Was traveling from California to Roswell New Mexico with our 9 month old frenchie puppy Katana to visit my sister and road trip with her to a family graduation in another state. We noticed Katana's appetite was dropping off a bit, but she still drank water, played like a puppy and seemed ok except for her appetite. We came back home to Roswell and she started having some problems with her potty routine and still her appetite so my sister recommended going to her vet Cielo Grande. I called and explained my concerns and her behavior and they immediately let me know that the issue wasn't serious and most pets who travel for the first time on long trips may experience these issues, but said if she still exhibits symptoms to bring her in. I ended up bringing her in on a Friday with walk in hours that they have and this vet office was pretty busy, but that made me feel more at ease as it shows that people come here and trust this vet office with their fur babies. The front desk was very patient and helped me get Katana into their system as this was her first visit there and we are from out of state. We saw Dr Sierra and she ordered some tests and thankfully Katana didn't have any parasites, she just had upset stomach from traveling, environment changes and food changes. She explained thoroughly everything and we went home with a medication that will help Katana feel better and get her back on track. I appreciated the care they took with the first step of getting us checked in all the way to the end of the visit. Thank you to all the staff there that cared so much and treated us like family from the get go. This will be the place we go for our pets anytime we are here in Roswell New Mexico. Dr. Weiner is a good vet with impressive surgical skills. He saved my boy's life when he swallowed a foreign object and he did this over a Labor Day holiday weekend. Very thankful for him and his staff. He's no nonsense when it comes to treatment planning. His prices are fair compared to other states like CA. Only reservation is to always double check your billing because I've been charged extra for things that weren't suppose to be. Had to come to the office to pick up a refund check but they corrected the issue and that's all that matters. Would recommend this office for vet care. read more

this place has terrible business practices. they will not authorize your prescription by phone to chewy or petco, a problem i have never had with any other vet in 10 years. now my sick dog is about to run out of meds for the second time due to this place's lack of compassion. avoid if you care about your pet and ever plan on filling a prescription from anywhere else. read more

I took my cat here in October and told them that I thought he had a UTI because he started peeing everywhere when he previously only ever peed in his litter box. They did no additional testing and told me that it was because he was "stressed." Two months later, my cat DIED. Thanks for killing my 8 year old baby. Horrible place. read more

On Thursday July 13, 2023 about 6 pm our bulldog Tank was bitten by a rattlesnake of all places on the tongue. I live 20 miles out. I called Dr Wenner and he met me at the clinic and immediately started my boy on the anti venom. Wasn't really sure if Tank would make it through the night because his tongue was already swelling so he worried about it closing his air way (bulldogs already have a hard time breathing) The next morning I got a call and they said I have the Dr on the phone and my heart dropped, but much to his surprise Tank made it through the night. Friday he was still swelling. Saturday the Dr called and said I think I'm going to let Tank go home. I was worried it was too soon but he came home. We spoon fed him wet dog food and made sure he stayed hydrated. Tuesday 5 days after the attack I took Tank to make sure he was doing ok and parts of his tongue were dying so Dr Wenner cleaned it all up. Thursday July 29, 2023 Tank celebrated his 9th birthday (which I wasn't sure he would) Today July 25, 2023 I took Tank in for another follow up and he's doing amazing. He's eating and drinking. Dr Wenner and his entire staff are amazing and have showed so much compassion for Tank. They saved my boys life. I am forever thankful for everything that they did. They are truly the best. They listened to me and relieved my stress and anxiety over my 3 year old Lilac Point Siamese being sick. We were recently relocated to Carlsbad and hadn't yet found a vet. When our dog became ill I called multiple vets in Carlsbad and Artesia with no luck. During one call to a vet in Artesia they recommended calling Cielo Grande. I called and they were able to get us in the same day. The facility was very clean and Dr. Wenner and his staff were professional and kind to us and our dog. We were impressed with the quick (but thorough) service and felt the pricing was very fair. I highly recommend this facility and will continue to drive the 1+ hours to have our dog seen here. read more

I have left a message, I have sent an email and still no response. I have had the worse experience ever. I have had my service dog, toy poodle, for 4 years now and I have never left her anywhere. I trusted Dr Wenners and staff to take good care of our dog for 2 nights while I was in Albuquerque. I get a phone call stating that our dog was lost. Words can not explain how horrible this was. Me and My daughter were devastated. Our dog was lost but thank God she was found by great people Anna Dowdy and husband. Our 5 lb dog was found in enchanted hills. This was a long distance for our small dog. I can not thank them enough. I went the next day to pick up our dogs things and I received the worse service ever. After getting things squared away with staff, Olga and another girl, not once, did they say sorry, is your dog ok, can we do anything, no, what happened is I had to tell them "do you have anything to say on losing my dog? Can I get an "I am sorry Mrs. Delgado or anything?" Olga looks at me and all she says is "sorry about that". Still no "I am Sorry" Really, no apology !! I asked Olga to tell Dr Wenners to call me by the end of the day. This was Friday and as of today still no call. I no longer need a phone call or their services. They didn't have any compassion when I went in and this was so disappointing. read more

This place will rip you off if you're not paying attention! We were quoted 170 to spay a cat so we made an appointment. My wife dropped her off and I picked her up. When they brought the cat out they told me 350 dollars! I asked what happened to the 170? She then showed me a piece of paper my wife put her initials on agreeing to all kinds of extra stuff like a chip! Who chips an indoor only cat??? I asked me wife later about this and she says the lady just handed her a piece of paper and said put your initials on it so she did. I suppose it's our fault for not paying attention, but these are dirty practices. Do not trust these people at all! read more

Absolutely not to be trusted with your loved pets. Our healthy, adolescent dog contracted Parvovirus after being vaccinated against Parvo with an ineffective vaccine at his office. Our dog then spent 4 days at his office being treated for the viral infection, where our dog should have had every chance to survive. Despite this, the antibiotics used to prevent sepsis as a result of the viral infection were not working on her- different antibiotics are available and should have then been implemented. Our sweet, loved 1.5 year-old dog ultimately ended up dying a painful, unnecessary death due to all around incompetence. read more

Awesome care and concern for my very sick older dog. Traveling through Roswell my dog became very ill, I called in the morning and got an afternoon appointment. We got some very bad news from the blood work, but Dr. Wenner and staff were supportive and after a week we have medication for maintenance care for however long we have left.
