He checked and did have the part available, more importantly he was willing to stay past his regular closing time and fix it! He then arranged to tow the car from the parking lot where it was stuck, to his garage, so I remained at home. When it was ready he thoroughly went over what was wrong and how it was repaired. He charged me for actual hours of labor, not according to the fake scale that dealers use. He also insisted my daughter call him on his cell phone when she arrived safely for some further checks. This was over a month ago and the car has been fine. The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars ( would give him 4.5 stars but don't see how to add the half star) is because I was charged for the tow and was not told the cost ahead of time. He did say my insurance company would most likely reimburse me, which they did. Also his estimate for the work was slightly higher than quoted, but he did say it was an estimate. I would return to him for other work, and was glad to find him. Lately there has been a lot in the news about mechanics ripping off women and treating us poorly, this is absolutely NOT the case here!
