I was able to navigate fairly easily for the most part, however it seems the closer you get to your destination it's easier to get confused or lost. I adored the astronaut cow near the IAH entrance and the big photo-op letters! The quirky cowboy aesthetic was phenomenal. I arrived during the World Cup so the airport had plenty of soccer mannequins and memorabilia. Gift shops had space suits and Astros merch. The gentlemen at the shuttle/rideshare area were so nice! They gave me thorough directions on where to locate The Parking Spot shuttle. Additionally, when I returned a few days later for departure I had a favorable experience with a Clear TSA agent, she was very polite and helpful. I never have heartwarming experiences with TSA, I did here! She walked me through the fast lane process and brought levity to a stressful environment for many. Seats are comfortable in the terminals, bathrooms could be cleaner. I saw some trash on the floor in the men's restroom.

This time I was on a connecting flight on my way to Dallas. IAH is a United hub. Terminal C. is clean and bright. It has window to floor windows. They also have chargers on every table for your electronics. Vida Taqueria, Cibo Express, BamBam, Sunglass Hut, Jo Malone, Wendy's, Pick Stix, Potbelly and Neapolitan Pizza are all located at Terminal C.

Arriving from Cali into Bush airport terminal E was a smooth and quick experience, especially since…read moreI only had a carry-on with no check bags. once we landed , the walk through exit door were automatic and easy to navigate, leading directly towards the arid al pickup area and bus shuttle connections. Everything seem straightforward, and I didn't have to deal with baggage claim delays, which made getting out much faster. The signage was clear enough to follow without confusion, and the flow from the gate to ground transportation was pretty effcient even with other passengers arriving at the same time. Overall a simple and easy arrival back into Houston through terminal E. I would love to get this terminal each time I arrive home. Could be because we had a light passage haul even though we were on a larger craft.

Wow. I haven't flown out of IAH terminal A in several years! Much to…read moremy surprise there were some notable changes. In the lower gate A numbers (A1-A15) they now have 2 new eating restaurants. In addition to the Breakfast Klub (southern breakfast/brunch food), they now have Simone Biles Taste of Gold (American, cocktails) & El Tiempo Cantina (Mexican, cocktails). I'm pretty sure they changed out a few of the fast food restaurants but I honestly didn't look at those. They had live music in the center near Breakfast Klub, in the area they call "Symphony in the Air". The live saxophonist & drummer sounded really great. Another change was the exit to baggage claim. It was surprisingly a much longer walk! From the lower A gates you now must walk all the way around toward the higher gates to get to the baggage claim exit. Its about a 5 min walk to get to the baggage exit/escalators. During this walk through the connector hallway of the lower & higher A gates, there is an Art display area called "Houston Airport Artist in Residence (AIR)". The display from local artist is wonderful to see. The enhancements for terminal A are good. Previously, it always felt like one of the more neglected terminals. I know IAH still has a lot of construction underway. I look forward to seeing additional airport improvements.

I arrived mid-afternoon, they must've timed the flights out right! I hate when I arrive to an airport and there's loads of people waiting to board my flight and watching us as we exit the plane. Not here, it was calm and relatively relaxed. Again, I'm only talking about my arrival terminal at the time (the rest of the airport is massive and always busy).

A layover brought us back here and it was quiet and not crowded for a Saturday, early evening. As far as US airports go, this was a nice change and a pleasure to fly through. Connecting international flights take extra time to go through passport control, immigration, and recheck bags. Allow extra time for connecting flights. Only downside, hence a deduction of a point is somehow my neck pillow was either stolen or thrown away after going through the security machine. Although there are cameras everywhere, they couldn't find it. All in a matter of minutes. At least all my important items were still there.

I was here a month ago and wires and AC ducts were hanging out of the ceiling. Since, it is like a heck of an upgraded remodel! Terminal D has always been the worst and I guess they took that into consideration for this upgrade to a proper international terminal. It is not finished and they are still working on the proper international gates. Terminal D went from worse to first or close to C1 - C15, the current best. I spoke to the United agent and she said this has only been "finished" for about a week. I didn't deduct three points for the ongoing parking and train mess out front. Please note it continues to be a huge mess and the airport authority has no clue. This isn't being managed well. IAH has more land than almost any other airport. Why don't they use it an establish a train to get to terminals. This is silliness.

Frontier may have made it a headache and a half dropping my bag off this morning (my gate was D7,…read morebut I needed to go to Terminal A to check in my $69 40lb limit bag...), but thankfully, Terminal D restrooms are much cleaner and up to date than those in Terminal A. Also, Terminal D departure signage can be a more prominent. It's very easy to miss. However, the art work is beautiful and makes for a scenic walk from gate to gate. The skytrain here is much more up to date than the subway, which feels like creeping doom and gloom, but it beats walking uphill 23 min from Terminal D/E to Terminal A.

Holy moly, traffic leading into Terminal D Departures is bad on Thanksgiving weekend. Took at least…read more15 minutes higher than the Google Map estimate to make it to the entry. Flying Air France - they've got only two bag drop lines and four Sky Priority lines. No machine for bag drop, have to go through an agent so have your boarding pass and passport ready. There is a Pre-check line, and a fast lane for Sky Priority and other high status members. However, even for Pre-check, the scanners are antiquated and you need to remove electronics. I got through security with no issues within 13 minutes, so without Pre-check it might take 20-30. The people handling the bags through the security scanner are not gentle. I left a backpack pocket open and as they tossed the bin, my phone and wallet literally flew out. I also heard my laptop literally bounce in the bin as they tossed it back down. Inside the terminal itself, it is quite nice. There are some comfortable loungers outside the D gates. The KLM Crown Lounge is near D15 and the Air France lounge is down towards D18. Overall, not a great terminal experience to get to and get through.

Nice there was no line compared to Minneapolis TSA wait of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Here you remove…read moreyour shoes. I left my belt on, and xray machine triggered something by my groin area. I removed the belt, pulled my pants up high and needed to be scanned again. I needed a pat down. Of course, nothing was found. In Minneapolis, you just walk through, even with a belt on. Then I had some seasoning rub sealed in my carry on. These TSA agents I thought were going to confiscate it. They opened it and tested it. Of course, it was negative for drugs. I get that they need to do their jobs, but WTF. Review 52 in 2023.
