On Friday, Dec 16, 2022, I received a call from Christine Lore (sp?), the Managing Director of Ciccarelli Law Offices. She left a vm, and I returned her call within 5 minutes. The call from Christine became upsetting and was ended after12 minutes. Just WOW. I hired an attorney with Ciccarelli Law Offices to perform an elective, and, predominately, paperwork intensive process. The referenced Oct 2021 timeline pertains to the completed first step of a two-step process that I initiated with Cicarrelli Law Offices a few years prior. Before Oct 28, 2021, specifically, my experiences were positive - however, I have real-time emails dated afterward that reference issues stated in my review. It is wholly unclear why it was suggested that I wrote a review "years after" the completion of my case - when on Dec 16, 2022 I received an email from my attorney informing me the second (and final) component of the process had just been completed?? First, let me preface this by stating that I love giving credit where it is due, and try hard to write only really positive reviews. As a local small business owner myself, I can certainly appreciate the power of any review. When I have a negative experience, I ALWAYS try to speak with the business owner and allow them to make things right before I would ever post something negative. So, I am sitting down to write this only after contacting this firm regarding my concerns on three separate occasions over the past 3 weeks. Each time, I left my name and contact info with the office staff, and each time, I was given the promise of an email and phone response by a specific date. Well, still no response. I think three weeks is certainly more than enough time. Lee was very responsive up until we paid our $5k retainer. Then he became the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. We were passed on to Julia, another lawyer in the firm. Certainly nice, but we did not feel like she was very responsive, advocating hard for our son and was perhaps even a bit intimidated by the prosecuting attorney, basically suggesting we take whatever they were suggesting and not put up much of a fight. Extremely disheartening when we are talking about a case that will no doubt negatively impact the next 25+ years of an otherwise upstanding 19 yr old with his entire life ahead of him, who, in Lee's own words, "should not be defined by a single bad decision". This has been our very first and only experience with the whole criminal justice system, and it has not been at all pleasant. Very little response from this firm, unless we initiated. Without going into too much detail, we were informed (by another lawyer not even on this case or from the Ciccarelli firm) that there was a bench warrant out for our son, and we would forfeit our $50k in bail because he failed to show up for a court hearing. Our attorney had told us he did not need to attend, yet failed to file the correct paperwork, causing the warrant to be issued. Lawyer blamed court; clerk of courts said lawyer called her, begging her to fix lawyer's mistakes, and that she (clerk) would actually fire lawyer if she were us. Not an easy, quick fix over the phone. Had to show up at courthouse first thing in A.M., ask to be seen by a judge to explain and hope judge will quash warrant and reinstate bail. Lee's firm sent yet another lawyer to represent, although he was only a consultant and not actually part of Lee's firm. Nice guy, but we did not ask for or need anyone to go with us really. The clerk of courts was extremely helpful and walked us through everything. We have since hired a new attorney, as we were continuously losing faith in the Ciccarelli firm over time. Had I received a response when I requested a break down of hours spent on our son's case, and an acknowledgement and listening ear from Lee regarding our experience, I would have not written this review. But I think it's important to share our experience for others considering hiring this firm, especially with them having lots of positive reviews out there as well. I'm glad others have had a positive experience, but sadly, ours was not and we would not hire them again nor would we recommend this firm. Went in for a consultation and felt extremely unwanted and unimportant. The lawyer I spoke with didn't listen to a word I said and kept giving generic responses of "I need to see such-and-such first". She clearly didn't believe me (so much for innocent until proven guilty) and wouldn't even answer my basic questions. I assured her I had access to all the paperwork she needed (which I did), and I wanted to make sure my case had a chance before putting in a lot of effort to gather it from everywhere. She couldn't possibly have cared less. Unless you're going in with an easy-win for a lot of money, I get the impression you're not welcome here. ~~ Review above unchanged ~~ Some more information since they responded: I did, indeed, go in for a consultation, but I regularly use my middle name as my first name, which is the one they have on file. Given their willingness to dig through their records and find out who I am, I'm rather glad they can't associate my first and middle names. And they did send me a private message (which was polite), but I chose not to respond. I'm not interested in getting in an argument with a lawyer - I'm sure they can understand why. They also did not turn down my claim. I never returned to them with my paperwork due to the unwilling and judgmental attitude of the lawyer I spoke with. So this is not a disgruntled "how dare you not accept my case" review. This is 100% based on the 30 minutes spent with them reviewing my situation. But what can I say, first impressions are important. In fact, my entire time with her