Finding Health Horizons was a great blessing from God. My journey began in October 2008 from an injury that occurred September 2008. Once I was introduced to Health Horizons, I have continued my visits to maintain optimal health. It is now April 2014, and I have truly improved my health. I have recommended many people (too many to count) to check out the services that they offer and I will continue to spread the word about my wonderful experience. I do not know how my health would be if someone never referred me to Health Horizons. Here is my testimony: My husband, Gary, and I love to explore bike trails; however, this ride did not end as originally planned. September 27, 2008, we began our adventure on a bike trail but I had an unpleasant fall off of a bridge (approx. 4 to 5 feet down) into the creek. As I was inevitably approaching my unpleasant landing, I landed on my left side of my chest hitting this large rock. This literally knocked the wind out of me. However, God protected me because I did not lose consciousness, nor did I break any bones. Initially, I did not know what caused me to go over the bridge, until my husband was trying to rescue me. In an effort to give me, more time to catch the wind that was knocked out of me, I gave him my bike first. Then, I held myself up by the bridge while I focused on regaining my breath. As my husband tried to embrace himself, so he would not fall in; however, he stepped on a loose wooden plank and his whole leg fell into the bridge. He pulled himself out from in between the planks and then he continued to assess how to pull me out. The immediate brush the surrounded the creek contained many bushes with thorns. So I knew the only way back out was to crawl back onto the bridge. I was successful getting back onto the bridge without furthering my injury. The faulty bridge caused my fall. My PCP just wanted to prescribe anti-flamitory prescription: Naproxen, and as a back-up Vicodin. If in two weeks, things did not get better to call him back. As you can imagine, having a rib injury caused great discomfort. I followed the orders and after two weeks passed, I was still in a lot of pain and I did not feel any progress was made. Therefore, I made another appointment to my PCP. He told me that I was not giving it enough time and he prescribed more medicine. They used a hand held instrument called an activator to perform adjustments as well as trigger point myotherapy. Heath Horizons was different in a very good way because I did not feel like I was a number to them. All of the Health Horizons staff was extremely compassionate. Under continued treatment with Doctor Roth, I began seeing, Carmen Petracco, the massage therapist in Health Horizons 2x/week. This began after my microcurrent treatments with Tina Haas ended, which was about five weeks into my care. In my opinion, Carmen is my favorite massage therapist because she combined a variation of muscle release techniques with deep tissue and trigger point massages. My relationship with Health Horizons (past, present, and future) will keep me healthy. Not only has Dr. Kathy Roth helped me recover my rib injury, but also she has fixed my planters fasciitis in my feet. When I had braces, she adjusted my jaw as necessary to relieve the discomfort that I had with the movement of my teeth. I have also used their nutrition program under Dr. Katherine Palombini and Dr. Frank Cicirello. This program was incredibly unique and met my needs by improving my overall health. Health Horizons will always be a part of my life and I welcome anyone to try it. Today, I enjoy riding my bicycle again, with my husband, and I owe it to everyone in the office. I was rear-ended at a stop sign by someone going 50mph. He swerved at the last second and hit me at an angle, otherwise I would probably have died. I walked away but for weeks afterwards I was foggy and felt this strange suffocating feeling, even though my airway was fine. I also noticed that my head dropped to one side and it took effort to keep it up straight. I saw a medical doctor but received referrals only for concussion. This was not my problem. On the advice of a friend, I tried Health Horizons. They did an X-ray analysis of my posture and determined that my atlas had become misaligned. (The atlas is a vertebra at the top of the spinal column; as I understand it, it holds up the head the way Atlas held up the world.) They showed me the digital image of my X-ray, with points marked for the center of each vertebrae, and it was obvious: at the atlas point of my spine there was a sharp bend in the line. They scheduled me for an atlas adjustment -- a painless procedure where the doctor has you lie in a precise position and then taps your atlas with an imperceptible instrument. I had to lie still thereafter, and keep my posture aligned for 24 hours with a neck collar. The suffocating feeling was gone. The doctor taught me how a misaligned atlas constricts blood flow to the brain, causing that feeling and the fogginess that naturally follows. Also gone was the