at communicating with us and helping us pick the right location for our new solar-tube. Even with the steepness of the pitch, size of the roof and 3 elevation changes, Chris, Henny and team finished the job in 2 days. Chris called the Friday before the Monday start and walked me through the process for about an hour, every single question we had was answered. He cared about our driveway, gave advice on yard items to remove and even the dumpster location. Stellar customer service. Customer service before, during and after the roof installation was outstanding. All promises were kept and we were given honest expectations and advice. The company owner is your contact person throughout the process, no middle person or sales people, and he was responsive to my many texts and phone calls. The workers showed up on time, worked continuously (except for lunch of course), were respectful of us and our property, and cleaned up their mess. Godwin roofing and the manager Chris have done a greet job replacing our roof , a team of expert workers started at 7 am and finished it at 2 pm , we left the house to go to our friend's house , when we came back to check and pick up some stuff from the house the whole area was empty we have a big house and I thought they went for a break or something then realized the workers and their supervisor all gone with all the machinery and equipment, it was a big surprise and relief ,I still can't believe it our friend were amazed too , I have seen many reroofing in our area which took many days but this company which I never met the contractor or owner, Chris in person did very extraordinary job for us , since then we had couple of tender storms , roof is fine .Thanks Godwin roofing read more

Excellent work. I had estimates and quotes from several different companies and chose Godwin Green. they understood the needs of my roof very well. It was a large project, with solar panels to follow the new roof, but from the beginning they were able to schedule it and meet their own accurately estimate, schedule, and keep me informed through the entire process. That's unheard of in this industry and certainly contributes to the quality of work they deliver. Poor workmanship. Zero rating for customer service. We live outside of Florida but maintained a house in Gainesville. We had Godwin installed our new roof couple of months ago. I visited our house this July which was unusually rainy with thunderstorm almost everyday. And this is when I noticed the new drip edge was not properly installed. So I contacted Chris the grandson and who is now running the business. I informed him of the unfortunate situation. I did not hear from him again after I reported. I left messages several times, texted him and sent him pictures. I did not hear from Chris even after several distress calls. At that same time I was having my sofitts repaired and with the way the dripped edge was installef it will definitely affect my new sofitts. Up until now I heard nothing from Chris. The contract with Godwin include workmanship. Up until this time this agreement in writing is not being HONORED. I will never ever trust Godwin! read more

I recently purchased a new metal roof from Godwin Green, and this roofing company was the right choice for my family and me. The owner was professional, and his crew were very attentive, respectful, and knoweldgeable (out of the crew, I especially liked Frank--the crew leader). I got estimates from other roofing companies. Other companies I felt only saw my roof as a job (to me, of course, it is thousands of dollars and my house and family's well-being on the line). However, I got the sense from Godwin Green's owner and crew that they viewed this project with sincerity, while keeping what was best for my roof and the bottom line in mind.
