Passing on 112 and saw the road sign. I called to confirm…read morethey are definitely open! Spent an hour or so drinking it all in- literally. Tasted several of the ciders they have on tap. Took a look off the back porch and saw the same pretty countryside I'd been driving through for the past several hours. But it was nice to stand out in the sun and enjoy it. Spent way too much in the mini grocery but came away with some nice souvenirs, and a few cans of the good stuff. Plus a nice slice of Apple Pie to go!

Came here as part of a tasting deal, in which for two people you get a total of 6x 6oz sample out…read moreof the selection of ciders and a cheese tasting platter with Québec made cheeses. The package also came with a homemade pie, 4 bottles of cider to take home from the basic line AND a 1L growler with a cider of choice from your tasting selection. There is seating outside as well as inside overlooking the orchard which is lovely as you have the mountain in the background. If going for the bar or or tasting, service can be slow however you are there to relax. The best is to order right away at the bar for drinks and the bistro for food. The ladies working the bar and tasting area were very nice and friendly. Inside there is also a boutique to make other purchases if you want to take things to go. As part of covid they to require masks inside and have separate entrances for the boutique and bistro/bar.

Came in here and we were the only ones like in the other two cideries. The big difference here is that Du Minot makes A LOT of ciders of all types. The woman helping us guided us through their portfolio and let us try just about everything they offered from bottle pours including pours of specialties and old vintages. Lots of fun. However, most of what they make is okay and not stellar and almost everything can be bought at Marche des Saveurs in Jean Talon Market in Montreal. So go here for the experience, not for specific bottle hunting. I loved trying the ciders and the staff was hilarious and good spirited though possibly already drunk.

Lobo apples are delicious! There's ladders for those hard to reach apples and plenty of children's parks around and even a little farm with goats and chickens so a great day out for all the family!

If you go during peak apple picking season in September, expect to find large crowds everywhere! If you go in the beginning of October, it is much less crowded and you may even be able to find an available ladder in the orchard. I personally prefer visiting in the first two weeks of October since you can pick Cortland apples as they're the last type of apple to ripen and they keep really well. In September, it's too early for them and they're usually very small and unripe. What to know about visiting during covid is that you're not allowed to eat the apples in the orchard but then again, there's no enforcement of it so people do so anyway. There are lines to go into the boutique and bistro but you have the music of the live band to keep you entertained while you wait. They make some sought after apple donuts and the best place to pick up the donuts are at the Bistro. You can get them fresh out of the fryer and it's 6 for $13.75. They're not as appley as I had hoped, rather they're very doughy and cinnamony. They're best eaten fresh. We warmed them up in the oven the next day but not as good. So my advice is to get what you can eat immediately. If you want honeycrisp apples, those are available outside the boutique already picked, available in 3 sizes: 3lb, 5lb and 10lb. You can also buy other pre-picked apples and mini sour apples. There's a very tall sour mini apple tree located at one of the intersections in the orchard and the kiddies love eating them. If you're going during peak season, go early because the crowds swell as the day progresses. There's tons of parking around so that part isn't a problem. Since they're open year round, you could save the visits to the boutique for another time and avoid the crowds.