could have been summed up with "I have nothing to say to you until you provide me with absolutely every bit of paper I need". I hired this firm for my son for a DUI related to marijuana. I was assigned a lawyer who filled our heads with words like "suppression" "overturn" "discovery" "review police tape"...needless to say, he blew smoke up our butts so we would hire this firm. We discussed the case and were assured that we would be in constant communication with updates. When we didn't hear from anyone after a period of time, we tried to reach out to the lawyer with still no contact until I called and complain. When we wanted to meet with him before the hearing he had a family emergency last minute and wanted to reschedule. We could not reschedule and since we were told the firm "reviewed cases" every Monday as a team, anyone could speak to us about the case. We requested that option for the meeting and this was not received well. After complaining and explaining we could not make another meeting, we we were granted our meeting with Lee Ciccarelli himself. He advised my son to plead guilty (no suppression, no turnover, no review of tapes in discovery) and he would only do 72 hours in county jail at the "farm" where they put all weekend DUI inmates...and if my son needed anything, he [Mr. Ciccarelli] lives 2 miles away and we'll be there to help him. Wow!! What a guy I thought!!' Well again, none of this happened. He served 72 hours in general population, lost his license for 1 year and has not been eligible for the interlock device as of yet. The 1 thing Mr. Ciccarelli did offer at the time of our meeting was if we have any hesitancy about anything "just say the word". Well, after leaving that meeting with him, my son did have reservations about the original lawyer who promised us the possibility of suppression etc, and we did complain and requested different counsel. This request was granted and the lawyer assigned to us was straight forward, honest and professional. She informed my son of the law and her knowledge of the Chester County court system. She made me (as a mother) feel less anxious about my sons consequences and was quick with responses if we had a question. We do thank her for her professionalism but if we had not complained and I did not advocate for my son, we would have been deeply disappointed with the original proposed outcome of this case. I still believe his firm lied and made promises to my son to obtain the business. I despise liars and would much rather had originally been told what they knew would happen as professed experienced lawyers in Chester County. Find different counsel if you are in need...this firm evidentially has only 1 professional and honest lawyer on their team. Do you want to take that chance? read more

My entire experience with Mr. Tebay was excellent. He was very thorough as settlement approached and it couldn't be more appreciated. He was very upfront with me regarding my expectations and it was enough for me to know I chose the right lawyer. He didn't waste my time and kept me in the loop as my case progressed. If you need representation, this is the firm you want representing you. They indeed have your best interests in mind. this law firm does not keep up with new laws passed. Very up set with this firm in Westchester they charged me 2500 for a dui that was sussposed to be ard. I had no charges for over 10 years. The da would not give me ard for my driving record. I was told by the corrupted judge and this law firm no interlock. Quess what pendot said inter lock.They said I am a criminal lol those in the pulpit are the criminals. They all sleep together hand shakes be hind backs, don't come here if you want help or jail time you will go. read more

I am very disappointed in this firm. They did a poor job and left out very important details in my divorce decree. I trusted them and now it's costing me more time and money to resolve what they left out with another attorney. My attorney (Ryan) does not even respond to my emails. Had a consulation with this firm regarding my son. While spending 45 minutes with this lawyer, he was either severely inexperienced or in my opinion unqualified to practice in criminal law. Almost every response was the most wishy washy and non committal answer you could expect. I understand there are no guaranteed outcomes, but I basically interviewed him and he was on the defense from the start. If you are looking for someone to provide a vigorous defense for you, I would suggest you look elsewhere. Advice to this firm, you can charge top dollar for your services, however provide a seasoned attorney or someone who has enough experience in their field. If this consultation is any indication of the defense they would have provided, I am glad I did not engage their services! I hired this law office for my daughter who was facing scary legal issues. I am happy with the work that was performed. I want to thank ciccarelli law offices for being so kind to my daughter when they met with her. After that meeting with us, she was able to relax. I slipped on salt in a parking lot sustaining a severe distal femur fracture of my left leg March 9th. There is a knee replacement that was done 5 yrs ago. Surgery was the next day. The lawyer came to my apartment because I was non weight bearing x 10 weeks after surgery. After the first visit I never heard from him. He provided me with no paperwork regarding the case. Did not speak to anyone who was there that day. There were 8 people standing around me....employees of the store. The video clearly shows me slipping on something going straight down to the ground. After 12 weeks he comes back to tell me he is not proceeding with the case. Very fishy. read more
