One of my favorite go-to cigar shops in the area. Fair prices and very good selections. Comfortable seating and good selection of beer, wine and other beverages. They have some hard to find cigar brands that are amazingly good and always please. Owners are always pleasant and very accommodating. The place feels welcoming any time my friends and I visit. This is the third time I've been to Maduro since I moved here a few months ago, but last night was the best. I'm used to lounges being stuffy, but definitely not the case. Great conversation, friendly people and when the games were over on TV, Paul played YouTube DJ and everyone got involved. Good cigars and general setting was comfortable and relaxing in big chairs. was a bit tough on my eyes for some reason.

I stopped in during mid day, mid week. There were a bunch of folks here, I grabbed a seat at the bar, used their cutter and lighter on the bar. I bought five cigars and I enjoyed two while here. Chuck (a fellow that I met a few months ago) stopped in (he works here a few days each week) and he got his supply. I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me one of his favorites to try, it was a newspaper wrapped cigar. Audrey (an owner here) was pleasant to talk with and the other customers were very friendly too. This is a great place to stop and have a cigar, a beer and socialize a bit. Maduro's cigar bar is a great place to unwind after work or have a glass of wine before going to dinner. They serve high end wines, imported beers and 600+ types of cigars; there is a something for everyone. You can relax in a overstuffed leather chair while watching the flat screens, or bring your notebook, they have wireless Internet. The service is top notch and the club is impeccably clean!! The clientele is also very friendly, they play great music and host special events occasionally which are great fun, usually along with Cuban food, ports, wines or rum for sample. By far this is a relaxing place for adults. My personal favorite is the OZV zinfandel along with the Gurkha Shaggy. read more

Always a pleasure stopping into Maduro's during my annual retreat to Siesta Key. The Hernandez Bros encouraged my initial visit and I truly love Kim's selections. They keep the greats in stock and I'm always surprised my some of the hidden gems they put out. Great selection of Tatuaje, My Father, Drew Estate, Illusione, Crowned Heads, and Padron... My favorites! Wish they were open til midnight, because I'd stay parked here instead of the bar scene. Closed at 8 during weekdays. 10pm on weekends. read more

Far selection, cigars on the dry side,, prices above average I was overcharged on on two occasions. The first visit I was charged double for onw of my cigars. The second visit they couldn't correct the mistake because owner Manger was not there . On second purchase they overcharged on one of the cigars mistaken for other cigar, had to get refund of difference. I will not return again. If your traveling to Sarasota bring tour own. read more

Nice medium sized shop with good selection of fine cigars. Much better customer service than the other location on University by the same name. They could use a little training on cigar lounge etiquette in my view. All TVs were on Fox News and the two guys sitting at the bar were ranting about Trump being great, Obama sucking and his deep state causing all of our problems and how global warming was a hoax for at least an hour. Bartender was nice. Tip guys: leave the politics and religion out of the cigar lounge. I'm coming to relax and smoke a cigar not listen to far right political rants! Pleasant atmosphere on the few occasions I've frequented the place. Being from NYC, lounges up there aren't allowed to serve alcohol along with your smoke. The few that do, ended up grandfathered in before Bloomberg's smoking ban was enacted in 2003. The pairings here are limited to wines, and beer, sorry no Bourbon. Prices are comparable for most smokes. The couple of Liga Privada's in the corner can't be beat for that price. Staff have been courteous and professional, especially Amber, she's great. Im Happy there's always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the lounge area. Patrons are good blue collar people with awesome stories to share. Decent selection of the well known brands but few of the boutique brands. There is no walk in humidor. All the cigars are on open shelves at the front of the store and the smoking area is in the back. The cigars are exposed to cigar smoke and changes in temperature and humidity every time the exterior door is opened. Not the best set up for preserving cigars. My cigar had burn issues and the ash flowered. Not a bad place to smoke and have a drink, but I would not buy any extra cigars stored in these less than ideal conditions. read more
