I first started seeing this chiropractor after a car accident. The car insurance company paid for…read moremy treatment until approximately a month and a half after starting treatment. At that point, Health Horizons informed me that they will no longer take my insurance, and I need to pay out of pocket per visit ($55 per visit for approximately 2 months, multiple appointments). I agreed to this. Once they started asking me to make multiple appointments on multiple days of the week, I opted to stop treatment. The total length of treatment was approximately 3 months. Following that, I was suddenly informed by Health Horizons that the insurance company opted not to make any payments to Health Horizons, and I owed them $700. When I asked why it took the insurance company months to inform them of non-payment, they told me, "that's how it works". This chiropractor is the reason why this "form of treatment" has such a negative reputation both in the medical field and also among the general public. This office sees every patient not as a human being, but as a dollar sign. When their checks stopped being written, they suddenly had insurance issues, and I needed to pay up or else! The "chiropractor" actually left me threatening voice mail messages. Avoid these bottom-feeder scammers at all costs! In response to below: I would never bother with your unscrupulous business again. I will only warn others of your shady practice. this insurance is auto related insurance, not health insurance. I know how much insurance I carry and in this case, it was covered by another liable insurance carrier. In office treatment time averages 10-12 minutes per session. The sessions you are saying that are not covered by insurance in a month were about 10. So 10, 12 minute sessions costs $700 out of pocket??? It's sad that businesses like yours exist, taking advantage of people in uncertain times. You reap what you sow...

For my last appointment, a last minute business appointment arose and I was only able to provide a 21 hour notice rather than the required 24. They kept my money and said if I wanted to reschedule I needed to pay again. Though I love Gretchen as a masseuse, I will never use the services of this business again. Do not buy their Groupon. I guess profits are so poor that you'd rather take a clients money than make accommodations. I will take my money elsewhere.
