For Mothers Day,I wanted to try something different and booked Cafe on St. Armand's- where Cafe…read moreEurope use to be. The restaurant is very large offering both indoor and outdoor dining. Inside has 3 rooms; bar area, and two dining rooms. Mediterranean tapas inspired menu- we shared some small plates. The grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, kefta pita( my favorite) and Moroccan hot honey sliders. Everything was delicious and the drinks complimented the entrees. My Spanish gin and tonic was very different (good) and beautifully prepared. My wife had lemon- lavender tequila and Paloma and both were refreshing. Luis was a terrific server who made some recommendations and knew the menus. A worthwhile find that deserves another visit- especially during happy hours.

They allowed us to enjoy our meal- take our time with drinks and dessert. The Dubai martini was delicious. Same with the espresso martini- smooth and SO good. One of my favs around. The small dirty martini salad was shared by three of us-kale, green olives- loved it. Mushroom Bisque was outstanding. Creamy, rich (but not overly)- and so tasty. Sicilian Pomodoro was also such a wonderful plate. 4 shrimp topped with whipped ricotta and pasta - loved! Shared the Tarta de Santiago for dessert. Light, sweet- love an almonds cake.

I used to be a server, so I completely understand. We originally sat inside, but the night was too beautiful to waste, so we asked to move outside. Our server was totally fine with it and continued to provide great service. We placed our order, and it took about 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive, which was perfectly fine since we were enjoying the beautiful evening and having great conversation. I ordered the Better Than Ceviche. It was pretty small and came with A LOT of chips. It worked out since I was looking for a light dinner. One of my friends ordered the kids' nuggets and fries. The fries were a little salty and oily. Another friend got the mac and cheese, which she enjoyed, but not enough to take any leftovers home. Overall, I don't think I would go back, but I do appreciate the service and the fact that they were willing to serve us so close to closing time.

This seems to be the new trend everywhere we go. Even more disappointing because we couldn't get happy hour prices for our drink because we were seated at a table. Our server was very friendly and quickly took our drink order. The list of cocktails and wines is extensive. I settled on a hibiscus infused cocktail with guava juice and lemonade. For me it was way too sweet. The menu is varied, but definitely geared toward seafood. There are no daily specials as the menu changes daily. I settled on a Caesar salad and the crab cakes. While waiting for my salad we were served salmon pate with some crackers and also fresh warm bread. Both were very good. My salad looked very nice and was good too. We waited a longer than normal time for our entrees. My crab cakes were just ok. Yes, there was tons of crab and little filler, but they were dry and the sauce on the side only helped a bit.

Decently good! This…read morerestaurant is owned by the same group as Columbia Restaurant that is right next door. They are very different though. The menu here is more coastal/floribbean. My group got the chicken with guava/banana/mango, burger, coconut shrimp, and conch fritters. I thought the chicken was very very good. I really liked the flavors and the chicken was very juicy. The burger was good as well. The coconut shrimp was very coconut heavy, less so shrimp. They were good, though. The conch fritters were also pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. For desert, we got the guava mango cheesecake and the key lime pie. Both of these were amazing! The cheesecake had a great guava flavor and the key lime pie tasted so good and not artificial at all (which some restaurants definitely do.. yuck!) Overall, decently good meal! The server was very attentive and the inside had lots of seating. I made the reservation for here and it didn't seem to get too packed throughout the time we were there. The inside and outside are connected and open so it was nice for people watching.

The food was very average. I got the jerk chicken tacos with rice and beans. Only 2 tacos but they weren't bad. Wife got chicken quesadillas and they were very wet and chicken tasted funny. Salsa wasn't terrible. Daughter had the Cuban sandwich and said it was a 10 out of 10. Overall for the first night on the island it set expectation to only go up.

Locals were trying to tell me this place is overhyped but I think it's hyped for a good reason…read more The food here was SO good. As a Cuban from the Miami area, this is good Cuban food. And the portions are HUGE. We had a reservation which was well used as it was pretty packed. We sat inside. It was pretty warm inside, though, from the heat so just be prepared for that. We got a pitcher of sangria and they make it right beside the table. It was SO good. Wow. Each person got about 1/4 a loaf of warm bread. They did say it was cuban bread but it wasn't really. But hey the bread was good. We got their famous salad to try (one side order for 2 people to split and one person got it as their entree) and it was very good. They also make that table side. For our meals, we got the lechón, salad, and fish. The portions were HUGE. So much pork. It came with great tasing yucca, beans, and plantains too. For desert, we got the guava pastry and the natilla. The guava pastry was actually kind of amazing. Warm and so so good. The natilla was good but it was closer to a crème brûlée. It was still good, though. I'm excited to go to another (closer) location of theirs again. It was really such good food. We were also able to take our leftovers with us since they gave us so much food. The lechón plate is definitely splittable.

That first day we sat inside at the bar and shared the Caesar salad and Pollo Panini--both absolutely outstanding. The Caesar dressing was perfect, with a subtle anchovy flavor that made all the difference, and the crispy polenta croutons were incredible. The Pollo Panini was one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--every flavor shined, from the zucchini and pesto to the chicken and cheese. Yesterday, on our way to golf, we stopped in again for lunch and enjoyed a beautiful day on the patio. Vanessa greeted us warmly and served delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic that we couldn't resist. Jared, our server, was fantastic and even confirmed the panini was his favorite too! The service was attentive and welcoming, and everything was just as delicious as we remembered--proof they truly get it right every time. I also had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Gianca, who was incredibly kind and clearly proud of the food being served. We can't wait to return, try another panini at lunch (note: paninis are lunch only), and bring friends for dinner. There was a private party upstairs when we visited last night and there were no tables available outside. It was a beautiful evening to sit outside and most diners were already taking advantage. Rather than wait we opted to sit inside. With the exception of it being quite loud, the bright dining room with a modest décor was also a nice place to dine, and our server did a top-notch job taking care of us. My wife and I decided to share our food, a Ricca Salad and a Capricciosa Pizza. We added Italian sausage to the pizza for an upcharge. The salad was fine and a good start as our pizza was being prepared. The pizza was outstanding. It brought back memories of when I learned to love the very thin crust Neapolitan style pizza we had in Italy. Full of flavor, I could have eaten slice after slice after slice after slice. This was the best pizza I have had in a long time.