tipping of my head. My posture was now perfect, and it was visible on the digital image they did for follow up visits. Without Health Horizons, I believe I would have spent a lifetime with mysterious feelings of suffocation and fogginess, not to mention a tilting head. Or I might have pursued costly and invasive procedures. Instead, my problem was solved painlessly. I am in my 50's and have never been so quickly and painlessly cured of a serious health problem. I had never been to a chiropractor prior to January, 2014. I am a 65 , female, with multiple issues, (inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, stenosis, radicular leg pain, etc. ) all of which affect my musculo-skeletal system. I appreciated being able to talk to Dr. Roth about all of my issues and have her look at the problems wholistically. Education about the spine and the interplay between nerves and other systems is provided, which i appreciated. The adjustments by Dr. Roth are gentle and actually feel good to me. I started with three sessions/week and am now down to two. While some of my disc problems remain and may require surgery at some point, I feel much better all over. I feel straighter and stronger. I have also received some massages, (from Carmen) which have helped with muscular stiffness. This office is extremely organized and the staff is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is pleasant and soothing, and I look forward to going and feel better every time I leave, even though it is a bit of a drive for me. Insurance claims are submitted by the practice and the treatment fees seem reasonable. I would be happy to recommend Health Horizons to anyone seeking chiropractic care. read more

Highly recommend! I'm not sure I can fit all the good things here. I started going to Health Horizons with my first pregnancy. I've always had lower back pain and this helped so much. I also attribute Dr. Roth for enabling me to have a 10.2oz baby without a cesarean. With my second pregnancy I got server pelvic girdle pain. I was having constant pain and could barely walk, so I started to see Dr. Roth again. Within 1 week the pain had subsided and within 2 week it was gone. I still had a little trouble walking but after I had the baby and continuing care I was fine. I still see Dr. Roth so I can keep up with my 2 guys. I also like the techniques Dr. Roth uses. It is not the stereo typical cracking and twisting, it feels more like a message. To list a few other good thing about health Horizons--great with making and changing appointment (my life is very busy and I have to change appointments often-they never get upset and always find a way to fit me in), employees always greet you by your name, e-mail reminders, evening hours, so many services, and really care about you and your health. read more

After a car accident, I sustained a whip lash. The pain and headaches were awful! I was referred to Health Horizons by a friend. Word cannot express the care and treatment I received by the staff! Dr Roth was my primary doctor for treatment and she made me feel comfortable, reduced my anxiety regarding the treatment and completely healed my neck injuries and headaches! I am now a believer of the benefit of chiropractics! Since then I have received treatment for a back issue after another injury, I also have used many of the supplements for various health issues that have arose over the years as well. Where do I begin to tell you all the wonderful things that have happened to my health and the quality of my life, since I became a patient 15 years ago. I was seeing a chiropractor who used manual manipulation before I came to Health Horizons. Even with treatment, I still suffered from severe neck pain. The pain in my neck is gone and evens my migraine headaches have disappeared since coming here. They have also helped the arthritis in my knees. My all around health has improved greatly. I have been going to Health Horizons for the past few years now and seeing Dr. Roth due to a head, neck and shoulder issues I have. My head was tilting to the left and Dr. Roth did something called atlas orthogonal technique on me to get my head and shoulders back in alignment without doing the usual chiropractic techniques/adjusting. With a click of a button, my head went back to normal. I had to go back several times afterward to get some minor adjustments and to make sure everything stayed in alignment and it has. I am very grateful to Dr. Roth for all she has done for me. I still go on occasion and have bought herbs there as well after having some muscle testing done. I had been struggling with POTS and dysautonomic dysfunction for 9 months. I had been to several cardiologist and neurologists to get help. I was barely able to function, much less be productive in my career. I heard that Dr. Roth had started a new technique which was atlas orthogonal treatment. Several years ago I had visited two different specialists about a skin condition that kept getting worse. I was being treated for symptoms that would just reoccur.
